@ChiChiWerx
No, CCW, but there ought to be: The Tempest's rudder got reversed somewhere along the line, so a fix is due. No one has seemed to notice, but maybe that's because the keyboard's binary nature tends to laterally upset a plane rather than guide it. Whatever the case, I've spent much time trying to hone my rudders into competent control surfaces with little success.
@ChiChiWerx
Pardon me if this isn't what you're asking, but there are three parts, a standard block and two angled corners, which were compressed along the X-axis.
Rudder controls got inverted during a last-minute mirror operation. If this bothers anyone (perhaps those using joysticks) as much as it does me, I'll re-post.
@Johawks1976
A Yak-1 or Yak-9 might have been a better choice for their more interesting geometries, but there were already some outstanding examples of those.
@BOBCAT
I did for about a month a couple of years ago, but all I did was make skins.

What a surprise.
@jamesPLANESii
The F4U is hard to argue with, James, and its gear and wings would take some planning, but there are many strong examples already. What would you think about a Typhoon or Sea Fury?
@ChiChiWerx
Judging by how you arrayed your thoughts, the answers to these will have occurred to you already, but:
1. Is it in the spirit of SIMPLEplanes for a model to be as complex as this?
2. Should uninspired mimicry, as I've done here, be praised?
For anyone else reading this -- and if the answer to #2 is Yes -- ChiChiWerx has built the coolest replica of the coolest plane of all time, The Valkyrie!

@BogdanX
I edited my answer after seeing your account and realizing I was over-explaining. I agree 100%. I only learned what I did after spending an hour trying to get the piston to work as it advertises it ought to work.
@BogdanX
It's cosmetic only, fixed on one end, but it's timed it to slowly recoil so that it doesn't protrude from the fuselage as the carriage is drawn inside.
@realluochen9999
Second only to the Corsair's perhaps, landing gear was no afterthought on the Airacobra. These are a bit stiff though, so land gingerly.

+1飞身体健康。
@ForeverPie
Nice L-1011! Oh, what could have been . . .

@Zerokiller3
Thanks for your feedback, Zero. My suspicion was that it was unsuitable -- or unfriendly at least -- to handhelds.
@JoddyFubuki788
I use an MacBook too and a text editor. There's not much of a difference, but the cooling fans on the Mac sure hiss like the dickens.
I'm upvoting -- even though it doesn't catastrophically explode on the pad.
This thing moves when standing still!
This is some extraordinary work, Bacon.
@RMark1
THAT'S why I can't spotlight sometimes. Oblivious me.
Badass Prowler!
@AndrewGarrison
Back at you.
(I'm slow. I sort of hibernate sometimes.)
@Synthex4060
It's up now if you'd like to take a look. Fly high.
@ACMECo1940
Done (if you still care). It took longer than expected. I "needed" authentic period rockets, and I'm no weapon specialist.
You've got class.
@ChiChiWerx
Pardon me if this isn't what you're asking, but there are three parts, a standard block and two angled corners, which were compressed along the X-axis.
@Synthex4060
Hey, thanks! LOVE your Saabs by the way. Peculiar shapes on wheels and on the wing.
I'll make a Typhoon this weekend hopefully.
@ChaMikey
Dang! Sky-high praise from the likes of you. "Dear diary . . . "
Lovely. Stable. Clever.

@Baldovino Perhaps its only edge.

Thank you. Fly high and healthy.
Was trying to keep the poly count down somewhere, but yeah.
@ACMECo1940
OK, I made a Tempest first, b/c I became intrigued by its wings, but a Typhoon will follow.
@ACMECo1940
I've been out of it for a while. How about a Typhoon or Tempest?
@Johawks1976

I know it's just an engine test, but what lies aft is sharp. Please keep going if you're feeling it.
@ChaMikey
I offer my consent. I shan't watch.

@CaesiciusPlanes
Tell me when you post, Caesicius, so I don't miss it.
@CALVIN232
Like the real thing? Same here! Although I'm afraid I'm not up to the task, Calvin, but you've got good taste.
@jamesPLANESii

@CALVIN232
Sure, Calvin, but there are many here who know (and read their notifications) more than I do.
@Othawne
Yaks are so strangely beautiful to begin with, you know?
@TTHHSSSS
You haven't looked around hard enough, but I thank you just the same.

I was considering building one, but there's no sense now. Well done.
@Destroyer5713
Obliged! You might check out the F variant I just submitted. It's more capable, if less graceful.
Your effort shows all over!

Please direct your praise to Bell's engineers.
@coolhand83
That's for the illusion of a filleted sweep into the fuselage, but you're right.
@clayman0
Then that makes you my first.
@Tigerfan99
I haven't shot down any. Flight lessons, ace?
Favorite aircraft of all time, and you nailed it.

Right, the muzzle must be within apx 1' of the blades.
