@Robomo119DerMustangKiller this one is clearly hermetically sealed and the scratch off looks intact. And why would you buy one from someone who wont let you look at the back. Thats why this one rotates
@Robomo119DerMustangKiller i agree that Fortnite is a worthless game. But $19 still goes for $19 in the real world. Sure, it doesn't get you much in game, buy the card goes for how much it says its worth. And thats $19.
@goboygo1 depending on the contour, some are separate. But I have to carefully nudge and turn each one o be as close to the fuselage as possible and each line takes 10-15 minutes. The nose took a bit over an hour and a half. Still have every bit of silver to do. I'm going for the look of bare metal and a wrap. So the coloured portions cover up the rivets beneath. Going a different direction than the Könstflyg-8, my previous aircraft.
So uhh, is there a fast way to making panel lines or is it just gonna be a week of me suffering as I carefully bend each and every label to fit closely around the body of my airplane as I slowly start to weep. Also, @jundroo gotta add a cursive font.
@GrandmasterPotato sound like a plan, I'd recommend starting off with the control surfaces. Add a smoothing command to the rotators so they move more naturally. You can copy the code from the hinges in my KÖNTFLYG-8 and edit the perameters as you see fit.
@GrandmasterPotato that just means you finished early. Since the deadline is the 25th of may. You could spend time adding a paint job, details, more I interior, flaps, panel lines, etc. There's a million things you can do to secure a winning place with over a month to experiment with it.
@SourDoughBread
I'm going for a mid 50s concept style twin engine that would basically be the runabout boat of the sky, a cruiser that can be handled like a sportster in the right hands.
I'm trying to nail the feeling of the staple 1950s heft... Not dissimilar to any car of the era, where it's both powerful and heavy. Since you're wanting vr compatibility, I'm assuming that is what you'll be using. so I'm making a plane entirely built around conveying the feeling of weight through the game, and what better than a steel hulled sky Cadillac. I'm also trying to keep it a little sporty because I want you to try the "club stall" which my grandfather invented at the Duluth airshow in 1971.
@Bhifegihbgfe I forgot to mention THE EVENTUALL DEGREDATION OF ALL MATTER AND ENERGY IN THE UNIVERSE MAKES EVERYTHING SEEM PRETTY USELESS IN THE GRAND SCHEME OF THINGS AND MAYBE WE SHOULD STOP TO SMELL THE ROSES EVERY NOW AND AGAIN BECAUSE THAT SOUNDS PRETTY NICE I THINK!
The mirrors are a bit goofy, looks like Shrek ears. But still an insanely cool and detailed build. Only things I would change are the side view mirrors and the wheel well scrub depth.
I didn't find anything outside of Wikipedia corroborating the part about a 2 seat minimum. And it appears that other sites did list homebuilt, gliders, hobby, farm, aerobatic one seaters as GE as long as they meet safety and weight regulations as well as a slew of things in a handbook pdf.
If it's not too much of an issue, I would like to build a one seater as it doesn't seem to stray from ge requirements.
Good work making it to your teens 👍. Got a long road ahead of ya mate. Only advice I can give is keep the screams inside your head when you go to high school in a year or so.
This is gonna be interesting. Bit you might want to make sure people post as a predecessor. I've seen 5 entries in the wild already and none led back here.
@MobileGamer21 I'd also like to have the fuselage blocks have meshes that can be modified and messed with so it's easier to make some of the hardest parts in sp... Compound curves.
@MobileGamer21 I was thinking more like making fuselages rounder, since they have something like 36 faces and a shader to make it look smooth, same with cones but the have 8 faces for the cone curvature.
@AlbertanPlaneMaker an entry level PC build can run you less than 500 bucks and could probably comfortably play mw2(2) at 40fps or Minecraft at 200+ fps.
Radeon XFX QICK 319 (3070 super equivalent) triple fan. About 20% faster.
64 gb of ram with all 4 channels being utilized. Overclockable and likely run at a higher freq than whatever is in the omen.
Full support motherboard, can take upgrades down the road if you want to swap parts. Also usually more energy efficient and has intuitive tuning and overclocking built in.
Whatever cooling solution you chose.
750w platinum rated power supply and custom cables.
Any case of your choice.
Beefy mf can run star citizen at 70fps, that's hard to do.
Or... Now hear me out, you don't name it that because it sounds like "avengers of clan craft, world war-z, origins" mf mobile game vibes. And stick with Simple rockets-2 because that's what it is.
Final impressions: 22 points: they were a bit hard to balance against each other and had to make concessions in order to even the playing field, however the controls were pretty good and minimal trimming was needed. Once we tuned the crafts In a bit they were very enjoyable to compete with.

Since both of you were the only valid contestants, and both got prize places. You both win. Reply to this with how you want to go about the prize payment :)
@KenzarAircraft exactly like wart hunter.
@Robomo119DerMustangKiller thats what IM saying.

@Robomo119DerMustangKiller i may be wrong... But i think $19 USD converts roughly to $19 USD. I could be wrong though. And theres postage fees.
@32 at least the link itself seems to work.
@32 fun
@Dragoranos yeah I've tried every symbol so far and nothing. The link itself seems to work though.
@SourDoughBread 3 hours and only got the nose.
@SourDoughBread oh no.
@32 did it work? I can't see the image.

No stealing mate.
Not nearly big enough!

Seems to be square, too.

@SourDoughBread thanks, also I'll try and live up to the realistic flight characteristics you want out of the challenge.

@SourDoughBread can you answer my question from yesterday?
@asteroidbook345 nah I'm making a twin engine single seat hobby sport plane.
@Bhifegihbgfe I forgot to mention THE GREAT ATTRACTOR.
The mirrors are a bit goofy, looks like Shrek ears. But still an insanely cool and detailed build. Only things I would change are the side view mirrors and the wheel well scrub depth.
I mean GA, not GE. My apologies

@Bhifegihbgfe boi my BUwU-36 can carry 3 TBs and a reactor!
@Bhifegihbgfe OR WHAT?!?
I mean, they're all fictional ?
My worst enemy, the bacon machine, the mig.
oxyacetylene is where it's at. Hehehehehehehehe tiny sun go ffffffffssssssshhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.
@Brionne naw it's pretty cool actually but pokemon are just cursed imo. You did good work.
WHERES THE HEAVENLY CLEANSING FIRE
DEAR GOD
@CZmoqi literally.
@GorillaGuerrilla oh shit it clean, I'm a doofus!

Also is there a deadline or is it still TBA

@SnoWFLakE0s idk what to tell ya mate, it's what's in it.
@Timothy19452022 I think you're confused, I'm still talking about breaking bad mate
@AlbertanPlaneMaker an entry level PC build can run you less than 500 bucks and could probably comfortably play mw2(2) at 40fps or Minecraft at 200+ fps.
@AlbertanPlaneMaker building a PC has better cost to performance than buying a pre built computer.
The hp omen, as a reference goes up to 1800 bucks.
What you get:
An older Ryzen CPU (Ryzen 7 5800x)
A single fan variant of a Nvidia rtx3060 which is bottom of the barrel for new gen GPU.
16 gb of ram (2/4 channels used)
Proprietary motherboard.
AIO (all in one, liquid cooler for CPU)
350w copper rated power supply.
Can probably handle most AAA games on standard settings 40-60 fps
For less than that I built a PC containing:
Ryzen 9 7950x CPU. (2 generations newer, >40% faster)

Beefy mf can run star citizen at 70fps, that's hard to do.
"gamer" seat with zero ergonomics. Check
Overly aggressive keyboard design. Check
$2k PC that will never play anything more taxing than Fortnite at 500fps when the monitor does 122. Check.
Bog standard Logitech speakers that will never be used. Check.
Headset that only blares mid tones and bass with in irremovable mic even though you have a BLUE. Check.
Apple mouse from 2004. Check.
Everything checks out l, this is a gameing setup. Spelt wrong on purpose.
@Timothy19452022 I'll spoon feed you the blue stuff until you start foaming from the eyes!
Or... Now hear me out, you don't name it that because it sounds like "avengers of clan craft, world war-z, origins" mf mobile game vibes. And stick with Simple rockets-2 because that's what it is.
