@Someterribleuser I like the creativity of the idea, but I definitely don't think that should be a thing. 1. You should not rush new players 2. You should not incite them to grind for points 3. You should not put deadlines in games like this 4. There would still be many bronze + inactive users
@Horsepower No harm done. Pointing out flaws is just as important as pointing the good things. Thank you for the support and the recognition. I get your point about the point system, and I must recognize that it's really not a priority, just something worth thinking about. Really I'm not directly trying to incite change here, but just get people thinking.
@Horsepower I get that. I was not trying to approach this as a know it all. Sorry if I made that impression. I'm also aware that these are known problems, I just feel like they are not really being addressed enough, but that's my opinion. I also do agree that my ideal here is a unrealistic utopia of SimplePlanes, but trying to get closer to it is better than nothing.
For the point system, I would not necessarily call it a problem, nor was I aware if a recent rise in drama in its regard. I just felt like this was a sort of thing going on, that really happens beyond SimplePlanes and on a lot of website now, and that it sort of ruins parts of the games at time.
I agree that the problem does not completely lie in the toxic people, but I would not say that they are exempt from causing a problem. Those who easily get offended are essentially throwing fuel into the fire, thus that in some ways makes them part of the problem, but the random toxicity is what starts the fire. I would say that the problem is equally between the toxic people and those responding to them. Again, this is my opinion. And yes, those who respond to toxicity are indeed usually bad at listening. Will definitely not contest that.
I was not trying to make a big deal out of this stuff (and as I re-read it, I realize I kind of did...), I just felt like looking into these problems as a way to start looking for solutions, even if these are not priority problems.
@WarHawk95 Je viens de voir ton commentaire sur la toxicite des commentaire d'SP sur le post de l'autre qui se fout de la geule de ce qui quitte SP. Ceci te parleras surement.
@ParziParziTheVal Gotcha. Sorry for the misunderstanding. That's indeed a good idea. I don't think that this would be quite in the priority list of Jundroo's development, but if they ever need suggestions, this idea could be worth mentioning.
Thank you. It is indeed hard to find a fix for the upvote system. It has its psychological benefits as well as its harm. Maybe having more point colors with smaller gaps will remove the idea of stretching towards gold or platinum, thus partially fixing the issues... or it could worsen it might causing people to pay more attention to their points... hard to tell.
A large portion of users have indeed left SP, but I don't really think that their accounts should be removed. For example, I took a very long brake from SP, and I'm back, which might be the case for some people. I do see though why you would think this. Having a user list only containing active users could have its benefits. I just don't feel like inactive accounts are much of a hinderance, apart from flooding the user list, which the active user list would fix. But that's my opinion. I don't know if maintaining accounts has much of a financial burden in terms of servers for Jundroo, I would not expect it to. I just don't feel like it's a cool idea to delete accounts without informing users ahead of time. They could have a system that has a notification and a set amount of time to come back to prevent removal, similar to Google's inactivity system. Still an interesting idea. @ParziParziTheVal
@Nerfaddict I'm really sorry to hear that. I've got a bit of experience with that myself. I've moved between states and countries more time than I can count, each time having to start over, and I've had a share of that kind of friend. I know that this is easier said than done, and I don't know enough about your situation to be able to make much of it, but in my experience, 1 or 2 good friends is worth 10 times more then 20 bad "jock boy" friends. The issue of course can be to find that good friend. I wish you luck in that, and I'm here as a friend, even if we don't really know each other, and thus I can't be like a true real life friend,
If this is still unresolved, have you tried contacting a dev yet? Not only can they maybe help you, but they could also learn about a new bug or technical mess up.
@Nerfaddict I'm sorry to hear that you were sent down this path. I myself also tend to search for solitude and find that it is not great, but unlike you it seems, I've never gotten to the extreme. It's completely normal for people to accidently burry themselves down the rabbit hole, it's part of being human. The important thing is to be able to climb back out once you realize it. This often involves having someone else or others give you a hand back up. I find it funny that they dare mock you for not playing Fortnite (not haha funny), cause essentially what they are saying is, "you're playing a game that actually requires some critical thinking, has a lot of originality, and is actually quite educative and shows intelligence and creativity, and unlike us, you are not a sheep that has followed the herd into this game where all you do is aim a gun at another player and shoot, and that really is just a repetitive game without any real gain or critical thinking." I would not say that this curse of yours is irreversible at all. You just need to find a new group of people who will be real friends and won't judge you and leave you behind for no reason. Of course, this is to a limited extend on a website like SP, but you are not indefinitely alone. If you ever need SP help, or simply someone to talk to, count me in. I've also lost a lot of SP friends over the time, and I at least partially understand what you are going through with this.
Interesting. I was not aware of that. I'm sure that the automation of this mod-log would make it easier and more reliable however. But I am not a moderator, so I wouldn't know. It's nice that you consult other mods before acting. @Blue0Bull
Huh... That's neat. Is there any where I could learn more about how to apply it? From my understanding, it's basically a sub-mechanism of XML modding, right? @Aldriech
@WolfSpark Thanks for the feedback, but what exactly is FT? Funky Tree? Sorry, just got back to the game from a long pause and I'm still catching up to new stuff.
@tsampoy I did land on it and hit restart here (which is what makes it glitch) but unfortunately I did not ride it. I just restarted in the air and the boat was teleported to the right...
Personally, I started off putting regular wings and then adding the fuselage wings over it with 0 air friction. The fuselage was simple design while the wings inside where the true wings (in terms of physics). Hope this somehow helps.
Indeed it does... How have you been? I've been extremely inactive recently. @Rodrigo110
Nice. Well done. Looks awesome. @Nerfaddict
@Nerfaddict Interesting. I did not know that. I'll try that out eventually.
I should have trade-marked Maelstrom. (JK, I know this has nothing to do with my stuff)
Good job on the build. Looks really nice.
Wait, this might be a stupid question but how did you get 5 screenshots?
Looks awesome. @Nerfaddict
I am a mod maker. Have they made it on unity already?
Thank you for removing the curse... @KnightOfRen

@ParziParziTheVal Cool. I've seen Ready Player One (wish I could say I read it... might read it if I find the time).
@ParziParziTheVal Ah. Now I get why this is personal for you.
@Horsepower No harm done. Pointing out flaws is just as important as pointing the good things. Thank you for the support and the recognition. I used concrete details. ;-) @EternalDarkness

@WarHawk95 Pour être honnête, c'est pareil pour moi. Je ne suis pas obsédé avec les points, mais je les ignore pas non plus.
@exosuit That could be true I suppose. But when I initially started playing a few years ago, it was not this bad. @exosuit
@WarHawk95 Cool. Qu'en penses-tu?
@WarHawk95 Pas de souci.
I know I'm late here, but this is quite underrated TBH.
I was unaware to what extend until Blue0Bull told me earlier in the comments. @Numbers
@exosuit I agree, I would just say that this has become much more noticeable and has worsened, even if the problem has always existed.
@WarHawk95 Je viens de voir ton commentaire sur la toxicite des commentaire d'SP sur le post de l'autre qui se fout de la geule de ce qui quitte SP. Ceci te parleras surement.
@ParziParziTheVal No Problem.

@BuiltBionixInd10 I get that. Kinda same here TBH...
@Nerfaddict I'm not really blaming it on them, but they might still have an idea of what it's all about, even if it's not on their end.
If this is still unresolved, have you tried contacting a dev yet? Not only can they maybe help you, but they could also learn about a new bug or technical mess up.

Nice to see you too. @Rodrigo110
I'm afraid that if it's irl, an SP post can't do anything for you. In reality, mods have unlimited power on this Earth. @Belugasub
Your flame just went out...
@banbantheman I see what you mean by that. I'll experiment with that. Thanks for the suggestion. @banbantheman
It does look similar... & better... Good job. @Kerbango
Thank you very much. @Aldriech

@BlackhattAircrafts
Lol @BlackhattAircraft
Lol @Highground
Nice. It's still going to be Maelström designing planes BTW, just not an RP nation. @Son This is Bman BTW right?
Wow, that's amazing. @Kerbango
@tsampoy I did land on it and hit restart here (which is what makes it glitch) but unfortunately I did not ride it. I just restarted in the air and the boat was teleported to the right...
