@SledDriver it’s kinda funny to be honest, birds are some of the best flying things yet every time we try to recreate one it fails and jets and planes don’t look anything like birds.

@SledDriver kinda awesome how we got so far, went from a bicycle propelled airplane to jet engines that create so much thrust they can fly straight up for some time.
@daygus11 Wing design has been altered the engines has been moved and smoothed. gun placement is better. carries a heavier load. maneuvers a ton better a better nose has been added. arrow points on the wings to have the ability to add weight to slow down roll rate if wanted. airbrakes have been changed. body is slightly smaller. its lighter. has also been smoothed. colors are different. can have a higher maximum load. cockpit has reduced drag. guns are deadlier than original. a center line pylon that is in the plane. a V configuration rudder for even more horizontal stability. a slight anhedral to increase roll rate and instability for better maneuvering and versatility. its shorter. more surface area on the wing allows for ground effect abuse and for less surfing when out of ground effect. also a name change.
@ThomasRoderick go ahead by all means use it, my aircraft are for the whole world to see and use, make your own modifications to it I don't really care if it's new.
@SledDriver would it be possible for you so make a copy or your own take on a covenant ship from halo? like one of the battlecruisers but smaller and such? To me they look amazing, both smooth and cool looking. Also this thing is amazing, kind of a breakthrough.
just now saw it sorry if im reallly late... looks like a P-51 Mustang with the 4x 20mm hispano cannons. mainly a British design with a Merlin engine. The airplane had a higher top speed than the engine could dream to reach. the engine was able to roughly pull the plane around 250mph while the plane can survive up to 400mph
@SledDriver ah, and well with enough thrust anything can fly. Rockets don’t have wings but they can fly. Same with helicopters. Although a propeller is technically a wing. Oh missiles fly without any wings they just got fins that stabilize them and turn them.
I am currently trying to figure out how to make a cargo bay so I can have a deplorable 100mm rotary cannon.
Looks awesome but a bit fragile. I feel like the elevator would be affected by flutter a lot. Maybe connect the elevator, then replace with a contra turbo prop or a jet engine it reminds me of the British vampire.
@SledDriver birds can hover in a small stream of air, birds can take off vertically easily using just rotational energy. One of the falcons can fly at 60mph ish and impact water without taking any damage to itself then come right back out the water with fish. Birds can precisely land. Their wings have slots so they can decrease lift and increase it when they please without weight. Birds also don’t need jet engines or propellers. As far as I know there is no human aircraft that had a stall speed of a snail and can take off vertically and still go as fast as 60mph. The only limiting factor to birds is materials they are made of lol biotic stuff isn’t as strong as aluminum. And birds can still fly up to 37,000 feet which is really high.
@LordAidanYT well you did a very good job it is very unique, the TAS thing though is a little weird since it doesn't tell you how fast the airplane is moving entirely, it shows how fast you are moving through the medium of air you are flying though. if a plane stalls at 90mph when IAS reaches 90mph then you are stalling but if TAS reaches there depending on where you are at in terms of altitude, you may be falling out the sky at a fast rate or in a super stall or something. IAS is relative to the aircraft and tells you if it can keep flying but TAS basically shows how fast you are going at that altitude and GS just shows you how fast you are going compared to the ground. TAS is also the reason why it's easier to go mach at higher altitudes but tougher at low altitude/
@SledDriver it’s hard to get it to fly straight. Try slapping a few bombs on it. I kept it in the gentle circle thing mostly because if you put enough bombs and weight the trim won’t keep it straight.
@SledDriver I tried to make tiny years using fuelsolage and the rotators, I get the gear teeth right but no matter speed or distance or anything as soon as they touch they explode.
@SledDriver if only simple planes had stronger collisions with certain parts. Then I would be able to do it stock easily but every time I use the fuelsolage it explodes.
@LordAidanYT This is a very good aircraft, a little awkward to fly but i don't really have any issues, it feels very smooth and natural although the elevators seeming to be inverted confused me for a while. i never really had issues with it. and you have wayyyy over 40 minutes of fuel... you only need 257L of fuel to last 40 minutes with the way the engine is. i was looking for IAS not TAS but since i didn't specify its alright both of those work.
@SledDriver I personally like the Tu... does that possibly stand for tupolev? And I was just waiting for your craft to see what you come up with I’m really excited. Especially since only one person made anything which was really awesome I made something too but I’m not gonna count it since I made it.
@SledDriver until the challenge is over, also yes that is variable wing, but it really isn’t like the f14 or f111 or anything that closes to reduce drag and increase top speed. I also had an idea if you wanna hop on the bandwagon.. you make a mother ship controlled by VTOL and trim.. and then a parasite fighter controlled normally. And a tip if you wanna do it. Parasite fighter comes first.
