Upvotes don't matter, they won't get you anywhere if that's what you always chase after. Even some white rank fresh out of account creation from bumfuck nowhere can make X build or Y build good enough and people WILL notice.
No one cares about what you build or how you make them as long as you don't break the community rules and you don't make anything universally offensive. This site is called SimplePlanes but a whole battleship is available for download.
You're doing nothing wrong unless you're stealing someone's work and claiming it as your own just for the hell of a skill issue, etc. So keep on trucking if you know and you checked that you aren't crossing the line.
