I dunno, 15 upvotes for this isn't high in 2020. In 2016/17? Sure, that'd be a big deal, but not anymore.
Now, if I may address your post, the fact that you constantly need to self-depreciate out of fear of backlash is actually saddening. Speak your mind. You don't need to say "I know the entirety of SP is gonna hate me" or "I should be burnt in a pile of ash." The people who will hate you are salty 9-year-olds who want to be toxic for the sake of being toxic. This is an open platform and you can speak your mind out.
Usually in SP, upvote count is almost always directly correlated with the quality of the build.
Relatable. I had 1200+ subassemblies which I just deleted from the game files over 2 weeks ago in an "eff it" moment because I couldn't bother to sort them all out manually.
I only see three builds in this picture deserving more and all of them sadly have under 50 upvotes. My best guess is people leaving the game due to lack of updates from the devs and due to the fact that the game gets boring after, say, a huge project.
If I may take the example of myself, I started losing inspiration after making my Mirage F1, a 1500 part behemoth, because I expected myself to keep making builds better than that. Obviously I didn't, but my MiG-35 was semi-decent too with a very good reception. However, it didn't get the 115 upvotes my Mirage got and received just over 75. This bogged me down a bit and I decided to make random, easier projects.
Over time, academics, other videogames and just real life took over my passion for SimplePlanes and I open the app for maybe a couple hours every week to tinker around with a couple builds I'm making.
I also stopped visiting the site and upvoting builds- something I generally did regularly- because real life just took over my entire schedule.
My presumption is that the majority of the community shares the same problems and the game is slowly dying. It's a shame, really. I had a passion for aircraft before I was introduced to SimplePlanes, but this game really ignited that passion and took it to the next level.
Cool stuff. Screenshot quality is 10/10, it's beyond 8k. The only gripes I have are with the bottom section of the hull, the paneling is a li'l shabby and you've got holes the size of people in there.
1. MiG-31 Vs F-15
The MiG-31 and F-15 don't have nearly similar design philosophies. The former was meant to be an interceptor, bulky, big, fast and not manoeuvrable, the latter was entirely the opposite. The F-15 was initially designed to be a dogfighter, although its role evolved with time. Two polar opposites.
2. F-15 Vs Su-27
Yep. The F-15 and Su-27 are nearly identical. Both are Delta-Wing air superiority fighters.
I can not begin to describe the inaccuracies this statement has. Even a person with 0 aviation knowledge can easily decipher the two aircraft as ENTIRELY DIFFERENT designs.
Also, delta wing? Really? Right, you'll need to brush up on your aviation terms.
Here's a little bit of constructive criticism for you:
Try not to "rant" in a giant wall of text, it puts people off. Use formatting and split it into paragraphs. Your "ranting" is gonna become much more effective, that way.
Cheers.
Emoticons are a waste of time. A truly idiotic manner in which to convey one's thoughts. Conversing in pure text is the most efficient manner of communication, one that serves a dichotomy of purposes, the former being extreme efficiency, the latter being the fact that it makes you look cooler.
Whilst you don't really need to take 300 hours to build a plane, you can learn detailing fairly easily. It's not hard, and taking breaks is encouraged because incessant work can lead to fatigue.
@Aeromen I've made a set of missiles like those in the past (around 2 years ago, idk if the game has changed how they work) and what they essentially do is zip around the target at extremely high speeds, but never hit it.
Wait, so I don't need to use 200 gyroscopes?
+3Cool, but I don't remember asking to be tagged.

No, that is not the case.
Good Quality build with low upvote count 1

Bad Quality build with high upvote count 1

Bad Quality build with high upvote count 3
Just my two cents. If anyone has a problem with it, lemme know. I mean no disrespect to any of the creators or the builds I've linked.
+3Reading this comment section makes me truly realise why Bogdan left.
+3Not really, I think the real PewDiePie vs T-Series was BogdanX vs Spiritus.
+3It's time the comments were turned off on this hell-hole.
+3Yes, the German ball.
+3Yes, 50 upvotes for a meme build.

+3@BuiltBionixInd10 that must've been a costly lesson if you were on survival.
+3@WIZARD2017 They state it in the description: 800 hours spanning one year.
+3wHeN WiLl YoU mAkE aN A-7?
+3I am not a fan of anime, but I can't ignore the work that's gone into this. My favourite part is the eye. Those are very well done, almost mystifying.
+3@QingyuZhou has made some BEAUTIFUL airliners with interiors and everything. Check him out. Link
+3Like WorldWideFlags except for instrumentation? That'd be sick!
+3If the mod doesn't appear for you, please go to
C:\Users\(Your Name)\AppData\LocalLow\Jundroo\SimplePlanes\Mods
and place the .spmod file there @RangoPilot
+2T, I don't get why they don't officially integrate some of your work into the game.
+2r/iam14andthisisdeep
+2This is exactly what I had envisioned when I made the mod.
+2This really is an F5E Tiger II Chile moment.
+2Probably admit that it does reach Mach 1 instead of incessantly saying otherwise?
+2@ThomasRoderick Haha.

+2Ah, yes, the plane that crashed 2 years ago and killed Mattangi.
+2@Kennneth Oof, lmfao. Thank you, good sir.

+2SimplePlanes, 12-bit edition.
+2I now see why the ability to change names at one's own discretion wasn't implemented before.

Lastly, that is a Sukhoi Su-30 MKI, not a Su-27.

@spefyjerbf damn, that's convenient!
+2Happy World Helicopter Day; was the decision to upload today consciously made or a crazy coincidence?
+2Farewell, old friend. The community has lost one of its best.
+2Is this supposed to be funny..?
+2I'm good, haha. If my memory servers correctly, I've been banned only once on my old account.
+2@Blue0Bull I learn from the best.
+2Hm, I think "SavageZhou" might've been a better name, to be honest.
Nice three-pronged collaboration!
+2@Awsomur Usual Discord drama being dragged onto the forums, nothing unlike 2017, really.
+2That resolution though...
+2@Adityo0502 Perhaps, but who's gonna sit down and code that piece of junk?

+2I told you to make custom missiles.
+2Hi, @WingworksDesignCo.
Thank you, @emanuelga.
+2Really beautiful, man. Now, can you make this a ship? 😛

+2Tags from previous teaser: @Evenstsrike333 @Strucker @emanuelga
+2@Abhishek700 Indeed, I am a proud Indian.
+2@abhishektyagi055 I'd like to end the topic here, thanks.
+2You didn't even make the monitor and keyboard. Wtf is this, mate. This barely deserves 50 upvotes, forget 270.
