@PlanesOfOld because it follows all the rules of the tournament. sure its an ugly floating wing thing but there's nothing wrong with that. its not like you can't make planes that good in other ways.
I understand that its annoying that you can't nudge in mobile but that's just too bad. the devs will have to update mobile platforms to make that a thing that you can do. and that's all you can do. its going to stay. so stop complaining. the winning designs will take avdantage of all the games features.
@RaidenSquad my plane never flew against yours. and even then I checked your plane and it sucked. like just sucked. even for a plane with no nudging or camera placed engines it sucked.
@PlanesOfOld Tully2001's plane can be built with out nudging and infact i belive it wasn't built with nudging. and if the AI didn't derp HE'D HAVE WON WITH A PLANE THAT USED NO NUDGING. its not any thing you can't do with your planes with out it. just DEAL WITH IT. or you know grab a PC you don't need a high end PC to run it on steam.
@jamesPLANESii there is no modding in this plane. its simmply nuding and a few camera tricks for engine placement. the only reason this plane even won was because of derp AI. Tully2001 's plane would have won had the AI not crashed his plane when they raced this one. stop complaining like this is black magic and either learn to get around it becuase you can build planes that function as good as this one with no nudging. and deal with it.
@jamesPLANESii nudging doesn't give weight advantages. it gives drag advantages. and even then you don't need to nudge to make a propeller plane like one of these. go to my page and look at the P-58 needler on the featured section. that uses NO nudging. only a simple camera trick that any one can do. and it almost won the trench run tournament.
@Futurepilot1701 that's how you build functional planes for these things. its abou reducing weight and drag. not to mention you don't even need the nudge tool to build a plane like that. just look at my plane the P-58 needler on my front page. that uses no nudging.
@Tully2001 I still have a lot on this plane to improve any how. the engine segment is kinda in-efficient. many of the engiens are mounted on peices that are larger than they need to be making more weight. and the overall structure has a lot more drag than it could.
@Tully2001 yea. you finished 1:43 I finished 1:46. close but I didn't really have a chance in the first place. unless the AI derped your plane into the ground.
@Alienbeef0421 yea over speed glitch. because propellers are suppose to top out at like 750-760mph... It must be because you're on phone. I do know that there is a glitch with very large wings that cause them to generate thrust. that must be what you're experiencing. since you're on a phone wings glitch out much faster for you than they would a normal PC or something. so they start flapping (glitching) and generating thrust.
@bspboy that's an awful lot of extra weight then.... I had thought you redid the entire section... you sort of just offset your drag advantage with extra weight.
great now I'm gonna lose. I still have the old style and a lot more drag on it. and I don't know how to rebuild it on my own. well good luck. and what time does it get now?
@Alienbeef0421 no I mean a type of XML modding where you take a normal wing. and make it unbreakable like structural wings. structural wings won't flex and break off under aerodynamic stresses. normal wings will. it is legal to do this basic XML edit to a plane to trans form a normal wing into a structural one but it will have control surfaces.
@TheChosenZebra most people treat the tournament as a race as it is. not a beauty contest. and that's fine. I find it a way to help people learn self improvement and plane mechanics.
@TheChosenZebra I try to build to improve my building. I'm not good at style but I try to do it in the other aspect of function. and I will be proud of my self once I get a win on one of these tournaments.
@Tully2001 yea I know it probably does. even on my best P-58 which is the other contender. the finish times are the same. the only issue with this one is mostly drag and weight problems. due to how in-efficient the engine segment was setup. lot of extra weight in internal parts for attachment. and drag caused by external parts.
@Tully2001 actually. it does add extra performence. so far it has highest top speed out of all my planes. and infact I've been working on different versions (because I've just been tweaking to get the best time I can before the tournament starts) which have another engine segment on the back. even more speed. the only problem now is I"m strating to have manuverability problems with that extra segment.
@Anony I didn't. I don't know how to do this with T3000s. I just ripped a subasembly off another plane for use here. I nkow how to do this with T1000s but not 3000s.
@PlanesOfOld all good designs prop or unlimited. use nudging in one form or another. you'd make more people mad by taking it away than happy
@PlanesOfOld because it follows all the rules of the tournament. sure its an ugly floating wing thing but there's nothing wrong with that. its not like you can't make planes that good in other ways.

@PlanesOfOld also side note. its a tournament. not a fashion show.
@Johndfg ell no AI was the problem. it was the AI that caused the crash both times because it happened right at a ring.
@jamesPLANESii there is no modding in this plane. its simmply nuding and a few camera tricks for engine placement. the only reason this plane even won was because of derp AI. @crxtsp you realize the 3D print for winning was a 1 time thing. and you picked what plane you wanted for it. not the winning plane got it.

@Tully2001 yea. you finished 1:43 I finished 1:46. close but I didn't really have a chance in the first place. unless the AI derped your plane into the ground.
@tomtaj123 it will be considered a successes of a default plane in game which happens to also be on the site and it will register as such.
@tomtaj123 nope.
@mrniceguy you have 2 days left to enter a plane.why rush?
@Quintasoarus pretty sure people have already said about 1:43 times. that said. I'm just sticking to my 1:45 plane.
@Tonythekid if the AI cant use your plane then you need to edit it.
build to how the AI likes to fly. not how you like to fly.
@Alienbeef0421 post them elswere (imgur or what ever) and give links is how.
@Alienbeef0421 sure.
@Alienbeef0421 yea over speed glitch. because propellers are suppose to top out at like 750-760mph... It must be because you're on phone. @Alienbeef0421 it glitches? how? I've tested it like 500 times now (with like 500 different wing configurations) and it hasn't exploded once. :/
@Alienbeef0421 this is the one I'm entering lol :3
@Alienbeef0421 lol that's not even the one I'm entering. I've got a faster one.
@bspboy yea for future tournaments you'll have to redo. but this is good for now.
@bspboy that's an awful lot of extra weight then.... I had thought you redid the entire section... you sort of just offset your drag advantage with extra weight.
great now I'm gonna lose. I still have the old style and a lot more drag on it. and I don't know how to rebuild it on my own. well good luck. and what time does it get now?
hardly an A-10 if its engines are located there.
your cock pit is sticking out some what. other wise the only way to reduce drag would be to rebuild your engine segments to be more efficient.
@DogeMaster14 that was a one time thing because that was a new feature for the game and such.
@Quintasoarus In order to shave as much time as you can. you have to perfect the fuel load. or you'll be heavier than you need :P
@DogeMaster14 and bragging rights
@DogeMaster14 useless internet points :U
@EnderWiggin any modification yes. EXCEPT making wings structural with control surfaces.
@Supermini555 well no. you're allowed to have structeral wings with control surfaces. that much IS allowed. @Alienbeef0421
I think you forgot to hit mirror one last time before you uploaded. those front elevators aren't even :P
@EnderWiggin XML part scaling and modded rotators will do that as well.
very nice. well built. looks great. great work.
@bspboy yea but its not that bad honestly. it works. its just not the most weight and aerodynamically efficient. I'd make my own but I don't know how.
@Quintasoarus well no some people have started hitting times lower than that. but for the most part yea that's what its going to be.
755 on a single engine? wow and how?
@TheChosenZebra most people treat the tournament as a race as it is. not a beauty contest. and that's fine. I find it a way to help people learn self improvement and plane mechanics.
@TheChosenZebra I try to build to improve my building. I'm not good at style but I try to do it in the other aspect of function. and I will be proud of my self once I get a win on one of these tournaments.
@Amiller822 it has enough fuel to finish the race. only needs 1:45 of fuel :P
My current time (that I will probably not be able to shave any more off of) is 1:45
@Tully2001 yea I know it probably does. even on my best P-58 which is the other contender. the finish times are the same. the only issue with this one is mostly drag and weight problems. due to how in-efficient the engine segment was setup. lot of extra weight in internal parts for attachment. and drag caused by external parts.

@bspboy its your prop setup do what you want with it :P
@bspboy I've already finely tuned this. infact i'm about to get a versian that hits 1:56 with mroe reliability than My P-58-G I was giong to use.
@Anony I didn't. I don't know how to do this with T3000s. I just ripped a subasembly off another plane for use here. I nkow how to do this with T1000s but not 3000s.
