Otherwise, if you want a low poly terrain, in Unity set the Terrain Heightmap res to the lowest, find a random HD(Important for it to be about 4K-64K Res, and set it as a texture. Then scale the texture the way you see fit before playing with the terrain.
LOD's are a bit difficult to explain, I'll talk about that tomorrow.
And roads I'll talk about tomorrow as well. :D
@F104Deathtrap I pretty much a walking talking mod history book, the only major gameplay changes mods so far have been the gravity mod and all the custom parts.
Otherwise, it is possible to try and replicate the islands and import them as a plugin. :/
@DemonSniper8 Because it's all terrain object. The SP map is the same. It's only when you drive on stuff like bridges or other 3d mobels that it acts like a road.
@EliteArsenals24 I'm kidding, it's using an external program called Reshade.me.
It is still gameplay, it basically just adds extra post processing filters to it, e.g. bloom, lens flare, god rays and other neato features.
@Hawkeye156 oh ho ho, you're gonna be surprised by my next project. The only spoilers I'm gonna release for the moment are, it's huge, it's sandy, and it's extremely detailed. ;)
