@Baldeagle086 hey thanks for the spotlight! Here's a few things i have learned:
1. Standardize your gun systems. This creates unity with your designs and saves time. I've used the same 127mm turret for a year now (classic!).
2. Creating a modular, reusable hull, or downloading a pre made one saves a lot of time
3. There are different methods for propulsion, but a combo of stationary jet engines, and gyroscopes for turning, has worked for me.
4. Try to be logical with placement of details. Can a helicopter fit inside if i place the hangar door here? Try to visualize the inside of your ship to make the outside more believable.
Hope this helps :)
@ZYHUnited Absolutely, but this one is outdated and buggy. I would be happy to make an updated one that is the same size as this one instead, if you would like.
@Communistairline @JackTheBestBoss @Wahoo12 @Colonel1J2R3Wolf @jamesPLANESii @aguy @FETUKH @Dllama4 @SangerAircraft thanks for the final push into golden territory! I better hurry up on my destroyer for a gold celebration ship
@Datom i was learning as i was making this one, so there were some unnecessary parts in there, but you're right also because it was made before the new damage model.

@Hawkeye156 there is an even distribution of the guns front and back, and the superstructure is in a good location
@Hawkeye156 the design has a nice balance to it
well this is the best destroyer with 500mm guns i have ever seen. well done
destroyer? looks like a battleship to me
wish i had seen this before i'd published my destroyer
looks great
Cool beans
What sorcery is this?!?!
Nice
Does anyone have ideas on improving the torpedo launchers?
@StogiepatrickMC thanks for the upvote! I think eternal darkness invented the flare gun
love it!
any update on the contest?
gorgeous
+1hey you made gold! congrats!
Just remember that the center of mass has to be in front of the center of lift
@Z0NE i started in the air
This is awesome
@ZYHUnited Ok, I am eager to see it
@Wahoo12 They are all in the back. The ship is specialized in anti ship/ground
Very nice

@Datom Thanks! The American 5in twin turrets are favorite turrets of all time, so i wanted to make a stealth turret inspired by them
@Wahoo12
My entry is posted
Congrats on the feature!
@Wahoo12 ..............yikes. Also I recently found out that number is the length of an iowa class 16in/50. Double yikes
@Dllama4 well i hope this mysterious person has success with them
@aguy
@GermanWarMachine No one told me this before! My whole life has been a lie!
can I upload a ship that I have already made? I have updated and strengthened the weapons system on it and has around 700 parts @Wahoo12
This looks great!
@aguy hi, i am currently working on it, would something the size of this work? https://www.simpleplanes.com/a/1mIYfX/Steadfast-class-Missile-Boat
Very nice looking
@IanTheCuberGamer to answer that i believe the deck plates are modded to be larger
+1@ThomasRoderick yup, thats a good point. One of the challenges of shipbuilding, for sure
+1@TheFlyingDerp yep. You can put the cockpit on rotators for 360 coverage too
@TheFlyingDerp example: https://www.simpleplanes.com/a/D0TimH/Resolute-class-Attack-Frigate
@TheFlyingDerp you stick them on the deck of a simpleplanes ship, then use your cockpit as radar to fire them
@aguy do you think a scaled down version of this one would work? or should i make a new design?
@aguy ask away
nice detail
Fantastic ship
all on ios....fantastic!
you had my upvote at cat pictures
+2@Datom that's a good idea after my current project i will
@Datom for my newer ships i end up simplifying the hull anyways so it's great that you posted this
