@NathanMikeska @AndrewGarrison @TheLatentImage I was wrong for thinking I had any right to tell the dev's what to do. And for challenging TheLatentImage directly and thinking I had any authority over him. I'm really sorry, and I was wrong. I don't blame you if you hold it against me.
You know you guys could make the islands load in as the player gets near them. Kinda like Minecraft for mobile. The world loads in as you go, and saves what you've already passed. If that makes any sense.
YES! I guessed right! now I'm gonna try and figure out how to do that. If I succeed I will tag you. Might take me a couple months though. @NathanMikeska
Making the wings for SP must have been made through making custom meshes in code in unity, I've always wondered about how you guys made those wings. I get why you haven't updated them to look curved. I'm guessing at this though. @NathanMikeska
Hey, could I work for you guys... I've already built a couple of games. I'm taking quite a few online courses on game development. SimplePlanes doesn't seem like it would be too hard. I'm about to push an update to my newest game. It is 2D though. I have built a few 3D games. Maybe I could build a portfolio of games. I don't know you guys are the only ones who make creative games sandbox games the way you do. Except for these guys I've been following their Dev feed for a while, they've really got good on the optimization side. here's one of their blogs on one of their many dev tools used in the game Mesh Combine Studio @NathanMikeska

I wanted to make an apology for all the trouble i caused you guys on this and this @NathanMikeska @AndrewGarrison @TheLatentImage
Oh, nice! Heh, what do I know? @NathanMikeska
Unity has been updating their engine, and the performance that comes with that is pretty cool. It might be because of that. @DerekSP
That way you aren't loading all the islands in the background, but only the ones visible to the player.

@ProKillaV12 man the last time I looked at this straw poll was a while ago. It's interesting looking at what people voted.

I think they will get to that, but bugs are very important to fix. I mean I think so anyway. @Spacedoge12345plane
True.
@Spacedoge12345plane
heres a full list of all the dev tools they used and how they work! maybe you guys could try some of these. Edit: Ok that's not all of them, there was a lot more. @NathanMikeska
they used the same concept Minecraft used for "Combining mesh" @NathanMikeska
