@Axartar I've already shrunk the functional wings. What I meant was whether I should keep the current placement of the decorative fake wings or move them lower like most race and stunt planes have, since I can't find many landing gear examples for how my wings are currently. It's been a while since I made this forum post so the aircraft has made some progress but I thing the new gear look a bit off
Literally any liveries (that's how ya spell it) from Tom Clancy's H.A.W.X or H.A.W.X 2. There's alot of designs from very simple to somewhat complicated but alot of them are just heckin cool. Great game from my childhood.
My personal favorite is Major Zeal's SU-47.
It is t simple, but it isn't too complicated to copy with some clever part nudging or just using the Labels to create the image and curve it to the aircraft. (You can use XML to give the labels negative curve btw)
@Khanhlam yep some modifications are allowed, especially if you want to code in custom behaviors. Which I definitely love to see. As long as the modifications aren't blatantly fantastical I doubt any points will be lost on this.
Most people will do fine here as long as the two craft they submit can remain competitive against one another. The main goal of the challenge is to guage the amount of forethought and testing gone into the entries since it's impossible to make two craft balanced in capabilities without planning ahead or building and testing in parallel. Im itching to see what people are building but I equally hope that everyone uses all the time they can right up to the deadline.
Well I do have a competition that's challenging enough to keep most people occupied until December and there's a cash prize for the top 3 sooo... There's an idea.
Thanks @mikoyanster for the spotlight, also, how's it goin mate been forever, think the last time you were in my posts you were still gold. 311k tho wow.
@femboykiller0w0 i'll allow that. Early era stuff was wack af. Just keep balance in mind, a big part of the total points for scoring is if they're both able to complete their missions under the same circumstances.
The speed limit is due to me not having the reaction time of a crackhead from Detroit. Any faster and I doubt me or my friend would be able to fly these birds. 3000 mph is already the upper limit of my capabilities with a HOTAS. It's the highest speed I can reasonably handle and it's still faster than the sr71by 800 mph. So not much reason to go faster.
Here's something I put together and gave up on a few years ago. Luckily with the new updates, making a good looking body should be easier. But the suspension is the main focus
When I read the description it sounded fake and more like you were ingeniously ripping on contemporary designers, which was halaroius in and of itself. But the topping to the cake was that it's actually a thing. Though I can't help but think, and hope, you share the same distain for contemporary angular bullcrap I do.
Neat design, I tried it out and I think it could use about 50% spring strength and 350% damper. I do like that the suspension feels less fragile though and I could really throw it up a mountain trail or the test course without exploding it.
@Spacepickle3214 no I know it's a joke, but did you know that mrcopy is a jovial play on words? Ya probably just went straight to thinking I was hostile. I can explain more if needed.

Idk if it's on purpose, but the rear wheels direction are reversed.
+1You could even go as straightforward as Ace combat 2's ZOE. Which is a wonderful shade of bright ruby with black accents.
Very simple f14 livery from hawx 1

If anyone can explain how to make photos visible I'd appreciate it. Otherwise I believe you'll need Google photos to see these.
@RandomSPGuy he looks more like a devil now than ever 👌 still better than my owo b39 lol
+1Aw man you did pochi dirty
+1Rip
Strike the fear of God into the hearts of your enemies with this.... Uh. Yeah. This.
@Snekexe I think it was 5 or so years ago when I reset too.
Imma cook something up brb
You can post them unlisted
@Theflyingcone
All good mate, good luck👍
What's the reason for spitting the trailing edge into halves?
@Jbear625 aye it ain't the 30th yet I'm still building

+1@Tomcatbetterthanhornet about 20 km. I'll be using a radar component. But ranged will probably be adjusted on case by case.
@Tomcatbetterthanhornet yeah thrust scale is allowed. Just not maximum throttle wich adjusts how loud and annoying the engines get.
An oddy satisfying way to make a body. Love it mate
+1Soo close. Love the craft tho

Reward details have now been added. Please enjoy the competition and good luck!

The fuselage cutting update was put to legendary use here.

+2@GoldenArrowCO don't worry I read every comment.
+1@GoldenArrowCO it's already fixed mate.

+1Confirmed. Checks out.
@LUCAS2077 you can make anything you want, can be fictional, replica, any era or even from another dimension of you so choose.
Thanks @Zaineman and @weeeeeeeeeeeeeeee for the upvotes as well
+2@Ikan2004 still gotta be a successor, also there should be a total of 2 craft. Read through the description for details f you're interested
Would you like to make this an entry into the spy vs spy challenge?
+2•the aircraft was mirrored and you didn't fix the inputs for the motors.
•pitch control is too agressive for the current CoM-CoL ratio. Try making all the pitch inputs less angled.
•wings are... Well, odd. Compared to the predecessor it's based from.
•no roll control.
Other than that, I think it would fly perfectly fine after they're all back in order.
Thanks @BeastHunter and @BuyOxicleanDetergent for the upvotes
+4Thanks @HuskyDynamics01 for the spotlight
+4@Sm10684 I tried making this pushrod linkage super compact. It was very finicky since all the parts kept connecting wrong.

@Sm10684 I'd be happy to
Very impressive first post, looking forward to see what's next

Aye congrats mate!

In my 6 years I've never seen thisany guns on anything
@MrCOPTY cool thanks 👍 I'll use this chance to post random facts every week here.

@Stanmich ok I'll experiment with the timing functions. This should be a huge help, thanks a ton man.
+1Finally something I'm good at. Time to make a very unsettling and unsatisfying aircraft.
Love the asthetic
