@Rb2h landed and stopped right? Just add a condition so that it only activates above a certain GS. Or... Give me an unlisted link or I do it for you. Thanks for letting me know btw. I'll be putting up some updates mid December or so after I post the Ghost of Quechal (The demonstrator for this code)
But basically, go to AoA1, then do...
{{ GS>3 ? AngleOfSlip < 90 ? clamp(-AngleOfAttack/19,-3,3) : -1*clamp(-AngleOfAttack/19,-3,3) : 0 }}
@Rb2h Which one? The condition for if above a certain speed then change programme is in "PitchyWitchy", where the condition asks if GS<(Insert value here) ?
The value to be inserted must be in M/s
6 years with masterpiece after masterpiece? Holy. I'm glad you finally got there and I'm happy the challenge you made has got you some much needed recognition. Follow earnt!
@overlord5453 Having spent 4 Years banging my head on the wall that is relaxed stability did actually help me become someone who knows a thing or two about it. Again, let me know if you ever need some help!
Just saw the edit, may wanna increase the pitch divider for under 600mph
@Grob0s0VBRa Np. I made an addendum at the very bottom so that people can just directly copy and paste if they must.
Bonus toward you because this looks better thank Red markups.
@overlord5453 Oh yeah... If you're trying to put the COLBehind COM (And by quite a bit at that) then even PID inputs won't help... because frankly speaking It isn't possible, even IRL)
Reason being You're always at very high up rate because your wings are lifting before the mass is being "thrown" forward.
The farther back you go, the more precise your inputs need to be... at some point, You just can't limit it. Thought you could use that insight since you mentioned aggressive pitching. If it is aggressively pitching up and down then all you have to do is _Very slightly move your COM forward. It should be Okay if they are on top of each other as long as your pitch input isn't big.
@overlord5453 That's alright though because I'm always taggable if the changes have to be drastic. If you go with an realistic airframe though and keep the COM close to COL, you won't have much trouble actually just copying and pasting things as is. But thanks for the upvote and insight, always appreciated!
And once again, no need to credit me... because like you said, you may still have to understand the code and change inputs here and there which in and off itself is enough to justify fair use, but I'm also outright saying that I want this to go around as something that people use without even knowing who made it first, like the custom landing gear code which has been reused and re-editted about... a billion times, perhaps. Who knows...
@11qazxc You don't need to use smooth. But even then, it's a word you have to put in. bonus points for how I don't think it even remotely counts when compared to complexity of actual PID when all it's really doing is making the input slower than it's max speed.
I should also tell that @ThomasRoderick Had a big hand in this. The Idea to have it get more limiting as speed increased was his. He did try to code it in, but he went for something that would work with real life variables, not simpleplanes. I just managed to make something that works suprisingly well with the idea. I've been trying to make it work like that, where it increases limiting factor so that the amoung of g's pulled is constantly below a hard limit throughout the flight for years now, But I didn't have that breakthrough point until Tom tried an equation, which made my mind work.
@YarisSedan Weird time to tag you... But I've been really cooking with this thing along with the help of @ThomasRoderick. Check it out here
It's actually really cool and I wanna see others use it xD
@Noname918181818181818181 Good to know, because Im working on a plane literally having this as part of it's lore.
Besides, it's really exciting because I managed to give it a Fly by wire that might be revolutionary if enough people start to use it, which can be found here
@ShinyGemsBro XD
Here I am just sending out my love to the very cool story that this plane brought. I love the design on the thing too, arctic camos never get old.
Once again, like he said, for the record, I'm not making political statements either, I just think the plane and it's story is kinda cool.
@hpgbproductions @Noname918181818181818181
So here's an addition to this... Downscale a Microwave CIWS to the size of plane such that it's effective within a certain range. Likely using magnetrons that are extremely high power but short pulses to fry onboard tracking electronics once the missile is in a certain range. The points Noname made for the F-22's escape still stands, but with this, you're literally impossible to hit BVR because the missile is probably depending on the energy it built to reach you and likely will get fried by the microwave emitters before hitting you.
When I meant downscale it by the way, I mean take a microwave emitters meant for two miles of coverage and then make it effective for only 500ft of coverage, which to avoid getting hit is more than enough rangem
@hpgbproductions agreed. So what I'm getting here is there is some feasibility, but there's challenges. It still might necessary to use some stealth then... Unless it's a 4.5 gen.
@Noname918181818181818181 but then the F-22 doesn't commit to a second lock, it's lost its chance to finish a goal. If it's after me, it's not going to stop unless it has got me. It might defend, but it has to go offensive eventually. Having fired a missile, it gave a away a general direction, which is enough to start an engagement within visual range, provided your radar works.
@Noname918181818181818181 F-22, yes, but the F-35 actually does outdo the stealth of the F-22... Because... You can't hit it. F-22 itself is still, if you find it, though rare, it is dead. For an air superiority fighter, it does feel like the logical next step instead of making a more stealthy design. Once again for a bomber on interceptor, it makes sense
Again, I'm not trying to replace stealth... Therese still use cases for it, but an air superiority fighter focusing on jamming and confusing over cloaking does make more sense since the lower price.
@HuskyDynamics01 those don't matter. We're not using jamming,We're using projecting. Someone else somewhere else did point out that missiles know what the source is, though.
@Graingy
@hpgbproductions
@Noname918181818181818181
would love to hear your thoughts as well. Once again sorry for the random tagging (Mostly just tagged y'all because you all seem like people who are very smart and actually may take interest in ideas like these). Just thought there is a good argument to be made here.
@YarisSedan
@Sadboye12
@ThomasRoderick
Sorry for the random tags but... I really thought that it would be nice to hear the thoughts of you all on this.
This works for Sadboye's stuff as well. He likely already has an anti grav system in his universe among other things, now he might have a reason to justify the issues with how his designs aren't stealth focused
@YarisSedan oh my god.
@thomasRoderick
I've become an autism magnet.
(Me having autism myself is in contention. I show symptoms, but a lot of people disagree. That said, the symptoms for me are way tamer than the usual.)
@YarisSedan and also don't think some healthy caution is not a bad thing... Just don't let it get to your head, yeah? Remember that you get worried about these things in the first place TO TAKE CARE of yourself :>
@YarisSedan the fact that I didn't call you paranoid or didn't intend to suggest it does tell me that, yeah.
Once again, don't worry, if something like that does happen I'll be there to defend you.
@YarisSedan why not? It's not like there's people who wouldn't bother to see the context and call you a weirdo without any base and make it an issue, totally, thos people don't exist xD
About the kids. They are kids for a reason. Pat their head and move on... Maybe take a tiny hands punch or two.
@DrakonDynamics Agreed on that. It will perform quite the ways better than a Fulcrum though.
I called it the Quechal's Ghost for now, somewhat of a tribute to Ukrainian "Ghost of Kyiv"
@DrakonDynamics My only issue with this one is you're basically asking for 5-th gen. This is very hard to do if I want to do it right and realistic unless you have a some in-universe excuses to work with that can explain so realism redundancies like stealth prioritisation.
And would be nice to have insights on which country is known for what... Or if that is up to the player.
I'm personally going to try a 4.5 Gen, if it works, you'll se me submitting, if it doesn't.... too bad I'm out of the challenge without completing anything

+2What is this some sort of dedicated plane for you?
Cuz DANG they put some effort and then decided it t lovingly called it Darzerkk
@Overlord nice to see you here. This was one of the first few attempts at making that new code.
6 years with masterpiece after masterpiece? Holy. I'm glad you finally got there and I'm happy the challenge you made has got you some much needed recognition. Follow earnt!

@overlord5453 Yes. AoA and G's.

Yeah, fine tuning, basically.
+1@Grob0s0VBRa Gonna try that rn. Thx!
+1@overlord5453 Anytime. This is our love letter to the community in a way. It's given us a lot. I want to start giving back too... So does Tom.

@CrestelAeronautics :D
+1welcome to the club of realism in a non realism game
@hpgbproductions agreed
And yes. Once it's within range of hardkill, I don't think there is any point trying to Jam it anyway.
@ShinyGemsBro XD

@Noname918181818181818181 yeah. it's like a step above blowing millions on a saturated field, i.e, stealth
@hpgbproductions yeah, but flares and decoys already exist to counter honing meseeles
@hpgbproductions that's a pretty fair point as well.
But the honing missiles are still going to get confused by amplified waves anyway.
@overlord5453 precisely

@YarisSedan I just took it down lol.
+1I have an habit to take down forum posts after their initial impressions.
@YarisSedan With the way we have it here, it would actually be a practical bus, unironically
@kumoroha165 oki doki. Nice build either way! love the amount of work put into this
