@Shmexysmpilot they don't have THAT much less power. all my creations still fly with race speed. they just don't fly at like 1600mph like the minimalist MK:2 does.

  • J-78 Explorer 8.8 years ago

@Shmexysmpilot about 10k more than the old most powerfull engine. that said. all engines seem a whole lot less powerfull than they used to so this thing on this build goes just a bit slower than my normal racing planes.

  • Flyweight - Oceanview Speedway 8.8 years ago

@StraightOuttaSnacks you shouldn't feel bad. it was a bit of RNG luck that comes with these things. I'm just kinda sick of the AI derping ou t and causing me to lose certian races I shouldn't.

  • Flyweight - Oceanview Speedway 8.8 years ago

of course the AI would fail me. I goes through 2 rounds with out crashing and then the third one it crashes twice. Jundroo pls make AI better :U

  • Flyweight - Oceanview Speedway 8.8 years ago

@f1racing6 no you can't. that's the steam beta. not to mention a lot of engines were nerfed in that update any how so you wouldn't want to just yet any ways.

  • Flyweight - Oceanview Speedway 8.8 years ago

@Tully2001 well that explains a little bit my power to weight is only 6.6

  • Just simple planes things. 8.8 years ago

    @Thefalloutplayr thanks

  • Flyweight - Oceanview Speedway 8.8 years ago

@Mattyfatty1998 a good time is 1 minute and below. for some one of a lower skill level try for a minute and a half.

  • Hybrid 8.8 years ago

wing load is too high. there's no point to the propeller engines with the jets there. and you have way too many intakes.

  • Flyweight - Oceanview Speedway 8.8 years ago

@Mattyfatty1998 right underneath "build and fly" there is "race against opponents" pick your plane. pick this track. check in the AI controls box so AI controls your plane. and there you go you are now testing your plane.

  • Flyweight - Oceanview Speedway 8.8 years ago

@Tully2001 Ok really can you tell me something. any thing on how your'e getting such a fast time on your plane?

  • Flyweight - Oceanview Speedway 8.8 years ago

@Kondicykel because they're testing the planes in game. on the courses that are also in game :/

  • Flyweight - Oceanview Speedway 8.8 years ago

@SpiritusRaptor then go for the 1 minute one. (still don't undrestand how you're getting such a low time even if it is less conistant)

  • Flyweight - Oceanview Speedway 8.8 years ago

@SpiritusRaptor depends how slow your consistent one is. and how consistent your fast one is.

  • Flyweight - Oceanview Speedway 8.8 years ago

@Tully2001 that still doesn't help me that much :/

  • Flyweight - Oceanview Speedway 8.8 years ago

@MagicShadow101 no what I"m saying is they should all be symmetrical. none of the other 2 options. ALL OF THEM. it makes the plane fly the most straight.

  • Flyweight - Oceanview Speedway 8.8 years ago

@Tully2001 Ok how did you manage to get your time that low? I've essentially maximized my efficiency with my design and I can't get it to get any better of a time. minimum drag. maximum engines while having enough control surfaces to make the course.

  • Flyweight - Oceanview Speedway 8.8 years ago

@MagicShadow101 like i said if you know how to build a plane for the most part. the AI will do that correction roll long before it gets there. only occasionally turning into the ground. are you setting all your wings to the symmetrical setting or do you ahve them on like flat bottom or semi symmetric?

  • Flyweight - Oceanview Speedway 8.8 years ago

@MagicShadow101 if you know how to make a plane ftmp that ring will only crash you once in a while when the AI derps.

  • Flyweight - Oceanview Speedway 8.8 years ago

@Tully2001 well You've beaten me then. if you're sub 56 seconds I got no chance :P

  • Flyweight - Oceanview Speedway 8.8 years ago

@WillB88 uh you don't have to download unity. all you have to do is just open the save file of what ever plane in like word or something and change a couple values around.

  • Flyweight - Oceanview Speedway 8.8 years ago

@aircraftarsenal123 so very unreliable but has potental to just beat every thing?

  • Flyweight - Oceanview Speedway 8.8 years ago

@bspboy that's pretty good. you still need to get better however.

  • Flyweight - Oceanview Speedway 8.8 years ago

@Geekpride use a converter or something its not that hard to figure out.

  • Flyweight - Oceanview Speedway 8.8 years ago

Despite the past few days of trying I really have just hit the limit on how fast I can do this course.

  • Flyweight - Oceanview Speedway 8.8 years ago

@mightyscab I just checked it and you're still not using the structural piece I talked about. you're wasting a lot of potential parts you could be using on like 3 large engines. do what you want But I"m just trying to help.

  • Flyweight - Oceanview Speedway 8.8 years ago

@Baldovino its not as hard as you think. just keep a thin body with all the engines inside each other. enough inlets for them. and enough wing space to have a low wing load.

  • Flyweight - Oceanview Speedway 8.8 years ago

@mightyscab no its not modding. at the bottom of the structural tab. there are fuel tanks. that you can modify the shape of in game. and aside that. the only way you can mod the fuel tanks is by how much fuel is in them. aside that. like i said. wing load is a problem with your designs. use the costom fuel tank. make it large and you have plenty of space to add large wings to make your wing load go down.

  • Flyweight - Oceanview Speedway 8.8 years ago

@Baldovino True but some people still haven't figured it out yet :U

  • Flyweight - Oceanview Speedway 8.8 years ago

@Baldovino how did you get a plane that fast with only 17 parts?

  • Flyweight - Oceanview Speedway 8.8 years ago

@mightyscab well I can already see why you are. you're not using the costom fuel tanks for all your structural building. your wing load is way to high (not enough wing area. make bigger or more wings) and you're buiding planes with too much drag. try to make the more streamline.

  • Flyweight - Oceanview Speedway 8.8 years ago

@Baldovino what's wrong with a 3 minute limit? There are a lot of people out there who don't know how to build all that good and its at least letting them finish the race if they even can. there's plenty of people who are good that will end races in a minute.

  • Flyweight - Oceanview Speedway 8.8 years ago

@BaconAircrafts I don't really know what to say you've seem to have already got every thing you need to know down. the only thing I can tell you is simplify. and nudge a few engines inside each other.

  • Flyweight - Oceanview Speedway 8.8 years ago

@Geekpride here's a tip. lower your wing load as much as possible. while having 3-4 of the largest turbofan engines nudged inside eachother. and you can win.

  • J-76 The Minimalist 8.8 years ago

@Baldovino except this isn't the one I'm using in the tournament ;3

  • Flyweight - Oceanview Speedway 8.8 years ago

I've pushed my limit as far as its going to go. so lets see how my plane does in a few days.

  • Flyweight - Oceanview Speedway 8.8 years ago

@InterStellarENT more power less drag 1 landing gear leg. that's what you should strive for.

  • Flyweight - Oceanview Speedway 8.8 years ago

@Tully2001 why not? its a nice challenge. its unlimited except a nice part limit challenge.

  • Flyweight - Oceanview Speedway 8.8 years ago

@MagicShadow101 And I'm currently working on trying to get a time of under 1:00 with no missed rings.

  • Flyweight - Oceanview Speedway 8.8 years ago

@WillB88 well you can fix this by having XML modded wings. I"m assuming you don't know how to do that however.

  • Flyweight - Oceanview Speedway 8.8 years ago

@WillB88 well I can say one thing so far. your wings are way to small.

  • Flyweight - Oceanview Speedway 8.8 years ago

@Baldovino I have no idea what you just said.

  • Flyweight - Oceanview Speedway 8.8 years ago

@Tully2001 well good luck to ya

  • Flyweight - Oceanview Speedway 8.8 years ago

@Baldovino well when you only have a 17 part limit you can't afford a vtol engine for that start.

  • Flyweight - Oceanview Speedway 8.8 years ago

@Tully2001 I wasn't expecting any one else to get a time like that so looks like I have some design updating to do.

  • Flyweight - Oceanview Speedway 8.8 years ago

@Tully2001 well then... looks like we're tied then....

  • Flyweight - Oceanview Speedway 8.8 years ago

@mixhaelr no it doesn't. they're 2 completely different things. one's a thing where you have to go into the files to change stuff. the other's a thing you can do in game as a mechanic to help you build better.

  • Flyweight - Oceanview Speedway 8.8 years ago

@bspboy I'm not going to state my time. I"m not stetting a bench mark to beat. however you can test my first attempt at a plane that is currently listed.

  • Flyweight - Oceanview Speedway 8.8 years ago

@JovianPat YES. IT IS. nudgign is a game mechanic. use it.

  • Flyweight - Oceanview Speedway 8.8 years ago

@MrVaultech really? I think I've already won this tournament :3
