@Clawsome Previous streams have been done on Jundroo's twitch channel. I don't know for sure if this one will be on twitch as well, but it seems likely.
@SUPERSAMROCK No problem, dude! You're developing a pretty unique building style, your planes handle well, and you're obviously putting effort into your creations. You deserve more points!
As an XML modder, I fully support the idea of banning XML mods from future tournaments. Those of us who can mod definitely have an unfair advantage. You just can't get competitive speeds with unmodded engines.
A large number of users do not speak English as their first language and are probably giving it their best shot, or using some janky online translator.
Looks great! If you're still looking for info I may be able to help, I've got a big ol' book at home with details on about 3500 planes. I'll check to see if this is in it later today!
@AndrewGarrison I've actually noticed a couple things in testing The Cheat on Daredevil, very rarely a ring that was clearly passed through counts as "missed." I think it's probably going too fast for the game to register the cockpit as passing through the ring?
Also do you think the AI could be "smarter" if it tried to intersect the vertical plane of the ring as close to perpendicular as possible?
Bummer on the tournament! It'll give me some more time to refine my entry though. I kinda rushed this entry to make the deadline and it's not quite finishing the daredevil laps consistently.
@JetstreamAeronauticalEngineering 1:10 is really good! Is that manual control time or AI time? Your Jet Stream 5 was making runs in the 1:49 range last night. I can't release my time data just yet, but I will say that I was consistently beating the JS5 and had to use Skua's Reiver (1:24) to pace instead. However, I've been having problems with the AI not being able to handle certain sections of the course. It feels like the 'learning' process takes a while. I still wish we had more details about how the AI worked.
Skua said a more refined version of the Reiver is in the works for this week's stream, so I'm excited to see how it does.
I've been using your Jet Stream 5 and @Skua 's Reiver to pace my own tournament entry. It's not ready yet, but it is coming along pretty well and I very much look forward to this competition. :)
From what I've observed, most of the planes that get featured are things that are creative, innovative in some way, or very highly detailed. Big warships and spacecrafts seem to be pretty popular features these days.
@FlyingPancake1 Haha, no worries friend. You at least repainted and put working torpedos on it, this guy just thew on some stock 500lb bombs and called it better, and that's blatant copying. And I know for a fact without even flying it that the weight is going to screw up the balance.
Realistically controlled helicopters are definitely a challenge. I find that it helps if you use XML modding to limit the range of your rotators to just a few degrees. 15° is a huge amount of movement for a heli rotor and makes things very twitchy. Also if you're controlling yaw with a variable-pitch tail prop, the pitch range scale only needs to be like 2-3%
And I would recommend overpowering a small prop engine instead of a turboprop, because the turboprop takes much longer to spool up/down in response to throttle position.
@mustafanaveed I do, occasionally! I'm not very good at it though, I refuse to pay any money to Gaijin so I'm still grinding my way through Tier III, and only on the Brit planes so far.

Guys, "As soon as I can" means that he doesn't know how long it'll be. Chill out, be patient.
Here's some proof of the time.
One of the faster entries I've seen. You've got a good chance at this.
:)

Is the tournament single elimination? i.e. you crash/lose one heat and you're out?

As a resident of Denver, all I have to say is "WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO"
I watched it. Was not impressed.
It needs to be a direct link to the image, not the imgur gallery page.
But also it looks like .gifv doesn't embed properly. Try something else.
@Gg1234 Check @Skua 's post in these comments, putting a .gif in is the exact same process as putting an image in!

@Gg1234 @AeroAvionics23 You guys should post links so he can find them easier!

Excited for the announcements though!
@Skua Hahahaha yup
@bjac0 Ignorance of the rules is no excuse for violation of said rules. If that worked I would get away with murder a lot more often.
@bjac0 It's entirely your fault, you must agree to the terms when you create your account. Goodbye!
@bjac0 Fun fact: The minimum age for using this website is 13. It says so right here in the privacy policy.
@JetstreamAeronauticalEngineering Hot damn that thing's fast!

Beautiful. Watch out for toasters!
I am quite interested in a bracketed tournament race.
@O5c444r I adjusted the properties of the rotors in the heli's XML file.
There's a good chance that better intakes are already in development. We'll see when they release the next beta.
Tomatoes don't belong in guacamole, you communist.
@AnarchistAerospaceIndustries that's literally the opposite of anarchism.
But good luck with your little marketplace, bro. I'm sure an economy based on the honor system and a powerless currency will do just fine.
You know, for an Anarchist, you sure have a lot of rules.
The swashplate design is incredible!
@FlyingPancake1 Go ahead and keep it! I get points for it too :)

@Blueshark03 Hey dude thanks for looking out, but I'm fine with this one!
Although I would also dispute the claim that the original was unstable.
And thus the lesson of keeping certain personal details to yourself was learned.
@Rohan Is your username at all related to the Rohan in Lord of the Rings? If so, there's tons of lore to pull cool names from.
Looks great, can't wait to fly it!

@Azrael This picture says otherwise
No but seriously, check out this album. It just takes a little bit of practice.
ABSOLUTELY NOT.
Very realistic! This is seriously one of my favorite builds ever.
The best car.........in the world.
