... That’s kindof the point. Forum posts are characterically low-effort. The forums are an egotistical mess as it is - adding a point incentive will just make it even worse.
@Sadboye12 Ty! This was a very long project. If you count some of the early FT work on an old testbed (unlisted), this build took two months. Needless to say, I am very proud of it!
@MelonLord Ty! I am an an aerospace engineering student, so I often like to copy/paste dynamics stuff. Work wise, I worked with high energy depositions at low-to-medium altitudes. That’s all I’ll elaborate on though - the work is niche and I don’t want to disclose any personally identifiable info.
Seriously, why should we care?
.
This build’s existence has no effect on anyone now. It is old news. Please, for the love of all that is good in this world, stop with this manufactured outrage.
Yes. I am actually not a real person. My entire profile is the result of an advanced AI designed by the CCP. I am a Chinese script planted by Jundroo to undermine US capitalism. I have completed ~56.742% of my directives to unironically establish a SimplePlanes Commune.
No worries! I included my discord as people usually get aggressive when I expose them to an opinion different than theirs. Here's a link that provides some info on how to DM. You are by no means obligated to chat with me, but if you want to, DM me, and I can explain my logic in a friendly and honest way.
On the internet, people are judgmental for no reason. Make what you want to make! Keep in mind that most of the people who say unnecessary mean things are most likely too young to be on this site anyway.
It honestly depends what you are going for. If you want sleeker aerodynamics, you should go for a retracting sort of deal. You can also have the guns integrated into the hull (the barrel barely pokes out of the ship).
.
However, if you want to show off your cool guns, then leave them outside of the hull!
@hpgbproductions The font is one of the built-ins in MS PowerPoint. I think it’s called “Bancgothic” or something like that. The AGs let you specify which flight mode you want to be in.
Hmmm. If its a problem with how the input works itself, then I'm not sure that Funky Trees can be used. That said - I am not very experienced with props. Someone else might be more helpful than me.
Nice video, with a good build! That said, the issue of police reform is more complex than many believe. I personally am not a fan of the statement, "back the blue", as it often implies that legitimate calls for police reform are inherently anti-law-enforcement. Of course, this simplification of police reform arguments is misleading.
.
I know that there is political context surrounding the build. I am not personally opposed to the build. I actually respect and freely chat with the creator of the build despite our ideological differences.
.
Sorry if I'm out of line here. I do not want SP to be an echo chamber, which is why I feel obligated to leave this comment. If you want to talk more, reach out to me via unlisted post or discord: spefyjerbf#8985
From the last month I only see one challenge, that seems to be too niche and vague at the same time. The description never defines what sort of posts are expected in a “fallout challenge”. Now, you did state that it must pertain to the storyline, but it still seems kind of vague to me.
.
I mentioned that the challenge was niche, which can be good or bad for challenge performance. In this case it is bad. A challenge that is hyper-specific forces designers to work within a very narrow range of designs. Instead of a fallout challenge, perhaps reframe the challenge in more general terms. Perhaps pose a challenge with a post-nuclear-apocalyptic spin - that would be a very similar challenge with more wiggle room for participants.
.
Hope this helps.

+1@officialryanyang Lmao, yeah I like to mess around in my unlisted posts. Fun times
@switdog08 I might, though I don’t really like building replicas. Perhaps something with the same vibe, then.
+1@CRJ900Pilot Thank you! We’ll see what’s next. School is starting back up so chances are I will have a hiatus for a few months.
@DarthAbhinav Pure coincidence! I was browsing Instagram before I posted, and one of the designers that I follow posted about World Helicopter Day!
+1Despite the functional shortcomings that you mentioned, this build looks great. Love the design!

+1@Viper3000ad Ty! When I post, I try make it count. I’l glad that I hit the target on this one.
+1@goboygo1 Ty! I quite like the name too :)
@Aeromotive Thank you! The FT alone took days to complete.
Ight ok. Glad that this got resolved. Next time contact the mods privately though, instead of ranting on the forums. Take care.
+2Yeah, so they don’t moderate every curse word, but this time they moderated your curse word. Maybe just don’t drop f-bombs next time.
+3@KnightOfRen @JSwannyGaming148 Thank you! It took me days to design the flight system alone. I’m glad that you like it.
+1@FLOWRIDER0 Wonderful! I have uploaded the heli. Apparently today is World Helicopter Day, too, so the timing couldn’t be better.

Happy World Helicopter Day!
@MelonLord Awesome! Aerospace engineering is a great career. Very challenging, but also very rewarding. Definitely worth it.
Not sure. This code looks pretty compact to me!
@FireFast212 No problem!
+1@FireFast212 Smooth limits how fast a value changes. It lets you designate a rate for the change of the value.
@FireFast212 It “clamps” whatever is in the parenthesis. As a result, the function will never be lower than zero, or larger than 1.
@Gluck Ty! This was a pretty ambitious project.
+1As much as I despise orange man, his jets have some nice liveries, and the build looks pretty nice too.
+8@TheSavageManZ Yep! I used a special gyro instead. I didn’t like the imbalance of lateral forces that would come with a tailrotor.

@jamesPLANESii Ty! I am self taught with all of my graphics. Work-wise, I am an aerospace engineering student.
@Alta2809 I started building this about two months ago. I took plenty of breaks though!
+1@FireFast212 clamp01 is a function used in Funky Trees.
CL plots!
Makes sense. In math, ♾ • 0 is indeterminate. Given that a computer is basically a math-solver, I can see why the game bugged out.
+3@TomekHellFire Ty! Thankfully this heli has some automatic flight systems that make it much easier to fly.
+1You might be able to clamp the input to make the trim less powerful.
@_PolarSpirit Thank you!
Seriously, why should we care?

+7@Poomch980 No problem! I might as well release a tool that I use for almost every build of mine.
