@ThatOneF15Eagle Alright, But the reason the hinges are bouncing is probably because there is to much stress or weight on them. This can usually be fixed by XML (damperMultiplier for JointRotator). If you want, I can mod the hinges for you. If not, I suggest that you put more hinges(not just one for each engine), though I'm not sure if that would work.
@ChiyomiAnzai @Brayplane101 @LancasterAce I am sorry, but there have been some events that happened today that will delay my post of this build. But I assure you, this will be posted tomorrow when I get back from school
@Mustang51 there is an abs() function, which basically makes any value inside positive. So it would be like abs(AngleOfAttack)>2.5. I f you only want it to activate on specifically positive AoA, then just reverse it, like (-AngleOfAttack)>2.5. Also, any boolean expression(stuff that has =,>,&, etc.) will output boolean true or false, which translates to +1 and -1 in numerical expressions. So you should probably clamp01() the expression if you only want it to output 0 and 1.
@enemyofgod666 hmmm really? Are you sure? This plane is a lot simpler to learn than an actual F-16, and those things are relatively easy compared to others from the same era(I dunno, but I have been flying the F-16 a lot on a certain simulator). I don't know what "planes" you've been flying but, actual aircraft take a lot more studying to fly. My planes try to be realistic, like this(now at least). If you don't like realism(which, judging by the way you make your planes, you probably dont), you should probably just not look at my builds then. If you're concerned about the upvotes, well tough luck buddy. People will upvote what they want. In my opinion though, you should care a lot less about upvotes and more about building what you want anyway.
@enemyofgod666 hey man, constructive criticism only. If you can't tell me what's wrong with it without getting mad, maybe you should keep it to yourself
Did you know: You can edit the xml of a structural wing to allow it to have control surfaces! Super useful when your aircraft is to heavy and the normal wings flop around too much
Starting the plane:
1. Activate the Battery(PWR switch)
2. Activate the Parking Brake(optional)
3. Set Engine to Idle and turn on Flight Systems
4. Start the JFS(Don't take too long or the battery will die)
5. Wait for the Engine to spool up(will be indicated by the master caution)
6. Reset the master warning and caution lights
Using Autopilot:
1. Cycle Set Mode to Autopilot
2. Turn on the keypad
3. Input Heading(3 numbers, press enter after)
4. Input Altitude(5 numbers, press enter after)
5. Click Activate on the ICP
6. Turn on autopilot(Activate1 or the switch on the FBW control panel)
7. If you want to change the heading and altitude, just press "Deactivate", press "Clear" and repeat steps 3 to 5
Weapons:
1. Activate Master Arm(Activate 2 or the switch)
2. That's it
ILS:
1. Make sure at least one of the screens is on ILS
2. Select a runway using the 4 buttons bellow the keypad
3. The glideslope is the circles on the left
4. The localizer is the circles at the bottom
5. The marker beacon is indicated by the "+" sign
Takeoff and Landing:
1. Make sure the switch is set correctly to either takeoff or landing(was too lazy to make this automatic. Also, switches are cool)
2. The "Flight System" needs to be on in order to extend/retract the landing gear
Activation groups:
1: Autopilot
2: Master Arm
3: Fuel Probe
4: Formation Lights
5: Nav Lights
6: Afterburner
7: Bay Doors(not needed for firing weapons)
8: AoA Limiter
Thank you to @CptLiar for being a wonderful test pilot. Very detailed testing and amazing suggestions from him! He was also the one who took the screenshots, which are pretty awesome
@BogdanX Ah yeaaaa the canopy is quite bad, but I probably won't change it anymore, sorry. I'm kinda done with this plane. I can't even fly it without constant lag spikes, so I don't really want to spend time fixing it more. Also, I've already had someone take some awesome screenshots for the post, and I don't want to make them do it again. I'll just apply those stuff to the next thing I make. So thanks for the advice!
P.S. How to make the gold plated canopy? What color is it?
@Winterfield Ok I respect that opinion, but I think I'll have to disagree. I think the music fits pretty well with what I was trying to go here. Maybe it's just my bad editing skills xD. Anyway, that's just my opinion as well so...
Also, next time, maybe don't just say "that music tho" because it's really vague to the point where someone might perceive it as disrespectful(or maybe it could just be me, I dunno)
@ThatOneF15Eagle I mean when you do finish the plane, tag me. k?
+1@ThatOneF15Eagle Ok. Also, tag me when you finish the plane. I want to see it

+1Have you considered decreasing the weight of the engines?(or do you not xml mod)

+1@ChiyomiAnzai Right now, i'm finishing the 234/2. But I plan on making the 234/4(for your challenge, if it's ok)
+1@Roswell hahahahaha it is fun to watch. Also I am currently working on something that is a lot more accurate. Thanks for the suggestion!

@ZHUAREVONI OOOh, thanks! I'll use your advise in my future tank builds
+1@DatTrainGuy19 bruh my face too ugly for da internet
@ToeTips no pic yet, I've only started making the wings
@bjac0 yea sure
@Mustang51 try
clamp01((2.5+AngleOfAttack)/30)
. 30 here is the AoA at which the air brake extends fully. Just change it to the number you need@Mustang51 there is an
abs()
function, which basically makes any value inside positive. So it would be likeabs(AngleOfAttack)>2.5
. I f you only want it to activate on specifically positive AoA, then just reverse it, like(-AngleOfAttack)>2.5

*Not really scrapped, more of "put on hold"
Man, so many people making realistic F-5s with detailed cockpits... By so many, I mean like, three. But that's a lot for SP
@TheFlightGuySP Man, if they were, it would have made my life so much easier. Stupid drag equations

I actually thought this was sp
so many people are making tomcats lol
I might join...

@WinsWings Ello, ummm I'd like to know the score I got?

hmmm
RIP KC-10. You will be missed
How will the landing be judged? will you spawn the aircraft as a default ai on final approach?
bruh what even are upvotes

@PyrrhaNikos I... yeaaa. It's a lot smaller though. I keep making my planes way too small
Ferrari The Ferrari
I am gold, and that's good. I will never be plat, and that's not bad. There's no one I'd rather be than me
Ayyoooww thanks everyone! Ya'll have been really great(except for the few Chinese bots in the comment section xD)
@Khanhlam I dunno, @CptLiar was the one who made it like that xD
