...into releasing new projects. The wider audience brought on by YouTubers such as Jelly and Frantic are long gone.
Now, let me make it clear that whilst I think it'd be beneficial for them to do so, I do not think Jundroo's gonna make an SP2 anytime soon since SR2 is their main priority at this point in time.
Firstly, I do not mean to hurt your sentiments, but please let me debunk every single point you just said.
Simple planes is already perfected
No. No, it isn't. SimplePlanes is a game that can never be perfected. It's something akin to Minecraft, wherein content drops can be unlimited and even infinite. Tank tracks, updated engines, a more realistic physics model, actual instruments, interactive funky trees are but a tiny fraction of the spectrum. See this lovely forum post by @BogdanX.
It will not be initially available on iOS
What? Jundroo started developing games on iOS first. That makes no sense.
We don’t want to adjust to new game controls
...said no one ever. Furthermore, SR2 is a game based on rockets and orbiting-mechanics. I believe SimplePlanes 2, if it ever comes out, will have a control schematic very similar to SimplePlanes.
It’s a waste of money for the devs
This is the point that makes me incredibly, incredibly furious, especially since I'm a student of Economics and Commerce, however, I understand your perplexion and will attempt to break it down step-by-step.
1. Making a new game is never a "waste of money". The developer will be investing in a project that will only serve to give them more returns in the future.
2. With a community as dedicated as the one SimplePlanes has, a SP2 will definitely attract a lot of attention and will sell equally as well as SimplePlanes, and will almost certainly surpass it. I will explain the latter in forthcoming points.
3. Jundroo can't keep updating a 5-year old game for free. It doesn't make financial sense. Eventually the cost of maintaining the game will exceed the revenue earned from the website and from the game's sales.
4. Jundroo could've, in my opinion, capitalized on SP release 1.10 to rebrand the SimplePlanes game as SP 2.0, releasing WNP's glass and smoothening as a 1.9.x+1 update. That, however, is a lost opportunity and it doesn't matter anymore. The developers could, conversely, provided they do release a SimplePlanes 2, use this new game and utilize better marketing strategies (partnership with YouTubers, better use of social media, etc.) in order to propagate their game. A relaunch/rebranding/sequel will definitely help SP and will give it a tremendous boost in popularity.
Right now, the game has become a very small, yet close-knit community of individuals who (generally) pour a decent amount of effort into releasing...
@Homemade1 I love wacky flight models which pull 200Gs, that is right up my alley. My concern here is that this is unstable. It wiggles from side to side and pitches whilst rolling and vice versa.
The plane also reached Mach 1 5 seconds after I took off from Bandit.
It's been a while since I interacted with you, fam, so, nice to see you again.
Onto your build.
Pros.
1. Nice, simple cockpit.
2. Missile bay.
That's it.
Cons.
1. Extremely unstable aircraft. It pitches while rolling and rolls whilst pitching, and keeps swaying from side-to-side. It's almost as if no testing was done while making the flight model.
2. Less-than-appealing paneling.
3. Lots of overlapping bits and pieces that stick up in an odd manner.
4. Ungodly fast acceleration. What kind of plane accelerates from 0- Mach 1 in 5 seconds?
5. No Airbrake.
6. No Flaps.
7. No Trim.
8. No yaw on the main gear.
9. That kinda nozzle is meant to have TVC, this is just static.
10. 20 Guardians, but that's a nitpick.
Overall, I feel this was rushed and had 0 testing, much like... well, 99% of your builds. You can improve, mate.
I only see three builds in this picture deserving more and all of them sadly have under 50 upvotes. My best guess is people leaving the game due to lack of updates from the devs and due to the fact that the game gets boring after, say, a huge project.
If I may take the example of myself, I started losing inspiration after making my Mirage F1, a 1500 part behemoth, because I expected myself to keep making builds better than that. Obviously I didn't, but my MiG-35 was semi-decent too with a very good reception. However, it didn't get the 115 upvotes my Mirage got and received just over 75. This bogged me down a bit and I decided to make random, easier projects.
Over time, academics, other videogames and just real life took over my passion for SimplePlanes and I open the app for maybe a couple hours every week to tinker around with a couple builds I'm making.
I also stopped visiting the site and upvoting builds- something I generally did regularly- because real life just took over my entire schedule.
My presumption is that the majority of the community shares the same problems and the game is slowly dying. It's a shame, really. I had a passion for aircraft before I was introduced to SimplePlanes, but this game really ignited that passion and took it to the next level.
A lot of grammatical errors and some parts betray common sense. I also dislike the immense time jumps, but it's pretty cool overall. I love fanfics and stories and can't wait to see Part 2.
Thanks fam, @MAHADI.
Being an idiot.
Dllama moment.
10/10 would upvote.
Remove the s from https:// and it should work.
@LieutenantSOT Using a script.
Now this is a reverse Among Us character moment.

Happy birthday.
@JamesieMcPlanesieThe2st not necessarily, no. The problem is that this is annual revenue, not life-time revenue or even net asset valuation.
+1@MAHADI yeah, but for that, Jundroo would need to sell over 220,000 videogames costing $15 each (source: @Dllama4). It's plausible, but I'm not sure.
@WNP78, @AndrewGarrison, @HellFireKoder.
@DonaldAs2121 Sorry bro, I've got my exams right now.
@rexzion g'day.
@Rajko yes
This comment thread is god-awful.
no
...that was 2-3 years ago, @OwO.
@OwO Tf, a happy belated birthday to you. I'd never intentionally not wish someone on their birthday.
@DonaldAs2121 Possibly, yes. I've notified EternalDarkness.
@DonaldAs2121 He's like six-nine years old, check his comments lol.
@hihihihellohellohello please do calm down, my young friend.
Pretty cool and innovative, but can be improved upon.
@darkbin180 Sadly, no :(
Whenever you switch between monitors, you are effectively changing windows. One bypass to this would be to play SP in Windowed mode.
+1@AWESOMENESS360 haha, thanks, but I'm really part inefficient and I hope to better myself one day.
The thing has been renamed from the Avro Toucan to the Dassault Toucan.
@WiiMini Dassault Aviation Avro Birb.
I think you mean @Tucan, @TheMegaMauster
I literally give you two videos proving otherwise, but ok.
@DimitriIqbal91 Thank you.
Probably admit that it does reach Mach 1 instead of incessantly saying otherwise?
+2Sigh, here.
+1It reaches Mach 1 five seconds after taking off. This video also demonstrates my issues with the instability and autoroll.

+6@ALRX haha, it has Mirage elements in it too so, I dunno. Just decided to make it an Avro since Vulcan rhymes with Toucan and both are strike bombers.
@OwO When was your birthday?
Happy birthday.
I absolutely agree, @X4JB
+1That being said, however, I don't quite care about part efficiency in SimplePlanes, I want to mess around and have fun.
@ThomasRoderick Haha.
+2Try these hexes out for the colour:
#8f5726
#c68641
#e0ad6a
#eba834
#ffbc47
Long story short:
1. Destroy the missile launchers
2. Land inside the base, discover the "Ice Base" starting point.
Whenever you wanna spawn the missiles as a friendly AI, spawn inside the newly discovered Ice Base and they won't lock onto you.
Thank you, @Default4
@Kennnnnnnnnnnnnnnnneth Oof, lol. Thanks!
I thought my account was meant for KennethLite pooposting. :(
Go to OBS > Settings on the bottom-right pane > Video option on the left > Set Common FPS Values to 60 or greater.
