@Scriefers There are modded detachers inside the missiles on this plane, the ones farthest out. They are 1000% power. They are hidden within the rotator blocks.

Like Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade

  • McDonnell Douglas F/A-18 Hornet by SR 9.5 years ago

Just awesome. I congratulate you on the footage from your video because it was really difficult to regain control once you performed an acrobatic manoeuvre.

  • Shenyang J-31 Gyrfalcon 9.5 years ago

    Seemed stable to me.

  • Iron Man 9.6 years ago

This is unbelievable and i just had to watch Iron Man again last night because of you posting this. So awesome.

  • Northrop Grumman B2 Spirit 9.6 years ago

    That's a great replica of the B-2.

  • Panavia Tornado GR4 9.6 years ago

@Scriefers I've only recently dabbled with using projections and bombs so haven't come across this limitation yet. Is this with structural wings too?

  • Panavia Tornado GR4 9.6 years ago

I still might make a new F-15 for you @WeeBabySeamus because I know you like that plane.

  • Panavia Tornado GR4 9.6 years ago

    Thank you all for the great feedback. @thealban @JacobHardy64 @Wakescar @Allstarship @Eric314 @WeeBabySeamus @DethFromAbove @Scriefers @thedocholiday

  • Cruise Missile by SR 9.6 years ago

Really cool, love the way the wings extend.

  • Panavia Tornado GR4 9.6 years ago

@Eric314 I forgot to add the nose spike. I've also noticed I have lost the red from the RCN'S which is a shame but too late to delete and repost again now. If you can edit xml then change the second material of all 4 RCN'S to 8 instead of -3.

  • Focke Wulf TA-400 9.6 years ago

Brilliant bomber, love the nuke bay.

  • Ugh...My First 9.6 years ago

What a piece of crap. ..I love it! It's great to see how much people have improved since their first builds. Also it's not a piece of crap, I was just joking. :)

  • Thanks 9.6 years ago

    Keep the planes coming.

  • Experiments in thrust vectoring 9.6 years ago

    Inspirational work.

  • 6 Legs Robot (experiment) 9.6 years ago

Really strange, I was recently working on a robotic spider but it worked with rotating the right control. This is awesome though, the key to making a robotic walker working it definitely to have for than 4 legs.

  • Sukhoi Su-35/Su-27M 9.6 years ago

No problem Allstarship, you're welcome to use any parts.

  • Sukhoi Su-35/Su-27M 9.6 years ago

Looks great and flies really smoothly.

  • A-6 Intruder 9.6 years ago

    Beautiful replica.

  • Aircraft launching system V2.0 9.6 years ago

The only problem was after I was finished using it, there was 4 wrecked planes at the end of my runway! :p Works perfectly though, very cool design.

  • S.H.I.E.L.D. Helicarrier 9.6 years ago

I can't fly it, but I have to give you 5 stars for just making it and making it so well. Good work.

  • Aircraft launching system!!! 9.6 years ago

    Really cool idea.

  • Grumman F-14D Super Tomcat 9.6 years ago

@TheLatentImage I haven't used hangouts before but if I find time I'll use it. I was thinking of writing up a guide, should only take a couple of days to put something together.

  • Grumman F-14D Super Tomcat 9.6 years ago

    Lol @OminousGloom

  • Grumman F-14D Super Tomcat 9.6 years ago

@CorvetteCole Multiplayer would be good, but I have the impression it's a big task. That's why the developers left it for now to look at other things. Making multiply planes works though so for a quick boost I'd ask the developers of they would share the code they had so far of it helps.

  • Grumman F-14D Super Tomcat 9.6 years ago

@Rohan For modding it's C# so I would expect it' all the same code.

  • F-35 9.6 years ago

It's badass. The cause of your slightly left turn are the top, bottom wings and the small wing at the back connected to the engine thruster housing. Naturally from having so much power I was expecting the plane to wobble on take off, there is only one way to over come that and that is creating opposite drag on the top of the plane to counter the gears being down also attached to the same VTOL command.

  • Piaggio P.180 9.6 years ago

I downloaded it, I liked it, I rated it! 5*

  • Grumman F-14D Super Tomcat 9.6 years ago

@CorvetteCole I've recently switched to Mac, and with my old PC wouldn't have been able to mod anyway due to it's rather shoddy performance. The MAC is much better. Philip has done a great tutorial on the forums which has really helped me understand how modding is going to work. I will be new to C# but use VBA and SQL at work all the time and have am aptitude for learning code so it shouldn't be long before I get the feel for it.

  • The Zeppelin 9.6 years ago

    @DragonCreations Sure, anything in particular?

  • Grumman F-14D Super Tomcat 9.6 years ago

@CorvetteCole Do you think there will be support for modding on Mac? Or will that need to be jail broken too?

  • Grumman F-14D Super Tomcat 9.6 years ago

@WeeBabySeamus You are truly a star. I hope you have had a great first day at your new job, and aren't intimidating your colleagues too much with those byceps! Don't feature too many of my planes at once though will you, you'll get a disciplinary for being bias! :p

  • Grumman F-14D Super Tomcat 9.6 years ago

@DragonCreations Sorry, they were intended to be missiles but are not fast enough to release properly. They are going forward but appear to go back as they are much slower than the airplane and also the drag makes them turn. They are symettrical though so possibly dropping the detacher power to 0 will release them in a straight line.

  • Grumman F-14D Super Tomcat 9.6 years ago

@TheLatentImage For sure. Are you on the reddit forums, I could post something there with a tutorial.

  • Grumman F-14D Super Tomcat 9.6 years ago

@TheLatentImage Yes, editing xml's, but I'm also on Android and do 90% of my xml editing on my mobile device because I find it easier. I use Turbo Editor which is a free text editor. I usually only edit the _editor_ file so not to lose the save file if I do something wrong. Once i make a change and want to see the effect, I close the simpleplanes app and reload.

  • Grumman F-14D Super Tomcat 9.6 years ago

@Zealot5layer It's the platform for simpleplanes, and with it you can create new mods like new games, maps etc. Eventually parts too.

  • Grumman F-14D Super Tomcat 9.6 years ago

Thanks @Zealot5layer , I clearly have a fan in you. I will keep the planes coming with as many fun features packed in as possible, but at some point I'm going to have to stop making planes for a while so I can get my hands dirty in the Unity5 modding world...real mods!

  • Grumman F-14D Super Tomcat 9.6 years ago

@TheLatentimage Modded rotator block. They have a -1 min and 1 max rotational range. Max is up and min is down while the block inversion is false, opposite when the block is inverted. Simply set one of these figures to 0 for the direction you don't want it to go in. I've been using it for a while now on such things as bomb bay doors to ensure they can't be used incorrectly.

  • Grumman F-14D Super Tomcat 9.6 years ago

@Zealot5layer I beg to differ, I think Screifers is well deserving of all his points, he is a great builder and inspires me. He also doesn't mod xml's to my knowledge so all of his builds are done only in the editor.

  • Grumman F-14D Super Tomcat 9.6 years ago

    lol

  • Grumman F-14D Super Tomcat 9.6 years ago

@Zealot5layer No problem, do me a favour though, set the small wing detachers under the body to 20%, I've noticed the missiles tend to collide with the body of the plane in some maneuvers assuming the user doesn't use activators 4 and 5 before 2 and 3.

  • Embraer EMB 314 Super Tucano 9.6 years ago

@Superdude hehe, well actually the other way around. I made this first then used the body to create my P51D. There are some significant differences in the design though, and this is a real modern day combat aircraft that has only be on service for a couple of years.

  • Yokosuka MXY7 Ohka 9.6 years ago

Great plane. A little sensitive on the pitch but I like feeling like I'm flying on the edge.

  • General Dynamics F-16C Fighting Falcon 9.6 years ago

    @Zealot5layer No problem.

  • Lockheed Jetstar 9.6 years ago

"Elvis has left the building!". Good build. A bit scary to begin with when I went full throttle at the start and did a wheelie. I was more subtle on my second attempt. Once in the air it flew really nice, and I kept level flight with a slight adjustment to the VTOL. I know how hard it is to get this particular airplane flying straight due to the positioning of the main engines as I've made one myself.

  • General Dynamics F-16C Fighting Falcon 9.6 years ago

@Zealot5layer I'm going to blow that house up to smithereens!

  • Rc zero 9.6 years ago

I was thinking of doing this when I was trying to create a small plane for my zeppelin. I left the cockpit on the ground while the plane flew about but on my phone the plane was too small to see properly. I really want to try this but it keeps blowing up when I load it, I'll try it on my phone but 5 stars for the build regardless.

  • General Dynamics F-16C Fighting Falcon 9.6 years ago

    Very cool

  • 747 with built-in hidden rocket launcher 9.6 years ago

Very cool. Good implementation of the auto rocket system and pointing it down. Always good to know that when I'm flying abroad the plane I'm in has a rocket launcher to fend off them flying pirates!
