@Scriefers, thanks for the rating and feedback. Means a lot coming from you, and its nice to see all the 4x4 enthusiasts coming out to show love. Such a fun pastime blazing up and down trails in a jeep. Cant wait to bust a few U joints and break something else on my 4x4 this spring(79 ford f150), this build just let me get my kicks without all the fixes.
@TheLatentImage, thanks for the rating and feedback. I figured it would be a big floppy mess on low. Almost everything i run on my iphone has to be low and it crashes almost all the time even with the video recording off, so i never really use it on my mobile anymore. PC/mac version is just so damn good.
@Wakescar lol problems, i feel ya. Expensive hobby in the long run. That cherokee sounds awesome!! Im looking for something 95' and down for emission purposes here in missouri(exempt 95 and older). I will definitely post this jeep build for you guys, Its a blast driving it in the mountains and along the shore. Glad someone who rock crawls can appreciate how much this build replicates the real thing. Now to find those modded fuel tanks again, its hard finding stuff on the site.
@Wakescar, the jeep I built will probably make your game crash if you are working on an ipad. I also have a 4x4. Its a 79 ford F150 with a 6 inch suspension lift, 4 inch body lift, with a dana 44 Front axle and a 9inch ford rear axle sitting on 35s. Not really a trail rig, but it hangs with my buddies that have cherokees. Im about to sell it and build a cherokee(they are a dime a dozen on craigslist). The ford is just too damn big and the turning sucks. Plus having a kid makes a single cab useless to me, and a cherokee is more family friendly. As for this 4x4 chassis, Im going to see if a can add one if those modded fuel tanks to make it more mobile friendly.
one thing that makes it roll a lot better is placing a VTOL jet on each side set to roll, with one inverted. Then you can adjust the pitch rotators on the back to 50 and it handles a lot more aggressive.
Looks A-mazing dude! I wish I could control this with my dx6i, then it would be complete. This is why i followed you(guess you had 4 other uploads of this).
This looks amazing, and flies like a bat out of hell. But as some one so eloquently put it, there is a throttle for a reason. Jet props, modded props, you can never make everyone happy on this site. It just proves the obvious point that the propeller engines need an update which makes it so you can tweak the power/blades to match the replica. Especially for bigger war birds. Keep up the good work!
@Wahoo12 i stand strongly for turbo props because the in game props are lacking. I try to balance them so that they are not overpowered and they perform like the real thing. Sorry i broke the rules, but i wanted the flying characteristics to match the looks. I dont deserve the ratings since technically i cheated, just had an old model that I felt could fit the bill and add to the competition since you mentioned me. A very unique challenge for sure, and its sad not many participated.
@ksavage just position them where you want with them snapping to an attachable surface while they are red, then Rotate the pieces a couple times and they usually lock in place. Thats how most people do "clipping".
@Boccia thanks for that comment. It is one if my favorites to fly that ive built. Recently Ive put longer retractable landing gear and a couple little tweaks on it that have really made me happy with the way it looks now. I might release the update, but im rather tired of people complaining that the things i make are too complicated or dont work on mobile devices. But your comment is a refreshing reminder that everyone doesnt suck on this site! Glad you enjoy my stuff.
@Wakescar, i would love to see what you got. Truthfully, ive since built a rock crawling jeep on the platform, but i had to remove the gas and make it a detacher, and built the whole body out of structural wings. Since ive been testing it, it looks like anything under 33,000 lbs is safe on the wheels, bigger and the wheels disintegrate. I had to make the tire profile thinner too, by one blocks width. I would love to see this chassis perfected, because it has potential, and doesn't look like a wagon on crack. Wish i could share the build with only you so you could see what i have so far. It would be cool to privately share builds, because frankly im sick of most the junk on this site.
One key thing is to get the center of mass between the two sets of rotators. Moving the VTOL engines to the back and making the troops inside move back as far as you can and dropping a few will get you in the right direction. Once the center of mass is in the right place, make sure the engines pivot the same. Also put the VTOL jets on the rotating parts so the COT is near the COM (one nozzle for each rotating engine) and to ensure all rotation is in sync with each other. Hope this helps.
This is awesome man! Even tho many hate it, I love this movie. Its mad max on water, whats not to love about that. The style was kick ass and you did it justice with this!
wow, that is too cool. It looks really good man!!! One thing, it needs directions in the description, cause i have no idea how to make the chamber rotate.
@CakeMixRemix That isnt my fault, you need to report that to the developers. You shouldn't rate peoples builds because your game crashed. Obviously you are the only one that had that problem out of 1,328 downloads, but thanks for the rating........
@Jettison, sorry about that friend. These offroad chassis builds tend to be rather large. Also i do most of my stuff on pc so i forget this game is also on mobile devices. If you want to delete all the fuel cells that will help to keep the piece count down and weight. In the one i have i removed them and added them as a detacher for later use when i was ready to test. I hope you are able to build another because i would love to see it. Doesn't look like there is going to be alot of entries due to its size.
Turns out the wheels exploding is due to the weight of the chassis which isnt an immediate problem on the stock one. The wheels cant handle much more than what is on it originally. I had to redesign it with the fuel as a detacher to save weight. Also the body has to be made of structural wings to keep weight down. Was hoping this challenge would explore the possibilities of the chassis and improve on it. Thanks for your submission.
Seriously, this is one bad mofo. Id say you just nailed best x wing hands down. It even has r2, whaaaaaat? I have no idea what credit i deserve, cause this thing is beyond awesome to me. All 6 buttons do something, epic! If anyone says this is too complicated i will happy show up to their house and punch them in the throat. You just won the simple planes internet for today man!!!
this is awesome, you should make a modified version of this made out of all structural wings to slap on my chassis. Big Foot! I realized that weight is an issue with my design, so i made a different version with the fuel as a detacher to save weight.
This set the bar really high, i love that the handlebar moves when you turn. The wheels tend to hit the fender flares but the original build is too big for anything practical, and that was my bad. Thanks for submitting, this really looks amazing!
Anyone who has a gripe with this design is a hater, because this thing is amazing. The rotating outboard engine is the best thing! This is one of the most original designs I have seen on this site! This thing behaves like a real boat. Easily one of my top favorite things to drive now, and for that I am now a big fan of your work!!!
Awesome man, its so cool how that worked out with the rotators. Flys like a dream. Glad I was able to help even tho it was really hard to explain. This ship isn't getting the attention it deserves!!!
Using the top view image as reference, Connect the rotator roll mechanism where the small jet engine touches the yaw rotator block, and make sure they aren't touching anything but each rotator block and mount the new rotator block to the fuselage as the base for blades
I like the way it flies, but I have a tip. I rebuilt this design to be able to work solely on the VTOL nozzles and no RCN. If you add another rotator attached to the Yaw rotator so it pivots on the back set to roll, you can make it roll from the rotation. Also attach the 4 VTOL Nozzles on the Blade housings.. I put one in the front on the inside, and one in the back inside on each side. then you have to balance the weight so the center is within the middle of the blades. hope that makes sense. I wont post the one I tweaked out of respect cause I rather you get the credit, but I assure you its possible.
@TheLatentImage, thanks i really appreciate the rating. The Apache is hands down my favorite, so i had to make it the best i could. Sad tho the update makes it fly a lot worst than it already does. Hopefully in a newer update helicopters parts will make it in. Only dual rotor helis work now, which is why i built the chinook. Everything else spins out of control.
@RockettLL, thats really the only option besides the large jet engine, but it was to wide to fit without making the whole jet bigger like on other builds. Keeping the size down makes the VTOL a lot better
@Scriefers, thanks for the rating and feedback. Means a lot coming from you, and its nice to see all the 4x4 enthusiasts coming out to show love. Now thats keeping it light and simple. Love it!!!!! Im going to yank out the fuel cells and make them a detacher to make this thing fly over jumps!!
@Wakescar , lol thats some damn poetry right there.
@Wakescar, does it work in your ipad?
@Hyperion6, thanks man, you gave me the inspiration for the steering wheel and cab details :)

on thing it needs is structural wing rotor blades, they are to big and bend under stress easily.
Looks A-mazing dude! I wish I could control this with my dx6i, then it would be complete. This is why i followed you(guess you had 4 other uploads of this).
One of the best looking biplanes I've seen in this game. It flies like a missile, but looks like a relic. Love the prop on the front.
^^You have way too much free time? Obviously you spend your free time hating.
Damn son, you made the hand look about as real as it gets in this game. Very creative, and very unique. This has got to be featured!!!

Best looking P-38 hands down. I absolutely love it!!!!
@Authros, thanks man, always appreciate your feedback.
Awesome, for reasons.
@Boccia thanks for that comment. It is one if my favorites to fly that ive built. lol, the VTOL slider, i always forget that. Found the rotator!

Thanks for your submission, and you got 2nd!!! For your participation, you get all 5 stars from me on all your builds.
You are the winner!!! Way to go amigo.
Finally, a good looking Osprey, good job man!!! also, the weight is very close to the real thing, so that is a very good thing(33,000 lbs IRL).
@CakeMixRemix That isnt my fault, you need to report that to the developers. You shouldn't rate peoples builds because your game crashed. Obviously you are the only one that had that problem out of 1,328 downloads, but thanks for the rating........
Man, I want to white squal this ship so hard. Amazing!

Simply awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
bravo man,the props work fan-bloody-tastic. This should be standard on any big prop builds from now one. Game changer!!
@Wakescar, lol. I love that my posts become discussion for beta release on iOS.
@lizi13399a, it takes off and lands vertically, that's why I have instructions to do so on the top of the description.
Awesome man, its so cool how that worked out with the rotators. Flys like a dream. Glad I was able to help even tho it was really hard to explain. This ship isn't getting the attention it deserves!!!

Sounds like it should be any day now. @CmdrAlex

@lizi13399a, what do you mean by vertical takeoff? It does it.
Finally, an EVE fan!!! You should make some Caldari frigates!!!
