@GeneralOliverVonBismarck Yep, I’m not entirely sure what causes the wheel shake, although I’ve tried to fix it at several points along the build process. The soldiers certainly take some getting used to; they don’t work well on terrain that has a high slope. I’m not sure what device you’re on, but the controls are definitely better suited for PC.
Firstly, if you want it to turn, put in two different engines, one for the left side and one for the right. Set the left engine to be activated with the VTOL lever and the right engine to be activated with the Trim lever.
Once you've done that, the second thing you can do is to set the turret traverse to roll and the gun elevation and depression to pitch, which should make it easier to maneuver quickly.
@TheLazyFlyer
Actually, it is; I believe that if you take off from Yeager Airport with a heading of around 325-330, you should see it on your right. I'd recommend taking a very fast plane, as it's far away.
@deusalgor
Ah, I didn't see that it was made on windows. On mobile, the thumbstick for roll and pitch makes it really easy (since there's an entire thumbstick dedicated to the turret controls)
Really liking the look and detail of this tank! One suggestion: if you use the roll and pitch controls for the turret traverse and the gun angle, it'll probably be easier to use. Definitely a keeper, though!
Just watched your video on youtube; if you continue playing, you'll likely be much improved in building and flying. For instance, if you compare my first upload and my more recent ones, you can certainly see the difference in skill!
Hope you do more videos on this!
Do you mind if I post my own version of this, but without the cockpits? I got the weight down to zero pounds (without the cockpits), and I'll be sure to credit you!
Can our submissions be land vehicles? Also, if I use the same basic framework of another upload, can it still participate? (If I used the wheels and basic chassis that I use for some other things and built a completely new body on top of it, for instance)
@swat132
I actually meant to do that at first, but I learned that the cutoff for mobile devices is around 800 parts, but I might make a smaller version (once I finish getting this to fly)
@mikoyanster Thanks! I actually used your tank test maps extensively while trialing this thing, so I’m glad you like it!
@logizAircrafts Thanks for the info! I’m still working on getting the hang of XML, but I’ll definitely try that on my next build!
Thanks for the upvotes/comments, everyone!

@vincentwwwwww
Lol, yep— it ended up being the only way to reliably get him back in the helicopter; the faster movement speed was just a bonus!
I was really basing the design off of the M48 Patton that's in WoT as the tier 10 American medium tank
Feel free to look at the last tank I uploaded if you need a reference!
A couple of suggestions I'd make:

Jesus, this thing is so old
Maybe make some actual changes before reposting?
That would be great, especially since every tank track I've come across has been massive, unrealiable, slow, and lagtastic.
Ayyy, it's my favorite tier 4!
@AndrewGarrison, @joeysellers, @goboygo1, @JMicah4
Thanks for all the rejuvinated interest in this, guys!
Might not be able to watch the livestream, but here's one I did:
https://www.simpleplanes.com/a/lqw6Wg/Steampunk-Tank
You're cranking these tanks out faster than the Soviets did!
Really liking this one, and turret controls are perfect!

@WalrusAircraft
No problem; I think it was just the two of us!
It's fine! The guy who put it with the city in the first place put the credit in the comments and not the description! @WalrusAircraft
Also, the large house in the back is originally mine, too.
Check some of my later cargo planes/bombers. They might be able to do it.
If you try out some of mine, they may not work (as some do rely on a few bugs that may have been patched in the most recent update)
You do have it easy, though; before the update that came out today, we had to make our own weapons!

Those wings seem rather crowded!
Certainly smaller than mine, lol!
Bonus points for actual tracks?
@ProKillaV12
That's fine; thanks!
Again, the big building in the back is my "Simple Apartment" upload. Credit would be much appreciated.
Um, hate to say this, but the building in the middle is my "Simple Apartment" upload. If you could give credit, that would be great.
@DeezDucks
Thanks! I actually had no idea that I had gotten it!

These are MY tracks. Credit where it is due, please?
Again, these are my tracks with a few modifications
Excuse me, but these look rather suspiciously like the tracks on my tanks, with the exact same design and number of sections. Credit, please?
Really liking the design of this
@Blooddawn
Yeah, Exumer is a really nice guy, but given that he commented zero seconds after you posted it, he just didn't read the description
@Exumer
Erm, you might want to read the description
@Wormforce
Just in case you wanted to see the tank
@XVIdarkLithium
I would've imagined that it would've taken longer to burn through several hundred million gallons of fuel...
@Wormforce
Ok, I'll just upload my tank separately
Can our submissions be land vehicles? Also, if I use the same basic framework of another upload, can it still participate? (If I used the wheels and basic chassis that I use for some other things and built a completely new body on top of it, for instance)
I love using this to blow up my apartment building
@Awesomepico
You can save one as a subassembly and put it into any other one you want
@swat132
I actually meant to do that at first, but I learned that the cutoff for mobile devices is around 800 parts, but I might make a smaller version (once I finish getting this to fly)
Okay, thanks
Nevermind again; apparently, it's much too big for a mobile device...
(Despite the fact that I created it on an iPad)
But if you want to see it, I can tag you in a comment when I upload it
Actually, nevermind. It only has 48000 drag points
