@Boeing777x its definitely a step in the right direction, and this one was so much fun to work on i sorta overlooked a few small details before publishing, but I couldn't resist haha. So glad you like it!
@PlaneFlightX Wow! I will check it out at my first opportunity. And thank you, you've gone out of your way to help me with this, and I greatly appreciate it. Hopefully this will help me improve my funky tree skills a bit better too haha
@Boeing777x Its certainly an overdue step forward. I hadn't realized just how limiting high-part count builds could be. And I'm getting better with making the wings the actual shape I want so thats always good haha
@PlaneFlightX Thank you kindly for the upvote and taking time to visit and comment!
I actually hadn't realized flaps and slats ought to be controlled together, thank you for educating me on that!
As for funky trees and the landing gear, my experience using funky frees is pretty limited and I have a lot to learn still. I agree, there's a bit to be desired in terms or their functionality and sequencing (or lackthereof).
@Boeing777x everytime I looked at 400-5, I just saw a lot of potential and the perfect missed opostunity. At least I only had to change like 3 or 4 things here haha. AND she flies quite realistic so I'm happy
@Boeing777x well how about that, I think it worked. Went back and did the permalink thing for the appropriate comment. Thanks for letting me know about that, super useful!
@Boeing777x Here is the link that I used. I will say that this is from the internet, and I take everything from the internet with a grain of salt... that said, numerous characteristics of her fuselage align with the document. Also im not a legal expert, im a total lamen to this sort of stuff, so id also take what im saying with a grain of salt too lol
@Boeing777x she's definitely a big one... fun fact aparently Boeing has a patent on the kind of fuselage shape im using here. And I'm trying to get creative with her pontoons; they open up and everything but now gotta figure out what on earth is coming out of those 😂
@Boeing777x I've actually just finished putting together the fuselage of the 4-decker, its absolutely massive, something like 300 rows of potential seats and just crazy thicc. Super fun to build to far!
@teddyone02 haha she does look a bit bare and pencilly here doesn't she XD, and thank you kindly for taking time to visit and comment! Keep an eye out for the finished product, trying to giver her actual windows and even cabin seating (a first for me).
@Boeing777x Thank you! This is the only large airliner I've worked on where I genuinely considered scrapping her and moving on to the next project. Functionally I'd say she's pretty much finished... not perfect but considering how unique she is compared to my others, I feel like she's a huge stepping stone and learning curve for me, a first for me on several levels. Also I just want her to be done cuz I'm very much looking forward to starting the 4-decker flying boat, pretty much all I can think about now 😂
@Boeing777x it really is, I was nervous to even attempt a cockpit, but getting her in the air from the cockpit using only the switches and levers was a special feeling. I expect my next plane, once I complete this one, (likely a 4 decker) to go smoother.
@Boeing777x thank you! I liked the idea around the original wings, but there was something about them that I just didn't like. Also I hate that the wingspan was wider than her length, now its better 😂
@Boeing777x now that i have a good handle on funky trees and such, I think a monster 4 decker is a good step in the right direction. so definitely yes :)
@Boeing777x Hey friend. I've been distant from gaming for a while due to work. Recently got a new job that's got me staying out of town for training Monday through Friday, and spending weekends at home. I play off a desktop comp at home, so to my sorrow, finding time to play has been spotty. But yay the training is over at the end of the week cuz ive been itching for simpleplanes. Thanks for checking in! It really means a lot to me, friend.
I remember enjoying this plane a lot in that one game Ace Combat, and tbh yours looks wayyy cooler and flies like a dream too! Gorgeous build my friend!
@Boeing777x at the moment I'm working on a redesign of my ww2 bomber Destroyer. After so many civilian passenger liners I felt like doing something a tad different... with bombs 😃
@Boeing777x its definitely a step in the right direction, and this one was so much fun to work on i sorta overlooked a few small details before publishing, but I couldn't resist haha. So glad you like it!
