Very interesting, can see myself playing with this design - although when it goes it snaps to unrecoverable pitching pretty quick, maybe my hamfistedness so far mind!

Like the wing pivot , gets a bit washy and I'm always going off the end (unless I crash into the tower) :/ - what speed you flying at at the slowest manoverable with how much on the VTOL?
Hi, when you say carrier - did you mean the small one? USS Tiny? (This is the one in the challenge) - I've struggled to land this on there, can you upload a video :)

There's mine, has six parts :) (must start in the air)
That's an interesting plane, and certainly meets the 500mph and 50k requirements, but does have a few issues getting onto USS tiny as you say! :)

@StealthBomber think you need to start over with a new design that meets the goals of the challenge!
Not quite following you, but it's all in the design, my proof of concept plane has less than 90kgs fuel @StealthBomber
No mods - but can have fuel you can drop, although one I built didn't have any detachers @StealthBomber :)
VTOL is optional - mine doesn't use it @KingDeadshot
I enjoyed entering this challenge so much I've made one myself that people interested in this one may enjoy as well, have a look - it's tricky :)
