lovely plane! one thing you could try is offsetting fuselage pieces in the Z axis, so there is a tiny gap between them (they will stay connected). This has the effect of fuselage panneling, greatly increasing the detail with no extra parts.
In the earlier versions, it would load in and spontaneously combust in the wings, so I disabled the wing aircraft collisions... With no effect. I might have disabled wing physics instead!
I'm checking out the post now
@Mustang51 there are no modded wings for this build? I have a wing mod installed but I didn't use any of the wings from it, and I deactivated the mod when I had problems flying the plane... I don't think I am?
@Mustang51 would be great to have as a last resort, so post and tag (I'll tag you when I publish it if I use your version) but I will try to fix it myself using your advice first, so I can learn for when I make a different plane. As said, it's not finished yet so I would need to do more on it anyway. If you post it, I might download it and see what you've done to try and understand what changes you have made and why you have made the changes, but I will probably still try solve it for myself. Thanks so much!
@Mustang51 soooo I removed the engines (bar the 2 at the back, which I set to 0 thrust) and managed to get the weight down to 100,000lbs without overload... No real change when I then did glide tests. The CoM has to be below the CoL on this aircraft or the performance tanks even more, and I had to add another engine closer to the CoM because I didn't want to have to angle the rear engines at 45°. All unnecessary engines have either been set to 0 thrust or removed, depending on whether I'm using the exhaust or not. I will keep looking at lift, I think the wing loading is too high, so thanks for raising the issue of weight!
one thing i would say: the 109g6 could be outfitted with a 30mm autocannon too, and can also be fitted with cannon pods x2 consisting of 30mm or 20mm cannons
and in addition, i am using a laptop now so should be able to easier reach 200 without the game crashing. yes, my phone was that bad, but i should now be able to add detail.
soooooooooooo a while ago this happened... among other things, simpleplanes got corrupted, i moved house, my phone broke (which i was making it on) and many other things. however... i could revive the project soon... an f4f wildcat could still be on the cards!!
try moving the COM back and lower it to BELOW the centre of mass. or, add ballast to a piston and use overload to increase the extend length to move it back in flight if it pitches up too high with extended wings, and put it on the same AG as the wings.
@WhiteKyuremGaming adapt as much as you like cos mine is designed to run on low spec devices. Do what you like with it, just don't make it north Korean, and if you make it Russian, it must be Soviet until the end.
I feel the same, but watching tutorials has taught me to be creative - use whatever you can get your hands on. Little details make a big difference. be picky.
Also, download some advanced builds and explore them to see what tricks they use, but be prepared to spend at least 5 hours making some really advanced projects.
Obviously I am nowhere near the standard you expected an answer from, but these are some of the things I use to help myself improve.
If you are using mobile, some of the bigger builds might be very laggy, so beware...
@vcharng i use fn+f12 which works
@Brendorkus i have that problem too, i dont think there is a keyboard binding for screenshots on my laptop
big wings for payload? nah... who needs them... check out the underside of a fully loaded typhoon xD
(but seriously, beautiful)

XF/B40 - US Experimental jet multirole fighter-bomber (fictional)
I marvel at how you got such detail with such a low part count... Upvoting immediately without even trying it out, this is superbly built
thank you so much!
@Mustang51 you have... completely and utterly fixed it
@Mustang51 aha! I think I know what happened...

Was also making a draken with similar problems so I might try those changes there too

@Mustang51 cos I mean I think 1500kg/m^2 is a lot?!! The weight is creating a lot of inertia too

this was 2.5 years ago. come back mate we miss you
+3@starxiao he does a mod called 'wings' or something which is integrated into this mod... that has a tutorial in the description i think.
any chance you could make a version without the advanced cockpit so i could run it better? thanks
@Uberdashie he probably made it and got someone else to test it for him, under 1000 parts is usually the upper limit for mobile devices

@Vidal99977 fixed it, it is in my posts (unlisted)
@ShermanFirefly it is on the way, I expect to release sometime on sunday, though the release date is subject to change.
@ShermanFirefly @randomusername a 200 part wildcat? I will give it a go...
+1engine between the vtail?
+2@BlueCitrus i will do one anyway as some people i know still can't. good that you can run larger stuff though!
@Vidal99977 ok, will give all credit to you though in the finished product

@BlueCitrus if I download it when finished I could reduce the part count, unless @Vidal99977 is planning on making a lower part count one
BOEING DREAMLIFTER!!!!!!!
long time, you have set our expectations very high... but you are guaranteed to be better than me

just to note: this thing will break the game, potentially corrupting files, so be careful with it and use it at your own risk
