@Delphinus well, there goes my dreams of making the biggest plane ever on this site XD Still, I'll take the title for biggest one that can land somewhere. I tried making my plane bigger, but it kept coming up with errors.
@SteadfastContracting to be fair, most of your recent planes are quite big and not small nimble fighter jets, so while I'm inclined to agree, I can't say it's something that needs to be addressed. Maybe you should make another fighter jet for your next build?
@CALVIN232 I've started doing something similar. One of my recent uploads (can't remember which, but I think it was for a challenge) has air breaks positioned as you describe. I got it from the Mig-29s from when they close up their intakes to prevent FOD.

@KerlonceauxIndustries I just don't bother, I focus on the planes looks and performance, not the little details like that. Just my style of building.

Great design though as usual, slightly sluggish on the controls, but I imagine the weight contributes to that more than anything else. Overall, a great build!
@Stevoaviation Remember to credit the relevant parts and do not void the successor system. It's against the rules to do such things. And if caught three times, you may be banned.
@BaconEggs That's probably not the outcome you wanted, but I'm afraid it's not strictly against the rules to take parts off one plane and stick them on another. However, the successor system must not be voided, and credit should be given. If it happens again from this user, let me know and I'll take the relevant action.

If it wasn't against the rules, every other plane would have "Jelly, check this out" or "Jelly fighter".And for a website that's supposed to thrive off creativity, it doesn't half batter it regarding names. Also, a number of users find it annoying when they see every other plane as labelled for a youtuber.
@MasterMindIndustriesAndAviationCorporation try to refrain from discouraging new users, even if they spam. Just tag a mod and we'll take the relevant actions.
@TheBroadside I know. But if I was to remove this, I'd have to remove every plane that had something modded from someone else in order to make it fair. And that would be an impossible job lol XD

@Brields95 I recall something to do with features and something being removed from featured... not sure if it was me, but even if it was, and it was Ccoopers, it shouldn't have been on as features are typically for anyone up to silver rank. It's fairly rare to come across a gold feature, let alone a platinum one.
@TheBroadside the gun is just a scaled up Gatling gun. Assuming the user has fine tuner mod or a bit of XML know-how, it should be a fairly easy thing to make.
To be clear, I personally don't feel I've done anything inherently wrong, but I feel like I'm in a position where I have to respect another persons view, no matter how much I disagree with it.

In this instance I made my thoughts clear, and made it clear to said user that I wasn't happy with the accusations made against me because of the lack of evidence supporting them, but at the end of the day it was my word against theirs. I can't say the user was too happy about the outcome, but I feel the dispute may have rustled more feathers than I care to admit, thus I thought I should apologise for my harsh tones and my lack of respect for their opinion. I imagine others like him are in the same boat and may well feel the same way, hence the post.

@Himynameiswalrus @EternalDarkness I think you both missed the mark as to what I was getting across. Constructive criticism is good. But, please do enlighten me as to how stating something is "bad" or "not up to my expectations" is in anyway helpful. It simply isn't. There's no context, what about it is helpful? It's a blanket statement, it's like those people that dislike a youtube video but don't explain why they don't like it. Almost like they somehow think that announcing to the world that they don't like something without explaining why is going to make a difference.

I also pointed out that multiple people giving such criticisms can take it's toll. I imagine most users on this site would find it upsetting if they were constantly told there creations were bad without any reference as to why. Now taking into account I had to remove a number of posts regarding Ccooper in a very negative light, if the comments on his creations were anything like those then they were blatant hate speech.

Such forum posts obviously made it out to some users before they were removed as a surge in herd mentality occurred presumably regarding hate speech in the hours before Ccooper requested to have his account removed. Now considering that the Devs followed through with the request and introduced a account remove option, that suggests something fairly serious occurred to provoke such actions. I know one of the Devs spoke to me about the incident and agreed it was a shame people were hating on him.

But as an INTJ, I think you'll find I'm more than equipped to deal with such things. I should point out that I'm simply working with the evidence/facts presented to me, including facts you don't have access to. If you disagree fair enough, I'm not going to go out of my way to change your mind. Also, as someone that acquired a strike from a dev 6 days ago, your not one for challenging a moderators position.

Sure it's not flat out hating like in the examples you said, but it's not exactly kind either. Constructive criticism is along the lines of "it lacks speed" or "it's too nose heavy" and I'm not sure Ccooper was the kind of person to take that kind of thing to heart. I personally don't know him and neither of us can get into his head a experience what happened to him.

In the example you gave: "I don't like this, it doesn't fulfill my personal expectations" isn't constructive criticism. Stating an opinion like that adds no value to anything. The whole point of constructive criticism is that you can take something away from it and use it to improve on something else. Stating "I don't like it" is just a petty rude opinion that nobody wants to hear or read and "it doesn't fulfill my personal expectations" is another petty opinion that again adds no value to anything. So while it's criticism, it's not helpful and in large quantities when people are posting such things with a herd mentality, it can be quite hurtful and arguably it can also be bullying, so in my book, that's worthy of a ban.
@EternalDarkness Then they would have got a warning. At the end of the day hate speech of letting another player down is not tolerated on this site, as made clear by the rules: "If you are continually telling people their airplanes suck, then maybe you suck."

Hate speech is also an offence that will cause you to get banned immediately. Now the rules don't specify at what point constructive criticism becomes hate speech, but if it's causing a core user to consider leaving, then I'm willing to bet there's a bit of severity in the words used by said people.

Video isn't necessarily true, when Ccoopers account was deleted everything was deleted so I personally couldn't go back and ban people for that. However, that's probably what would happen if said users were caught!
