1)Yes
2) you need Python installed on your system and you have to run the included main.py file with it.
OR you can install a python IDE open the code with it and run. I recommend using Pycharm because it is what i used to make this. Just open the unarchived folder as a pycharm project.
3) yes. All models are hollow. The program builds the mosel as a shell of thin panels made out of fuselage blocks. 1 polygon of source model = 1 fuselage block.
4)Any 3d modelling application like Blender, 3d max
5) yes but quite likely part count would be high. You need specifically .obj files but almost any 3d format can be converted to that (using Blender for example). However, best results are likely to be obtained using low-poly models.
6yes it generates an xmlfile in c/users/admin/appdata/locallow/jundroo/simpleplanes/aircraftdesigns called export.xml. It becomes immediately available in your aircraft list. Before working with this aircraft save it as something else because the export.xml gets overwritten every time you run the program.
@DarkmousePL i think its going to be a nightmare to code. As soon as im back id rather make a map|race and guns. Would make more sense and fun per unit of effort
@Omega6siege most recent update was at feb.23 adding a couple of new pieces. Im planning another update next week with a couple of structurals. Expect a tiny map in March, and dont forget to tag me if you encounter any issues!
@Kerbango yes. There is also a mobile version, but its too limited (i bought some packs to get started, otherwise you will be short on structural parts). Not enough freedom until you grind a decent collection of stuff or buy it. So i wouldnt reccomend to play it seriously (especially since its made by russian devs). Im making this mod to be able to build different creative vehicles, roleplaying, to create some parts|mechanics that arent in the original game... Also I always dreamt of making my game! Even if its just a massive mod. maybe will make a story mode like ex machina (the game crossout is based on, it`s a single player rpg and it was very fun for me)
@jamesPLANESii yes. At it took me A GODDAMN WEEK to understand that YOU CAN MODIFY FUSELAGE BLOCKS (at first i thought that these strange shapes in prebuilt planes are blocks you have to pay to unlock lol, mobile gaming f2p cancer ruined me)
Even if this VITAL mechanic is not even explained!
True. All this feels like a wall that separates the players from the advanced stuff. I left because all advanced stuff is soo hard to learn and so user-unfriendly...
Why not just reuse Vizzy from SimpleRockets? It's programs are way easier to understand and modify. No brackets, just blocks, no typos and syntax errors. And it handles variables, loops etc...
Welp, maybe just switching to simplerockets is the way to go... But they don't have the fuselage slicing... Or do?
@windshifter1

@TheTomatoLover that's a dieselpunkified Bristell RG
+1@MVC no, polygons may be connected, it's the resulting simpleplanes fuselage parts that won't be connected

@Griffon1 suggestion accepted, will make! buys 2 packs for the hadron workpiece
