  • CLOSED WWII bomber challenge 3.6 years ago

@MrGreen how would a plane pass the attack phase if it ends when critical damage is sustained, any aircraft will eventually get to that point no matter how armored it is.

    Nice SOLG

  • f-15E war Bomber 4.0 years ago

This looks like an A-10 Warthog, also, I notice you use names that real aircraft have used, such as the F-15 (which is an air superiority fighter by the way)

@WiniMii I believe it is one of the ones I uploaded. https://www.simpleplanes.com/a/IQe4v8/SOLG-With-Detonation

  • Brickjet 2.0 years ago

I was going to say that this flies like a brick, but it’s actually got an impressive roll rate, and pitch ain’t bad either.

  • B-30A Velocifortress 3.5 years ago

    Thanks @MrGreen

  • A24 3.6 years ago

@IceCraft pitch controls are too close to center of mass

  • A24 3.6 years ago

Issue 1: controls not working, mainly because they don’t have enough leverage
Issue 2: control instability, center of mass to far back
Issue 3: auto destruct upon landing gear retraction, landing gear clips through missiles.

  • Still long way go to space 3.6 years ago

Well you made it Just above the middle of the stratosphere, space starts at around 10,000 km and the stratosphere ends at 50km you reached 41km, try using over xml’d engines, that might get you into the mesosphere.

  • AIF-3 3.6 years ago

@NuriButOnlyChallengesHere I believe the majority of the Supermissiles in the challenge are as a response to another lightspeed missile equipped plane, when I modified my entry I saw XML missiles as the only hope to survive past the early rounds.

  • Relampago F-39X Broken Python 3.6 years ago

@SPMTB If possible I would like to enter this version of the F-39 instead of the older one, if not it’s fine.

  • Relampago F-39X Broken Python 3.6 years ago

@SPMTB I know I already submitted an aircraft, but I would like to switch to this one due to the capabilities of other aircraft in the competition. If not that is fine too.

@CaptainRex123 sure if you want to post a re-skin you can

  • What I’m working on 3.9 years ago

I may experience delays, unfortunately filling gaps is time consuming as well as tweaking flight prefomance

  • What I’m working on 3.9 years ago

The plane is almost done, just need to work on the wings, details and cockpit.

  • Many plane 3.9 years ago

Either way, it’s a unique idea and I appreciate the attempt

  • Many plane 3.9 years ago

If this is a mix of every plane on earth where are the forward swept wings of the x-29 and su-47 or variable geometry wings like the F-14? Does this have features of the Mirage?

I dunno man, this seems more like a mix of a mig-15 and mig-17 with a hint of f-104

@Jwpdaviesjr just a quick question, when are winners going to be announced?

  • F-30A Falchion (Fighter Jet Challenge) (Fixed) 3.9 years ago

@AndrePlaysSP that’s fair, I forgot to mention that it’s better to turn using trim while at high speed

  • fixed and rebuilt f-22 3.9 years ago

Here is the “fixed” old f-22 https://www.simpleplanes.com/a/tWy9F5/MajorBro2323-s-F-22-Raptor-fixed-mostly

  • fixed and rebuilt f-22 3.9 years ago

I tried to fix your old F-22, I hope that’s fine with you. @MajorBro2323

  • F-22 raptor new 3.9 years ago

@MajorBro2323 here is my attempt at fixing this: https://www.simpleplanes.com/a/tWy9F5/MajorBro2323-s-F-22-Raptor-fixed-mostly

  • F-22 raptor new 3.9 years ago

I noticed that you fixed the runway turning, however you did add a gyroscope, which I tried telling you would not help. Roll thrust vectoring is now even more broken, and the bottom of one of the intakes fall off. I will attempt to correct these issues, I’ll make sure to credit you

  • XF-07 Jupiter 4.0 years ago

I just realized that it sorta resembles a. SU-47

  • XF-07 Jupiter 4.0 years ago

Pretty nice plane, I had a hard time preforming post stall maneuvers at low speed because I couldn’t recover fast enough, however it is a great aircraft. Also, Very nice paint job, a nice combination of Sol 1's colors and Galm 2's colors

  • YK-553 Locus Remake 4.0 years ago

Why does this resemble an XFA-33? Did you take inspiration from it?

  • F-22 Raptor 4.0 years ago

It’s an ok build, you can probably improve the air intakes a bit, and maybe make the wing edges not square. I do like the maneuverability, however your thrust vectoring is backwards for roll. Also, it appears as if you are using gyros, try to avoid those on planes. For whatever reason, at least on IOS this plane wants to point north on the runway, even if the runway is facing mostly south.

  • F-30A Falchion (Fighter Jet Challenge) (Fixed) 4.0 years ago

This plane has a mild allergy to auto pilot, but it can still sorta fly on autopilot, it won’t necessarily crash, but it is flown better manually. Also note this is the final version

  • F-30A Falchion (Fighter Jet Challenge) (broken version) 4.0 years ago

I understand that the missiles are broken, I’m working on that

  • F-30A Falchion (Fixed) 4.0 years ago

In my experience testing this plane, it seems to be allergic to autopilot. I also fixed the roll issue when the plane has one missile

  • F-30A Falchion (Fighter Jet Challenge) (broken version) 4.0 years ago

In my experience testing this plane, it seems to be allergic to autopilot.

  • FJ51 "Seahorse" 4.1 years ago

@MajorSix the seafire first flew in 1942 and it used a griffon engine, so it’s basically a more American version of the seafire

Edit: I just realized that I’m about 2 months late

  • MiG-32 Fissure-A 4.8 years ago

@Mustang51 actually there was a plane with the designation MiG-8 therefore having an even designation number https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mikoyan-Gurevich_MiG-8
