One issue with a hyperdrive fighter, or any super fast armed aircraft really, is that you will outrun your own bullets and missiles. In real life it wouldn't be as much of an issue due to the relative speed of the aircraft to the projectile (unless it's a missile), but in simple planes your own bullets are deadly. I'm down though.

I just realized how spoiled I am at my airfield. Paul Allen's Flying Heritage Collection and John Session's Historic Flight Foundation are both located on my field. Paul Allen has a P-51, the last flying A6M Zero and by far the best B-25 reproduction; among many others. They are flown constantly throughout the summer, so we get spoiled.

The Rutan Bros are amazing aircraft designers and pilots. I got to meet Burt a few years back at one of the Future of Flight Museum events on my airfield. Really cool dude ;)

Thanks! It has a tendancy to be a little glitchy on my device. Occasionally it will freak out and start pushing past 1,000mph, right before it implodes. I'm hoping it makes it through the course without issue.
Though the wingspan is significantly larger, this aircraft looks like a number of composite GA aircraft being produced. Think Glasair, Cirrus and Lancair... among others. Looks great!

Yeah, I'm rebuilding for the tourny. They didn't like the scaled rotators. No worries, I've got an even more interesting aircraft on the drawing board.

The tourny rules only mention that modded engines and fuel tanks are prohibited. As it turns out, any modification will result in a disqualification.

Why do they specify engines and fuel tanks if they really mean 'no modded parts'? It's kind of an important detail, especially after I spent so many hours building and testing, and I uploaded my aircraft to the tourny on Friday and just got the rejected notice. Just a thought.

What's your completion rate look like? I may be adding a combination empennage on my racer, I just can't achieve enough pitch input with just control surfaces. You may be on to something here.

I think calling my opinion based post tagged with 'feelings' and 'suggestions' an attempt at public humiliation of anyone is a stretch, to say the least. The post was intended to get the problem addressed, and it did. I will take your advice and tag a mod next time, as my intire goal here was to have the aircraft removed (now that I know the reporting system doesn't always work). I appologize if my post was insultive, I will work on my candor in the future. Again, I appreciate your help on this matter and thank you for taking the time to communicate.

That's exactly what I'm suggesting we not do. There is a big difference between making a point and actually suggesting we boycott the civilized aspects of this site. I don't build for prestige or for upvotes, but I'll be damned if people just continue to pirate my work.

This one bugged me because the theif only added 8 beacons and 6 speed brakes and changed nothing else. I asked several times for their post to be taken down but nope. If they need more mods I will happely volunteer my time on issues like this. It's very descouraging.
Please take this down, it is not your aircraft. Slapping on some lights a speed brakes does not make it your'costomization', it makes it a ripoff of my aircraft.

I actually built planes on the beta version of this game back in 2014, but I am relitively new to the online community. It must be said, there are more active users of SimplePlanes than ever before; and more every day. As I've stated in the past, any challenge I throw up is for inspirational purposes and meant to be fun first and foremost. If you choose to submit a prop aircraft modded to the point that it exceeds 3,800mph I would love to see it (without attempting to cope with the clunky google based search engine), but I assure you, I wouldn't be the first to not have seen one. BTWs, the age of a users accounts is displayed below their name on their 'airplanes' page.

These are tough to build. Maintaining stability and agility in both swept and unswept positions is one of the hardest parts. I built three concept variable-swept wings myself.

Another copied aircraft/vehicle? You need to at least give credit to @Flyingtacos or don't post other builder's designs.

They just built a brand spankin new Me 262 at my airfield. A reproduction anyway. Great job with the design.

Scaled rotators are the only modified parts. The engine is untouched.
I dig these boxy aircraft. They always look like 70's 'future' planes. Anyway, great build!
