@CptJacobson Thank you! I try to add more content through graphics, etc to give users a good feel for the aircraft - it’s good to hear that I am somewhat successful in that regard.
@ThomasRoderick Thanks! Yep, the angle will be quite small. At most pi/12 radians, so that is an excellent idea for a quick afterburner/boost system.
.
I will have an exact angle in my next build, but I’ll do the math when I actually start my next plane.
.
Ninja edit: The math will involve finding the angle in which the average value of the error equals 1% (or less) of the max effective thrust.
@DarkHunter19 Thank you! You can edit the laser color through XML. To do this, download the overload mod, then use it to edit the guns. After clicking around a bit, you will see an option for tracer color, with an associated hex color code. Enter a new hex color code to change the color.
@FLYGUY101 Yep! Except it is a little harder to use. Your plane will cast shadows on the background (which can be used artistically), and the time of day may discolor the background.
Not really. There are always interesting things to do/learn out there, and there are always interesting people to meet. Just takes a little bit of searching.
@Viper3000ad In SP, wings generate lift when they move. Normally, such motion is caused by engine thrust, but in this build, the lift-inducing motion is caused by pistons.
@ColonelStriker Hollow fuselages are really nice for detailing! About 1/3rd if the part count is for function, which in my opinion, is a sign of good design.
@Notaleopard Edit: I didn’t read the syntax correctly. One sec.
I’ll provide example format with spaces:

Sure, here’s a plane, and another plane.
@CenturiVonKikie Thank you! I didn’t know that.
+1@Bacondoggie My next upload will be a bunch of weapon subassemblies from this build, as well as many others.
Aerospace engineering student here!
@Chernould Gunship mode simply allows you to operate the Imperon gun. No VTOL capabilities on this build. Sorry!
@ThomasRoderick I did a sneaky edit to my comment to improve it.
+2@CptJacobson Thank you! I try to add more content through graphics, etc to give users a good feel for the aircraft - it’s good to hear that I am somewhat successful in that regard.

@Brendenhayes The turret is optimized to be controlled on PC, while using the mouse as a joystick.
@QuantausAviation @4Dimensional I was a little late with the uploading, but here it is!
Nice work. My only criticism is that I can’t see the car very well in the screenshots.
+3Here's an old forum post about formatting. Formatting for adding pictures (same syntax works for gifs), as well as other formatting, is in the post.
+1@QuantausAviation Thanks! I’ll be sure to do so.
@DarkHunter19 No problem, thanks for asking!
@DarkHunter19 Ah, iOS doesn't allow mods. Unfortunately, you will not be able to change the tracer color on your device.

No problem! It looks quite nice. My only criticism is that the canopy can be smoothed. Certainly upvote-worthy though!
@EliteArsenals24 Thank you! Everything is going along pretty well.
@Mattangi2 An admittedly goofy name, but some trig was needed to fully flesh-out the concept.
@4Dimensional If all goes to plan, I should upload it Friday or Saturday. All depends on my willingness to write up the description.
Eh, not really - most of us just like to chill and build stuff.
+2@johnarcie009123 Lots of experience and practice. I have been playing SP for years now!
@4Dimensional Of course!
@FLYGUY101 I believe that can be done in the console. Perhaps search something along the lines of “change designer color in console”?
@FLYGUY101 Yep! Except it is a little harder to use. Your plane will cast shadows on the background (which can be used artistically), and the time of day may discolor the background.
@ChristianBoer Interesting. It might be because the XML properties used in many of these don’t exist anymore. Thanks for the warning!
Great looks, and the part count isn’t too high either!
+2What kind of weapons do you need? I might have some that fit your desired function.
@ThomasRoderick More or less. I have tested the system with a maximum weight of 1500 pounds successfully.
@Thomasj041 I thought I did. You can set the activation group to none, or to 9.
@Thomasj041 Nope! I used scaled detachers as structural features to get more detail from a reduced part count.
Not really. There are always interesting things to do/learn out there, and there are always interesting people to meet. Just takes a little bit of searching.
@Greenmachine They should! I would be surprised if they didn’t.

+1@AWESOMENESS360 Thanks! It was a cool little concept. I'm glad that I gave it another shot!
@ThomasRoderick Thanks! It’s a really weird concept, but it’s pretty mesmerizing to fly.
+1@Hyattorama Thanks! It probably wouldn’t work IRL, due to how airfoils are shaped, but I think it’s still pretty neat.
+2@8bitgamer33 Oops! I copy/pasted the original description from the drone. There is no box. Thanks for catching that! The description has been updated.
@ColonelStriker Hollow fuselages are really nice for detailing! About 1/3rd if the part count is for function, which in my opinion, is a sign of good design.
@EliteArsenals24 Thanks! I paid special attention to the launch sequence.
@Roswell @CRJ900Pilot @Mod Thank you! This one was a blast to build.
+1@AWESOMENESS360 Thank you! it was fun to make the drone.
@ThomasRoderick Yeah, it is pretty annoying. But it doesn’t affect performance!
+1@PvPSky The drone is a bit wierd at high altitudes, so it might be that.
@zuck Thank you!
@Mumpsy Thanks! It was very fun designing this thing, and even more fun to test.
@Strikefighter04 Thanks! This was a fun one to build.
@Roswell @CrashFighter05 @CptJacobson Thanks for your patience! The nomad has been uploaded!
@Awsomur @BlackhattAircraft @Stormfur The Nomad has been uploaded!
