Very cool! Looks amazing and is well armored. After looking at real life modern MBTs however, I have a few minor suggestions:
Gun doesn't appear to have horizontal or vertical stabilizer, something that could be added.
Turret cannot traverse beyond the engine deck, though this wouldn't usually be an issue.
What I assume is the gunner's sight on the left of the tank's turret seems to be vulnerable, perhaps a periscope would be a better choice?
Viewports? I don't see any driver or commander sights, so I assume the tank is using cameras. In which case, if the cameras were to fail the crew would effectively be blind. Perhaps add some backup sights?
The turret seems to be vulnerable to being shot trapped as is the Leopard 2A7's.
Though being shot trapped against other MBT's with high velocity guns is virtually unheard of, slower velocity cannons could potentially be shot trapped.
These are all minor critiques which I hope is useful as constructive criticism. I apologise if any of this contains misunderstandings or harshness on my part. Overall, a great build that I hope I will see more of.
@Marine The is what I believe what diffuseIntertiaTensors being enabled does:
Since the piston is made of 2 separate objects, the object on the end of the piston moves independently of the main craft, thus taking time to adjust to the heading of the aircraft.
Based on that assumption, if that xml does not work, here's two things you might be able to do:
Use gyros on the end of the piston. It'd be a complex setup, but could potentially work.
Strengthen the connection to the flaps. If you could join another piston connecting the flaps to the wing, then that would probably solve the issue. Of course, connecting this may be an issue.
If anything happens, I'd assume they'd increase yaw stability. Other than that, it's likely nothing would happen, though someone will have to test that.
@Minecraftpoweer Yeah, they're pretty fun to skip. On the more serious note, I've never needed to create a website, so these things are completely foreign to me.
@PhantomBladeCorp Thanks! I think I will be using the wheeled suspension for it's realism and lower part count, though the design you and Minecraftpoweer provided looks the best.
@Minecraftpoweer That's a very nice looking build! I was looking at BogdanX's Calliope and saw the design: I considered it. However I couldn't really find many builds with it and thus lacked references, hence why I didn't mention it.
If you were to fly a plane into a hurricane (don't try this at home), wouldn't the winds be strong enough to give the aircraft lift, without the aircraft actually moving?
If I'm to be honest, 1.8 suggestions are really quite a futile effort, but then I'd be adding nothing to this post. I like the idea of option 3, however option 1 and 2 would most likely require a full recode of some of the game, which isn't really realistic if you ask me...
@belugasub I was surfing through the hottest planes, I found the entry and decided to check out the challenge. Seemed cool, then I realised it was 2 years ago...
Looks good and flies good; really nice! Just one or two nitpicks:
Other than that, superb! Especially like the gun recoil simulation.
+1@jamesamash Yes... Looks like no one else unfortunately.

Cool, personally I preferred Static's but StallFlight's is pretty nice.
@DerekSP Knew it.

Don't pretend you didn't cut out the part where the planes explodes at the end.

+1I just realised this is like a PC only comment section...

Good luck with fixing your issue...
@Marine Should be able to, scroll to the bottom of the list then press the plus sign to add it manually if it's a hidden attribute.
@Marine Some things you could try:
Make the parts on the end of the piston massless.
Remove aircraft collision from the piston and the parts connected to the end of the piston.
Cry because I don't have any other solutions :(
Sorry about the problem, hopefully you can fix it.

Well I guess I could do something...
This is all I've ever wanted from simple planes... Actually, maybe a mod for plane aiming like in WT?
@Minecraftpoweer Yeah, they're pretty fun to skip. On the more serious note, I've never needed to create a website, so these things are completely foreign to me.
As someone who has no idea how to make a website, this completely blew my mind.
@JelloAircraftCorporation Did I just... You didn't... You sir have ruined my life.
Better hope the SPW doesn't sue you :)

Gotta say that I'm sorry about that. Well here's mine.
Coming to War Thunder soon: Tu-8
Cool! Underside looks a bit blue, but I suppose that's to match the SP sky.
Admit it, it's just a 109 with 2 jet engines strapped on.
I guess they learned a thing or two from the Soviets...

@DerekSP @LiamW Alright thanks, I was wondering what people would prefer for upcoming projects.

+1Cool, I wouldn't collab though since I'm already working on a spitfire myself.
Which NASA employee let you borrow their computer?
Hmm, looks like an MD-11
How thicc is the armor on this beast?
@Oski Oh they probably should fix it.
@FastDan Thanks!

+2@Maxwell1 Have you ever thought about a multi month project? Something that you'd slowly build over time while you complete other builds?

Make a DeHavilland Comet?
@belugasub I was surfing through the hottest planes, I found the entry and decided to check out the challenge. Seemed cool, then I realised it was 2 years ago...
So what happens when a bullet hits this plane?
Airdrop this over the enemy base...
I just realised this is a replica and not a fictional aircraft...
I like the idea and the plane itself, but personally I dislike wing struts and bulging cockpits, perhaps make it more sleek?
+1Looks great! But could you clarify the purpose of the winglets infront of the main wing?
How could you lie to me??? You're actually 50.1k...
The pilots gonna need a periscope to see where they're heading...
New plane!

Here or not, he'll always be number one.
