@PlanesOfOld oh that's why. you have very big pitch surfaces and your wing load is incredably low. you'd only idealy want a wing load of a little over 20 pounds per foot. you could also use larger rudders for stability and probably a second engine on the front for more power.
@PlanesOfOld then you need to make your plane more manuverable. easiest way to do this? reduce wing load. BY ADDING MORE WING :D. just double up all your horizontally based wings or make your wings bigger in genneral try that out and tell me your results.
@bspboy actually the reason your plane "twerks" (or bobs up and down) is because your control surfaces are too big. now if you need them that large to maneuver enough then you don't have a low enough wing load. to fix this. add more wing area. either by making bigger wings or doubling up all your horizontal based wings.
why are you letting voting happen already? why not just do trench run prop class to finish off all the maps? we've only had 1 prop class and might as well do all the maps first before voting. (except eagle pass since you don't want to do that)
@Viper28 well again you some what do. because th AI handles it a lot differently at high altitude. and you start to suffer from problems where at high altitude your control surfaces need to be bigger yet at low altitude (where the race ends) that hinders you.
@Viper28 uh no you're quite wrong with that. you do need to do testing. because unlike the other races you get up to quite a high altitude. high to the point it heavily affects how planes are handling.
@bspboy that but you need a system (vtol or prop setup) that gets you an early start. because you start out nearly dead stalled at a 90 degree angle upwards.
@GrumpyRacing Well it is I mean I can get a good non moded plane to do it. but as soon as I try to put a modded engine the AI just can't keep up with the speed and turns.
@Jackie Depends how many it takes to get you to 1500 in a second or 2 with out really trying. I actually just took it out of the plane that won the Ocienview speedway tournament get it off that.
@Jackie We all have our ways of testing power. Just remember you wont be able to test different types of engines. because they don't all spool up at the same rate.
@Jackie How about this. download this egine save the egnine in a sub assembly for your own use. download my engine power testing plane. and use that on a runway to test the engine. just put the engine on the back. let it rev up to speed (that takes like 30 seconds to do for full power) and then press 1 and see how fast you end up going by time you reach the end of the runway.
@Jackie I don't know the exact numbers but considering how you're going way over 2k on a single engine at low altitude and like 5-7k at high. I'd say pretty powerfull. so powerfull that Its very rare for non structeral wings to not be torn off at low altitude with out structural support if you go straight.
I was hoping this wouldn't be a mod tournament but when starting to build a plane with modded parts I kinda quickly realized how hard this course actually is with those kinds of engines.
@BRuthless no you don't. you lock onto people and then activate the groups. group up 3 groups of 3 missiles. lock on to ship A. hit group 1. hurry and click ship B lock on and hit group B. have 2 of the large bombs. hit the carrier with them and win. My most recent Hornet MK:3 can do it in one run.
@BRuthless that's why you use activation groups. you fire 3 rockets at once. then 3 at the other as soon as you get the second lock (which you have to click to change target) and then you just drop the bombs. it requires a bit of reflexes :P
It's much easier than that. shove 6 ground target missiles and 2 of the larger bombs. use some activation groups and fast target switching and you can do it in one run.
I must say. the Lunar Arc was qutie a unique challenge. very different from the other races. i've alredy got a plane that beats it with a fast time. but still. very interesting challenge. I only got lucky with that one plane. really challenges the player in an interesting way.
My I ask what the point of this was? how did you make this any better by adding this crap to it and further more why are you trying to submit something you didn't make from scratch to a youtuber?
Oh... my... god.... how? like congrats but how? how did this plane win? I'm more confused than any thing? did the AI really give you that much luck? well congrats any ways.
Ok You've won this tournament. I've done so much testing. and your plane rarely crashes. on top of that. I can't come close to beating it with any thing. you've got a winning design right here.
@PlanesOfOld Pretty much yea. if you go too low you kinda go below the thresh hold of high performance into very unstable.

Modified one of my great racing planes. hoping to see it go far in this.
@PlanesOfOld why not?
wow that looks great. good job.
why are you letting voting happen already? why not just do trench run prop class to finish off all the maps? we've only had 1 prop class and might as well do all the maps first before voting. (except eagle pass since you don't want to do that)
@Tully2001 not always
@Tully2001 yea but I have fun seeing my planes go far in the tournament.
@Tully2001 to put it simply. if you're not using any modded engines. you're not going to win.
Honestly I really wish this wasn't a mod tournament. I had a great non modded plane for this.
@TheRubyArmy1134 very old. if you check my builds you've seen I figured it out for the most part.
@Viper28 well again you some what do. because th AI handles it a lot differently at high altitude. and you start to suffer from problems where at high altitude your control surfaces need to be bigger yet at low altitude (where the race ends) that hinders you.

FINALY :D
@bspboy that but you need a system (vtol or prop setup) that gets you an early start. because you start out nearly dead stalled at a 90 degree angle upwards.
@Redlord why are you asking me? I have it up for download just do it :U
@GrumpyRacing Well it is I mean I can get a good non moded plane to do it. but as soon as I try to put a modded engine the AI just can't keep up with the speed and turns.
I literally just can't get any thing modded to get through this course with a modded engine.
@Jackie Depends how many it takes to get you to 1500 in a second or 2 with out really trying. I actually just took it out of the plane that won the Ocienview speedway tournament get it off that.
@Jackie I have a modded VTOL engine. It's not as strong as this engine but its really damn strong.
@Jackie well that's what happens with any engine test like yours. one will gain power but then once the counter force gets stronger it slows down.
@Jackie We all have our ways of testing power. Just remember you wont be able to test different types of engines. because they don't all spool up at the same rate.

I can't get any thing modded to go around this track so I"m going ot just put my best jet in it and hope for the best with consistency.
@ShatteredAviation mine's stronger
@AgDynamics well not entirely. I mean the last mod class was on a very easy to manuver map. this is typhoon circut with a lot of hard turns.
@BRuthless well I've been using a modded turbofan. actually like 1-3 of those ones. so there may be a huge difference in speed between us.
@BRuthless Less engines and less engine power means slower plane. which means faster AI reaction time. even at 1 modded engine. its just too fast.
@BRuthless I doub t any one is going to do it with a modded plane. even with modded wings you can't get around those turns with only 1 engine.
@BRuthless I run this on steam and I can't find the saved plane files.
@BRuthless except I don't know how to do that.
@BRuthless Unless I get a modded one who's wings don't tear off at speed I'm going in this with a non modded plane :P
@BRuthless I've done it doing minimal manuvers. never got fully locked on by missiles. in my A-1 Hornet.
I was hoping this wouldn't be a mod tournament but when starting to build a plane with modded parts I kinda quickly realized how hard this course actually is with those kinds of engines.

When will the next tournament be up? I'd like to prepare :3

@Destroyer5713 if the engines are modded you'd only need one.
You really don't need any where close to that many engiens to go that fast :/
My I ask what the point of this was? how did you make this any better by adding this crap to it and further more why are you trying to submit something you didn't make from scratch to a youtuber?
Oh... my... god.... how? like congrats but how? how did this plane win? I'm more confused than any thing? did the AI really give you that much luck? well congrats any ways.
Sucks that you're going up against one of the fastest planes I've seen entered in this tournament :P
Ok You've won this tournament. I've done so much testing. and your plane rarely crashes. on top of that. I can't come close to beating it with any thing. you've got a winning design right here.
@Pauciloquent I gave it 4 tests. it didn't crash once. I'm pretty sure you're going to win if not at least make it to the finals.
4 races. not one crash. completely out classing my J-66. finished about 2.5 miles ahead every time. I think you've won this tournament.
