Personally, I found this ship kinda lame in the movie. It’s such an obvious space copy of a B-17 to the extent that I was bored during it’s scenes. I like looking at original starships, not bland copies.

Please don’t take that as an insult to your build, I think it’s fantastic, but I just wanted to express my opinion on the ship scenes in the movie.

I can agree, it’s hard to get noticed on the site. Everybody just goes to highest rated, me included. I’ve been making an attempt to check new posts too.

@TheGuyYouMightKnow I’ve seen some pretty lackluster stuff at the highest ranking spot. That was years ago, but now quality has improved to make builds like that less appealing. At the same time, sadly it makes it harder for new players to enter.

I removed buoyancy from the central part and added 3 fuselage blocks. Two on the sides for stability and one in the rear to help with pitching. I also added 3 VTOL nozzles, two steer and one is for forwards movement only. Hopefully this helps.

    Hello again @DeezDucks !

  • U.S.S. Cape Cod FSG-6 6.8 years ago

@TMach5 I had a feeling that it was that, but I’ve had that turned off and had no issues with missiles before. I’ll have to remember that for future ships, thanks!

  • U.S.S. Cape Cod FSG-6 6.8 years ago

@TMach5 hmm... I tested it right before I put it up and it worked. Was it a one-off or a repeated thing?

  • U.S.S. Taffy FFG-77 6.8 years ago

@EternalDarkness thanks! I’ve taken inspiration from numerous Russian ships that I fight in Cold Waters, and I wanted to make an American themed design. I’m glad you like the strike capability, I set out to make an air defense oriented ffg, but it morphed into a multi-role ship

  • U.S.S. Taffy FFG-77 6.8 years ago

@CrashFighter05 we all gotta start somewhere;)

My first build was a boat launcher, and I still love building contraptions and prototypes for fun

@Strikefighter04 I love that story. It so uplifting and motivating

  • FFG(X) Concept 6.9 years ago

@aguy the main gun fires chaff and flares, but sadly the other weapons don’t work. I tried to, but I don’t have a way to fit missiles inside at a reasonable size and not drown in water
