I've been looking for a decent autoturret system for a while, and heck, this is perfect. Works fabulously, and it's super fun. Would you mind if I used it for for a PDC turret? Credit would be given, of course.
Ideas
-thicker fuselage, maybe some panelling if you can
-Custom weapons if possible
-just go all out on decals & art lol
-Instead of using a fuselage cone for the nose, try bevelling it down with a ton of fuselages.
-Cockpit if you're inclined to be masochistic
Okay.
I really do wish you would stop protesting a lost cause. Spamming the forums solves nothing. You cannot appeal to moderators or devs to change the rule, because it's the literal law. If you really want to change this, complain to the government—I'm sure they'll listen to a barely-teenager complaining about his brother being banned from some massively insignificant site.
There is nothing you can do to change this. It's just how it is. It's the law.
Maybe around 500 parts, drag on? Not really sure, but that's my best guess. With drag calculations off you could maybe stretch it to 700 or so?
Not a mobile user, so idk for sure
@demoman9
It's Google's fault, not the devs'. Google required 64-bit systems, and Jundroo had to switch to a system that doesn't support mods. It is in no way their fault, and asking about it constantly will change literally nothing and just annoys everyone.
I'm sorry but that's just how it is.
.
As for your creations—if you uploaded them on the site, download them. Then press the Undo and then Redo buttons. It'll load up your creations, but without the mod parts.
If you wanted a rotator to be controlled by Pitch and Roll, you could type in Pitch+Roll as the input. Should work for all input types—so you could do Activate1+VTOL or Trim+LaunchCountermeasures, or something.
There's definitely more advanced ways, but this is the basics.
Hope this helps :)
Yup. Click here and scroll down for missile XML attributes.
Note: it doesn't list a few. There's also ignitionDelay, which delays the missile firing, name, which allows you to change the weapon's name, and explosionScale, which scales explosion and damage ratings.
RCNs are a nightmare in terms of customization. None of this is really possible–you can only change the input to Yaw, Roll, or Pitch.
.
However, the answer lies in the beauty of VTOL nozzles! If you set the VTOL engine's max to a value over 1, the exhaust from the nozzle will appear spaced at full throttle. Then, you can set the exhaust colour to grey or white.
It's not the best, but it can be further improved by clustering multiple nozzles together, which overlaps their exhaust patterns. If you do something along these lines, you could probably get a pretty decent exhaust pattern going.
Hope this helps. :)
@WiiMini Airs (and Macs in general I guess) aren't really meant for gaming or heavy use. There's numerous cooling issues on the 2020 models, and their processing has limited ability to handle something like SP.
.
Try quitting other apps when playing, and maybe reduce terrain and water quality. If that still doesn't work, maybe (gag) reduce physics and graphic settings.
@Brothen127
Yup. It kinda does need some more turrets. Easily the biggest issue with the design. Don't really know why I didn't add more—just oversight I guess. Sorry.
.
Also mega oof to the turret coding using info from the cockpits location and not itself.
Didn't code the turrets myself, so I'm not really the guy to talk to. I'll take a look at them later though.
As for the turret control system—yup, the right PDC is backwards. Could've fixed it but a) I'm lazy, and b) I thought the turrets moving in two different ways would be weird/uncoordinated. It does make directing them annoying however. Sorry. In the future I'll probably use autoturrets anyway.
.
Probably beneficial edits lol. Could you tag me on the unlisted? I'd be interested in seeing it.
Thanks for the criticism-I appreciate it. :)
@Typhoon03 That's true. Definitely more gold+plat upvotes than silver. However, I'd say that the lack of low-rank upvotes doesn't necessarily indicate an issue with the community, or that low-rank users dislike you. More likely, the reason is related to user activity or just plain chance.
Well, all of those posts are at least a month old. Many of the bronze upvoters could have gained silver in that time.
Edit: sorry, I read the end. I'd say that a month would be enough for bronze to gain silver, since bronze users post more, and from a quick scan of the Daedalus many silver upvoters are in the 1000-2000 point range.
clamp01(Altitude < 40) in the activationGroup tab should work.
Put it into a downward-facing engine, preferably centred at the CoM.
.
There's definitely better ways, but that works. You can adjust the 40 to whatever height you need. It's measured in metres IIRC, so you'll have to convert.
Also, if you change Altitude to AltitudeAgl, it will measure the altitude above ground level as opposed to sea level.
Hope this helps :)
I'd write an essay about how these forums need to stop if I had the remotest idea that you would listen.

Came here expecting whining about lack of mobile mod support. My disappointment is nonexistent and my day has significantly improved.

@WiiMini and (1/3 of) those comments were posted on forums like this originally no?
I feel like half of those comment screenshots were taken off forums like this one

I haven't figured this out either
Inuyasha moment
@Redtangodown1 Yeah, just no part mods or anything with scripts. Kinda annoying halfway point, but it's better than nothing.

If they all upvoted a blog post the poster would have zero points
Crazy how sh*t works out

@NojusGindrenas Nah, January's fine. I'll probably be able to get something done. Thanks for telling me about it!
@NojusGindrenas
sad to say, nope.
As for the challenge, I'm working on a different one right now—however the deadline's in December, so I'll try to find time for yours!
@TheHandBurgler np!
I believe autoDispenseDelay is what you're looking for

Alright, thanks. Rip 15 realism points lol. Sorry for being "that guy".
Might enter, are spaceships allowed?
@Star737 how dare you. prepare for immediate termination.

let me appreciate a perfect 100 points before I give you bronze
if I had found this half an hour ago I could have spotlighted. :/

@BadmanSalam it works for iOS, just enable the Overload mod.

@JKudasai
Yup. Sad to see so many help posts left unanswered. Wish people would lend a hand a little more often.
@ACEPILOT109
+1Lol, essay gang
@KnightOfRen
Found it a minute after it was posted, it's just funny seeing drama bait before people descend on it
Lmao I was waiting for this time bomb to go off
