Even though it was obvious just by looking, I wanted to give this vehicle the benefit of the doubt.
But, indeed, I am fairly certain that this creation and its predecessor are heavily based on Sm10684's post.
Many of the hex color codes are the same, the rear gears are picture perfect copies of each other, and many of the part ID patterns are the same.
Therefore, 504799, you have been officially put on the not cash money list.
go to the aircraft directory and share the xml file
there should also be an auto backup file near it, share that as well
post it on something like pastebin
@ND40X ye I know, it was supposed to be almost twice as small. I think I have a program somewhere that allows me downscale aircraft, if I find it I'll make it smaller and repost it, but rn this is my entry. I didn't notice any size restriction in the rules, though
@SmokestreamAircraft @DPSAircraft I mean, yeah, I could do a 1930 airliner challenge, but given that that time has long passed, it would be pretty difficult to come up with many original ideas. I will probably never do a challenge that requires people to make replicas of real world crafts, I want the challenges to be accessible to people who come up with completely fictional, yet creative designs
@DPSAircraft Can't watch it now, am on data, but I think I've seen it. The guy simply takes an existing airframe and assumes fuel weight is turned into battery weight, right?
Replace an A320 and put electric.
It has no logic, because A320 was not created to be electric.
This. I see a lot of armchair engineers doing this. A true electric aircraft would have to be designed around being electric. It would probably be slower and cruise much lower, but the benefits greatly outweigh that.
A more fair test would be putting electric engines on something like the ATR-42/72 and maybe extending their wings. Or gliders; the are the perfect platform for testing electric engines without any modification
@FranzPeterSiegfried no, sorry.
@Thueerra nope
@Davidzhang2671 I'm fine with it as long as credit is given. This is straight up circumventing the auto-credit system

I don't see any issue with the gear. What's more concerning is the stability of the aircraft at slow speeds, though
