@Fjorge With sea level I mean just above the sea (0-2000 ft). As you go higher drag reduces and so higher speeds are obtainable. I always measure speed at a low altitude for comparison.
@SHCow Hey I didn't even know that. Thanks for stating, I never went farther than 70% while testing. It seems to become a little unreliable at 100% though especially when enduring great forces.
Your materials suggestion is very good, especially tournaments will be a whole lot different with people having to keep structural strength in mind aswell.
However the helicopter physics are already in the game, you can edit prop diameter using the Overload mod. If you don't have access to that, simpleplanes physics allow for propellers to be made out of wings. So if you have a way of powering such a propeller you could make a helicopter. For ideas you can look at my builds.
@Typhlosion130 Last time I even tried to win a tournament was the first Indy air race prop class tournament. But in bracket 6 I matched up with some weird hypnoplane and lost. Nowadays I just enter something cool or good looking just for fun.
We already got helicopter propellers rite? just edit the diameter of the blades using XML. If thats not what you're looking for, I've also made some custom helicopter engines that have blades on them that you can use.
@AudioDud3 Np
@MethaManAircraft Thank u
@PointlessWhyshouldi That's what they're made for :)
@PointlessWhyshouldi Sure
@AudioDud3
@Tully2001
Thanks
@Fjorge Its a term for airspeed notifications. Just look it up it means the altitude at which the air density is the same as just above the sea..

rest in peace your hopes and dreams.
Really cool
@AudioDud3 Lots of trial and error

)))))
@saturn28 Thanks
@Mumpsy Thanks.
Cool!
Finally someone made it! My favourite aircraft in real life.
This is really freaking good. Have an upvote + spotlight.
@MethaManAircraft Not really clear. As far as I know they're powered by the torque generated from the wheels that are being blocked.
@Liquidfox Thanks! New variants will come with time. I need to do some more research first.
@Fjorge Sure
@Fjorge :) Thanks
Copy the link of the aircraft and then press CTRL + L when in the designer
@Mumpsy Np
I love your planes, simple yet so great to fly/see.
@FlyingThings Thanks.
@Fjorge Yep, it looks kinda strange. It only happens to me on startup though, and doesnt seem to mess with the functionality.
@Miniplanes Good luck. That's the hard part, overcoming that would be quite a breakthrough.
@Fjorge Yeah more pistons is a good idea, the pistons tend to glitch when going faster though.
@Fjorge Thanks, yeah I'm aware of that, it probably doesnt have enough momentum.
Really nice build. Something that can dogfight my VA-19

Great plane
Canadair CL-215
@Alienbeef0421 Oh wow. Well my build didn't stand a chance anyway

@SuperSanic Yup haha
@Typhlosion130 Ikr, I built something special for this though.
@Bill0411 Thanks, I'll give that a try in my next project.

@Testin123 Jeez
@FlyingThings Thanks bro
@Kevinairlines Thanks x2
@Kevinairlines Thanks
Really nice build once again
@Athaya
@FlyingThings
Thanks
@AstleyIndustries I found it out by accident.. it really doesnt make sense but somehow it works ._.
@FlyingThings I was too :P
@MrSilverWolf Thanks :)
@JMicah4 I can build a silent version, it will have lots of torque though
