Very unstable, but a very pretty build and a nice effort on your part.

Hiryu, Soryu, Akagi, Kaga, Shokaku or Zuikaku...which one is it?

  • Bradley-Davies Gladiator 6.4 years ago

Nimble, (realistically) fast, lethal, disposable, the robots are going to kill us all. I hate drones (RPAs). Nice build, accelerates s bit swiftly, would turn a human pilot into goo, but I’m sure the positronic brain would survive the Gs...

  • North American F-100D Super Sabre 6.4 years ago

@Alien thank you, sir! I’m glad you like it.

  • Douglas A-20G Havoc 6.4 years ago

@RASEN1914 not sure about the realistic ammo load...try it out and see, I’m thinking about doing the same thing on my F-100 build for an air to ground version

  • Remember the 767 Squish? Well there’s a new one coming soon. 6.4 years ago

Ya know...not to be snarky or anything, but the 72’ had a “T” tail...

  • Twin Commander 695B 6.4 years ago

Very nice, extremely photo realistic. I like it.

  • Douglas A-20G Havoc 6.4 years ago

If I may ask you a couple of more questions concerning modifying guns in SP?: What units are you using for muzzle velocity? The default value is "800", but is that meters per second? I see you changed yours to "890". Also, how did you determine burstCount and timeBetweenBursts and why did you go for .7 on the spread? Thanks in advance!

  • Douglas A-20G Havoc 6.4 years ago

Great build, very fun to fly...strafing ability against convoy vehicles is impressive and satisfying. I assume you reduced bullet spread? Anyway, great replica build!

  • YA-9 6.4 years ago

You’re on iOS, but this build is very mod-heavy. One mod which would probably helped your realism for this one would have been to cut the engine power; this build accelerates like it has a Saturn V rocket strapped to it!

  • yet another p-51 replica to add to the innumerable amount already on this site 6.5 years ago

Looks good so far...not really partial to the canopy outline thing unless there’s a functional cockpit underneath because it’s unnecessary unless there is. Is the tailwheel going to retract as it did in RL?

  • YA-9 6.5 years ago

Interesting. Everyone builds the A-10 and no one remembers its competitor in the CAS competition. The A-9 was itself much more similar to the Su-25 in concept, which itself is a fairly useful and robust aircraft. I’m sure the A-9 would have done fine in its intended role, but the A-10 was the superior aircraft at the time.

@MoonKnight glad you like it! I’m also in that area.

  • Bristol Beaufighter Mk.Ic 6.5 years ago

Oh my, this thing is so much fun! Attacking the convoy was great, though it didn’t go so well for Flt Lt Archibald A. Archlighter, RAF, V.C. (Posthumous) and Flt Sgt Bob Smith, RAF, D.F.C. (Posthumous). Their aircraft went down alongside the Nazi convoy they were attacking...I wish I could Spotlight this one, but you have more points than I do!

  • How do i make custom landing gear 6.5 years ago

Also depends if you're building on iOS or PC or Android. XML modification, either by going to the aircraft file or using the Overload mod to the basic SP program is not possible if you're on iOS. You'll have to disable collisions and set a rotator to "LandingGear", not possible to do yourself on iOS. However, if you're on PC or Android, you should be able to make the mods necessary for custom landing gear. However, if on iOS, you may be able to do what @F104Deathtrap says, use the gear from his or another builder's creation, change as necessary and stick it on yours.

  • Ar 460 United 6.5 years ago

This thing is absolutely bonkers, and I absolutely love it! Great job on the wing, very pretty. I wish this thing were real, it would be magnificent, probably too loud, too big and impractical, but magnificent!

  • Bristol Brabazon 01 6.5 years ago

  • North American F-100D Super Sabre 6.5 years ago

@ArrowheadDesignCompany well, good luck. I graduated pilot training in 1994 and spent 24 years in the USAF. If you want to fly, it’s the service to be in, but you need to avoid RPAs if you can...though an RPA early on may still lead to a cockpit later on. I’ll consider a helo later on, but I take a really time so you might not see it for awhile.

  • F-55A Chimera 6.5 years ago

Crazy maneuverable, I thought I was going to G out, and I wasn’t even actually in the cockpit!

  • North American F-100D Super Sabre 6.5 years ago

@ArrowheadDesignCompany well, at least you read the description all the way to the end...glad you enjoyed it that much. By the way, I always tag that at the end of my builds because my T-37 flight commander always closed his morning briefing by saying exactly that. I then said it to my students through the years.

  • North American F-100D Super Sabre 6.5 years ago

@PhantomBladeCorp it would be the pinnacle of SP hubris to concur with your statement, but I’m happy you like this one ;)

  • North American F-100D Super Sabre 6.5 years ago

@Monsterpro thank you, sir. I see you’re new on the community...there are quite a few excellent builders and builds on this site. The “Hun” was a pretty airplane, especially in the silver metal finish, so it makes a good subject for a replica build. This one is a bit part-heavy, so it can be tough on older devices; can you download it and fly it?
