@BaconEggs I've done that before. It is beyond lame for that to end up being the best fix. When it is working properly drag can be used to make craft with very unique flight properties.
@ark3192 Ah, nvm. There's a turboprop in there. I think the RPM was scaled to a ridiculous number and then it was shrunk to the size of a dust particle because I can't see it.
if you cant implement cuttable fuselages, then instead of just rise and run we need a BEND option. Because then any plate or tube could be made into a rounded object. We could make our own curved fuses to fit any situation. It'd still make windows un-fun to make, but hey, it'd be useful
@Captainboeing they are not a huge studio fam. If they aren't updating it a couple of the devs make mods to support further functionality. Given the price and scope of this title, I wouldn't badger about it.
Allow for cutout of fuselages based on "stamp" where another fuselage or set of fuselages meet it. Would make window making on hollow fuselages easy. Ex. Have a round Hollow fuselage, Attach a round fuselage to it perpendicularly and then "stamp" out the shape of a circle on the original tube. You now have an open hole in the hollow fuse on the side.
Pre-built objects to load into planes. Cars/Vehicles, Fuel Tanks(not for the plane itself), Dolly racks (that allow addition and removal of objects), etc. Okay. Broken record stuff over. I know the ask is probably too large. Just want a "why" when I'm building my planes.
Cargo holder object/Cargo loading system. Actionable Item that can be loaded with a modifiable or preset "container" or "box" with variable weights/sizes. The Item would attach or detach based on context. When I build a cargo plane, I like to imagine I'm flying a payload from point a to point b, but there's very little to actually facilitate this in game currently. outside of combat and racing, there's not much structure is all.
Mission/Scenario structure like the game Snowrunner. To explain I mean have scenarios that drive the creation of a certain kind of plane. Like Tasks. This would require some other changes that I'll post as separate suggestions.
@PapaKernels Sometimes when designing future stuff I think "is this odd enough?". That's what I was going for. Heavy sturdy planes up front to provide only the necessary performance. The next revision released outside of the challenge will see more pleasing changes.
@NojusGindrenas Yeah I focused on light roll only. Since its civil aviation I figured smoother/slower was better. Thanks man. I'm humbled. I'm starting to love doing challenges.
@AtlasAviation thanks! it was a pleasure to build. I think I'll build a version with an interior and some other features later. but that'll be released outside of a challenge.
@NojusGindrenas yes I'd love to. I'm in. That being said I know it doesn't seem to be stated in your description, but can you give an idea of how futuristic you're wanting to see? 2030s? 40s? 50+?
I love the revision. One annoying thing about supcom stuff is how big the craft are supposed to be. Like with my builds I think the scale is off but I tend to ignore it because the "scale" they set for the game makes some of these craft ridiculously oversized.
@AtlasAviation oh neat. which ones? I'd be interested in doing every vehicle (even some of my favorite modded ones) just to get it done. I think it'd be neat af if the whole catalogue were on simpleplanes
@NormalPioneer thank you dude. Yeah. I try to put pseudo realismin the areas I can because I don't have the ability to all over. Alot of these designs have their own little story in my head. I used to write much more detailed descriptions of each craft but I don't get many downloads so its felt a bit wasted. Story is more for me anyway.lol
@WarshipWarshipTheDude yes. but no structure. im just musing about possibilities. also maybe digging to see if someone knew of games I didn't. For instance. "Drone: The Game" while limited comes close because you build your drone to meet very specific needs. In this case combat. I have 1000+ hours in Simpleplanes so I know how to get the empty calorie entertainment from it yo.
@Cabbage17 You are welcome to make whatever modifications you would like. I actually planned the things you found to be inadequate. The idea was that the starflowers were advanced enough that they didn't need to be scaled to the engine sizes we see today. This is the future as you said. The wings were similarly mulled over. Intention in universe was to have as little drag as necessary while still providing great lift. Airfoils are airfoils however. Feel free to swap out what you wish. I only ask that it be made a successor.
How? How does the builder camera not make it impossible for you to make something like this. If I go over a certain number of feet I can't see anything.
@Kangy who?
@BaconEggs I've done that before. It is beyond lame for that to end up being the best fix. When it is working properly drag can be used to make craft with very unique flight properties.
@Sakorsky nvm im an idiot, misread my notifications. its here: https://www.simpleplanes.com/a/H52330/AAD-312-UHG-Clyde
@Sakorsky same here

@Pigeony I would also like to know. It isn't a good noise. But I'm still curious how this is done without a tone block
updated. might be a tad late but whatever. wanted it out there
action groups for control surfaces
+3more than 8 action groups

Looks like i need to get back on my supcom builds
@Mikeeeeeeeeeee interesting. will follow with great interest
Can an output shaft be put on it? Perhaps to spin a propeller?
Ite bet.

Okay. Build completed. Didn't bother with an interior because I know my skills are nothing but lacking there. Enjoy.
Alright. joining.

@AtlasAviation I shall endeavour to make more then. I only stopped because interest stopped. I'm really good at building when I have motivation.
@NormalPioneer thank you dude. Yeah. I try to put pseudo realismin the areas I can because I don't have the ability to all over. Alot of these designs have their own little story in my head. Thank you @AtlasAviation. I appreciate it.
@ark3192 but snowtires is the example I truly mean. Because you have real contracts there for cargo specifically.

+1@ark3192 Hey I finished my entry. It can be found here: https://www.simpleplanes.com/a/36Lj49/AAT-712-Prime-Hold
+1sure I'll bite if you're still interested.
+1I'll make a lower part count version sometime soon
oh cool. most downloads in a long while. thanks guys

This will be the first in a series of planes if you're interested. Also posting images in descriptions really sucks Jundroo. Link always breaks.
wow. good job!
@Jcgunzilla Both games still have active communities. I still play quite frequently.
@plane918273645 Cheers!! was a fun match
