There’s not a way to edit thumbnails. With this build I wouldn’t even bother, it seems to be gaining decent popularity already. I wouldn’t bother with redirects or anything, they don’t change the thumbnail but they add an extra step to seeing the build page which can be annoying for some. All redirects do is take you to a different aircraft when you click on the main one so there wouldn’t be a good way to do this.

The apple restriction is against unsigned code, which I take it to mean is stuff that is essentially additional chunks of the game being added that aren’t published through an authorized platform. Mod support, if we take that to mean specifically user-created content with scripting enabled, is 100% possible, it just requires an approach to compatibility that they did not take on SP1 all those years ago.
On Android it’s much easier, they just gotta use a different backend
No offense, but literally no one is emotionally invested except you. There’s a difference between off-topic (things that aren’t related to the game but are interesting) and stream of consciousness (posting literally whatever you feel like). This one falls solidly into the stream-of-consciousness category of posts that have no relevance to the game, aviation, or anything anyone cares about really. The forums are a place where this kind of stuff is acceptable to post, but as someone who used to do this I would encourage second guessing before you click the “submit” button if this is actually purposeful in any way. Putting 5 words in a bio isn’t something that needs to be questioned in public. Maybe in a chatroom, or in a Discord group or subreddit or something. The forums have got pretty brain-dead lately and I feel that this post is an example of the times. You’re not posting anything crazy unusual, but I find it very unfortunate that this is the direction that the forums are headed.
Juno and SP share account systems, so you automatically get a JNO account when you make an SP account . Having an account on SP with a certain number of points (idk how many, I assume 1000+) gives your JNO account 100 free points so you can do things like make a bio and embed images in your posts.
I loaded into the world in this. With a bit of experimentation I was able to get going at a steady 3 miles per hour. As I reached to put the game into fast-forward mode a bomber hurtled out of nowhere and crashed into me.
10/10 creation.
lol no this is not true, if you believe that you can get what you want just because you want it you’re never gonna get there. You gotta set your mind to what you’re trying to do (be a pilot) and work for it. The dream is worthless without the ability to act on it. People are gonna tell you fluffy stuff like “if you believe in yourself you’ll get want you want” or “good things will happen to me if I’m a good person” but this is a quasireligious myth made up by upper middle class people that have never had anything bad happen to them.
I believe you can be a pilot, just gotta put in the work. Rooting for ya man
Ok this is not related to SimplePlanes at all but I can’t help but comment. Memory and Storage are two different things. Memory is all the things that your device needs to keep track of in the moment. Where things are in your game, for instance. Storage is all the data it needs to keep track of in the moment. The game itself is an example. The iphone 12 has 4gb of memory (aka ram). I take it that's a pretty demanding game so it should in theory use lots of ram. Worst case scenario the game crashes.
@imprezamk on iOS it’s because of policies regarding running unsigned code. On Android it’s because mod builds rely on a unity backend that is 32-bit when Android apps are supposed to be 64-bit. They could certainly make mods to be compatible with mobile if they wanted but they’d have to design the game around it from day one. Look at Minecraft for mobile or even the planes on the site, mods definitely do exist for mobile apps the only reason SP doesn’t have it is just because of weirdness with app stores and this being a ten year old game.
Electronica is great for when I just want to chill and focus. Usually I’m not a huge fan of all the beeps and boops and pure synth music like you’d typically associate with electronic music, I like stuff that’s a little more organic like Four Tet or Bonobo. I also like some weirder music, like Burial or older DJ Shadow. People who like Minecraft music can probably appreciate a lot of this stuff (Aphex Twin also has some chill bangers)
If you like hip hop A Tribe Called Quest is amazing for this because it’s chill but it’s still fun to listen and sing along to
@V you can only root certain models, this one is not capable of that for some reason. I did use Fire Toolbox to try and debloat it a little bit, I got rid of the lock screen ads and added Aurora Store so I can get any android app that's on the Play Store without signing in. The terminal is an app called Termux that apparently can interact with the device the same way a typical Linux terminal would (Fire OS= custom android = extremely custom Linux kernel). Right now I'm trying to use it for computer vision to try and make a drowning detection system for my local pool.
@CKKI I’ve never ridden in it, but it is super cool. Here’s a picture of it in action, just for reference this is my uncle driving it about 30 years ago and my grandpa still takes it out on the trails every once in a while. I think this is a film photo as well, which is kinda sick.

Fun fact, that picture's circumstances are mostly illegal, at least according to the AI search results, he's only doing a couple things right.
To take a boat on the ocean, you need to meet the U.S. Coast Guard's requirements for safety equipment. These requirements include: [1, 2, 3]
Personal flotation devices (PFDs)
Each person on board needs a Coast Guard-approved PFD that's the right size for them. Children 12 and under must wear a PFD on a moving boat. [3, 4, 5]
Visual distress signals
You need at least three devices for daytime use and three for nighttime use. These can be pyrotechnic devices, like flares, or non-pyrotechnic devices, like an orange flag and an electric SOS light. [1, 2, 6]
Fire extinguishers
The number and type of fire extinguishers you need depends on the age and size of your boat. [7]
Sound signaling devices
Boats 39.4 feet or less need a whistle, handheld air horn, or installed horn. Larger boats need a device that can be heard for one mile. [7]
Navigation lights
Recreational boats need to display navigation lights from sunset to sunrise. [7]
Other equipment
You also need a medical kit, anchor, bailing device, and a copy of the Inland Navigation Rules. [1, 4]
Anyways about face reveals, to be perfectly honest facial recognition is a possibility, if your information is out there and can be linked to a face (driver's license, unrelated social media, etc) you could get doxxed and someone could find your location. Of course this could happen at some point in your life anyway, most people have Instagram, Facebook, or Snapchat and this could just as easily happen on those platforms, but here if you can avoid linking your identity with this site it's probably best. If you want to do it that's obviously up to you, but there is the question of what could happen to you. Do you have enemies? Do people care? Could someone steal your identity? Hurt you? Insult you? You'll probably be fine, but there are 5 billion people that use the internet and any one of them could be someone with very, very bad intentions.
Reminds me of when I ran Rec Room off of an iPod. Not an iPod touch, like a 16 gigabyte thingy meant for playing music. It actually worked pretty well. Rec Room was an odd choice though, I'll admit.
ok fun fact, even though those ids are only 6 bytes, the server hosting never actually takes down planes after they have been deleted from the website. That means that with a little technical skill and an aircraft ID you can recover deleted aircraft. So if you have all those IDs archived that could actually be really, really useful.
Just set a gun's velocity and firerate very high and edit the color, then set the damage pretty low. bit glitchy but not too hard to pull off and it really feels like a laser.
@LunarEclipseSP Probably won't happen because server costs, as of right now they're probably paying like 15 grand a year for both the JNO and SP websites, adding the ability for randos to upload as many pictures as they want on the site would only make that go up. That said I do know a method to host unlimited pictures on the website using a single post using an unintended method. If you'd like to figure out how, tag me on an unlisted because I don't want to publicize this information (again, server costs go up if the website has to handle a lot of media)
There's lots of ways, you can attach them together with very springy (and very long) invisible springs, for ground shots you can rig the vehicles so they only go one direction when spawned as AI, above all else use cockpit cameras put down on the ground with the setting "always look at cockpit" turned on. Additionally some builds exist that are meant solely as camera rigs.
Guns are not as common as most people say, they are legal but it's not like every household has one
Crime rate is not that insane, we're 52nd in the world although I think we're the worst "first-world" country. I will say most of the violent crimes do involve guns though. I will point out there aren't that many stabbings though (take that great brittian). Also this is very related to region, ain't nobody in Massachusetts with a Glock.
New York (and most big cities) have their redeeming factors, they can be quite cool but yea there are bad parts. That's very true even about the big(ish) cities I've been to in europe though.
yes. There is oil in certain parts of the country.
Yes, we use real measurements here. 5280 feet in a mile, baby.
No. That is extremely rare. Mostly because cost is prohibitive.
Yes, unfortunately.
Depends on region.
Yes, i know of a few military bases fairly close to me.
Again, very dependent on region.
Lots of political turmoil. Also Trump, who's running against him, survived an assassination attempt not too long ago.
Nah on my PC it’s Wheatley floating in space via Wallpaper engine, I think I got that one in the bag considering he’s just floating there. Now on my phone, I have the skull trumpet meme but with a minecraft skeleton, so who knows what would happen there.
@TalonTheCRTguy I would find the model number and find the exact PSU that came with it. Those old prebuilts usually have proprietary power connectors, so if you just drop in an off-the-shelf PSU it might not even work. Maybe find the model number and search for PSUs compatible with it if you need to upgrade your wattage (like if you're adding a GPU).
