It's not fun to fly but yes after you set the detachers from both being dropped on group 2 there's sufficient control authority to continue in sustained flight and divert to land asap.
Needed a little rudder on to stop it rolling right and obviously you have to be very careful with it being so short but I did a quick circuit and put it back on the ground (not quite the runway) in one piece.
I like it wouldn't describe it as a trainer though, way too quick for that you would have dead pilots and instructors splattered all over the mountains.
Simply put they are primary wing types which have next to no strength, you either need to stick them on with pylons or replace them with modified structural wings.
So it's a great development of a good initial concept, could just do without that snappy stall dialling out a little further just have to not pull that hard as it is.
Certainly worthy of further development work, I just duplicated the head and made it a contra rotating assembly and stability was improved although weight distribution is upset in that example.
Only reason it won't work off a ground base is the rear wheel is so far back, move it close to the rear of the wing and it gets away at 150mph ish. A few additional tweaks and this would be an ok plane as it is it flies ok but isn't great.
The department of defence would have lots of condolence letters to send out if this ever made it into production, downright dangerous lack of vertical control, tail heavy at ground speed, nose heavy in flight and gets worse the faster you fly, six crewmembers per plane would also be a huge draw on manpower and fiscal resources.
Whilst it's commendable for only using standard parts you need a higher thrust to weight ratio and lower drag rating to achieve real speed especially down low where I test most of my aircraft out. Try not to make aircraft any wider than they need to be and make the shape as slippery as possible, this example for instance has 6 front facing blocks but only two of those are producing power.
I'm stuck can't get your propeller to spin regardless of what I do, tried installing a new rotator etc and it still doesn't spin, short of rebuilding from scratch I'm all out of ideas.
@Spikerya allow me to load v3 with additional ailerons first and then you can amend that one, this still lacks roll. And then providing its linked as a successor you can repaint and rearm.
@Garuda1 pitch control now from part of the wing, part of the horizontal and part of the vertical stabilizers.
@SpiritusRaptor like the video obviously the F106 was never ment as a ground attack jet and carried it's weapons inboard to reduce drag.
Thanks for rating everyone.
@Garuda1 so 33mins later and there's a new version of your plane available, if you aren't happy with it let me know and I will remove it.
@Garuda1 give me an hour or so let's see if we can get you flying better.
@45678 many thanks for the rating, most of my planes can be brought to rest on a flat surface, you just need to be gentle with them.
It's great once you are off the deck something not quite right with the landing gear though as she won't taxi in a straight line.
Could do with more pitch control ended badly when it nosed in at landing speeds.
Nice to see someone new posting aircraft keep it up.
Well done, think the tail should perhaps sit lower but otherwise great effort.
Excellent effort.
Hate to upset you colonials but it's only the 1st today so you have to wait until Saturday.

Here's one I made earlier (2 months ago), https://www.simpleplanes.com/a/t8NU96/Jsf-Challenge-UK-Navalised Hope you like
Odd little plane.
Well I flew the little plane, it does a job although I'm not sure if it couldn't do with a bit more surplus power.
I like it wouldn't describe it as a trainer though, way too quick for that you would have dead pilots and instructors splattered all over the mountains.
To be fair I didn't even try it, will do in a bit, just tied up for the next 40mins or so.

Can fix the pitching issue by setting the wings correctly, downside is with that engine you are going to.rip the wings off once you get past 600mph.
@OfficialExoSoft an enhanced version now with less instability just uploaded.
Looks good actually like something so well done.
Flies well and drops its bombs.
A bit late to be entering Rohans challenge is it not?
@TheChosenOne thanks for rating
@Jhawk1099 length and vertical stability need increasing would be my suggestions, trick is to just do little at a time.
So it's a great development of a good initial concept, could just do without that snappy stall dialling out a little further just have to not pull that hard as it is.
@ZFM99 give it a go you could be pleasantly surprised.

@BaronVonVader many thanks for dropping in and rating, be sure to check out the range of other planes in my back catalogue.
Great looking car.
It's an improvement as you've reduced frontal area.
Copied without crediting the original builder or seeking permission?

@corey1324 I've subbed your wings and tail and have plans to rebuild at a later date.

Stealth? As in hard to see/track.
Flies well looks nice I'm not sure you need the vertical structural winglet at the front but apart from that great.

Doesn't really add anything does it, a little change in the blues but that's it.
A work of art well done.
@Spikerya v3 is up loaded you can within reason do as you wish with the paint, weapons and landing gear.

I like your conceptual designs, not my usual cup of Assam but it takes all sorts and your designs are way out there.
So a week and 200 more downloads and yet not a single comment or acknowledgement 😢
