Please try to make major changes to a plane before posting it. Simply painting an object a different color, or adding a few guns is not enough to consider it your own. In the future please credit the original maker, and try to post your own work.

@TailessAce the mod is loaded in, since it gets to the point of connecting, but something prevents it from actually completing the connection.
Are you attempting this on the college network? Many college networks are configured in a way that will not allow connections required for the multiplayer mod.
If you are running a server, does it give any errors, such as "unable to open port"?
If you ping the host computer from the client, and the client from the host, do they receive all packets sent? (link for Mac)
@Topfighter if you are on the same network you'll use their local area network IP address (server executable should list it under "Local IPs", as well as in "Checking UPnP status on <IP Address>").
If you are on a different network then you'll need their external IP address as given by the "find my IP website" or listed immediately after "External IP: " by the server.
@memboi500 @ledownloader123 Although it is currently not on the Steam Workshop, this will work with the Steam edition of SimplePlanes. Simply open the .spmod file with SimplePlanes and it should install automatically. If that doesn't work, you can manually place the file under %APPDATA%..\LocalLow\Jundroo\SimplePlanes\Mods
@JakeS in that case, you're obviously cool to do so :)
My mistake, I suppose I shouldn't expect the post to actually have anything to do with the point of itself.
@KnightOfRen I can't personally recommend any publisher, but I know a few people who have gone through Amazon. As I understand it, they can handle physical printing and of course you can sell it as an ebook
THIS RULE IS EXTREMELY VAGUE. I don't need to explain why. It never sets an area for creators to aim for. So by posting something like a gun or a car, you're taking a massive risk- because if someone gets buttered up, say goodbye to simpleplanes.
Actual builds are not off-topic, and if you somehow manage an off-topic build, it wouldn't get you more than a strike... Except strikes are (virtually) never issued for a simply off-topic post.
This rule allows moderators to remove completely irrelevant spam, such as random advertisements, scam bot posts, and those posts where someone wants to share every detail about their time sitting on the toilet squeezing out a stinky poop.
Second: Hate speech.
It's understandable to worry about this, but you might've noticed hate speech includes a link, which lays out something distinctly less vague. It's usually used to yeet flaming racists who spam racial slurs all the time.
The same thing- a single object with no cockpit. One gets removed, the other doesn't.
Could you please link to the unremoved single object without a cockpit? Moderators are not all-seeing and active at all times, that is why users have the report button. I suggest you use it.
Last: Power
If the moderators didn't have the power to remove things and ban people, that would be a lot of time devs would have to spend cleaning up the site and dealing with troublemakers instead of making games, or a lot of spam and outright gross crap users would need to wade through, however, this doesn't mean moderators are free to do so without reason. If you have specific instances where that has happened which concern you, please use the contact page linked at the bottom of the website to directly contact Jundroo.
Well that's a misleading title.
They're the only ones posted as mods, because in the past people just posted their XML tweaks to the forums, and because they prompted a rule against posting such things in the mods section in the future.
@CrashFighter05 I assume the application would be SPServer.exe, as that's the program which will be using those ports, however I have actually never done port forwarding myself. The default ports it will try to use are 5127 for TCP and 5128 for UDP.
If your router supports UPnP, turning that on should make it work automatically... if it doesn't, I hope the manual port forwarding works for you.
@BuiltBionixInd10 The mod completely ignores what map you are on, so yes, however it doesn't sync the map itself at all, so if other people are on different maps in the same server, then they may land on things that aren't there for you, or fly through mountains, because the mountains don't exist on their map.
@sheepsblood @Minecraftpoweer You didn't misunderstand, Activation Groups on parts should be able to parse Funky Trees inputs now... However, it appears Magnets were forgotten in that upgrade, so unfortunately they will not work until fixed (should be in the next update/patch).
@Jacobdaniel not sure why it wouldn't work, but it is now redundant anyway. The stock game now has a built-in validator at the bottom of Airplane Properties :)
Please, remember that this is a game about airplanes. While we do allow off-topic conversations in the forums, if you talk about religion or politics then there is a good chance that your post will be removed. Especially if we feel that it is likely to stir up debate.
Unfortunately, wing control surfaces do not presently support Funky Trees (their input code is totally separate).
You'll have to use custom control surfaces if you want to control them with Funky Trees, currently.
Thanks to how @WNP78 set it up, you can actually define your own unit system in your Settings.xml file (on Windows, this is located in C:\Users\[Username]\AppData\LocalLow\Jundroo\SimplePlanes).
Inside the UnitSystems tag, duplicate one of the existing unit systems, change the XML tag, and specify the units you want for each type of unit.
Here's an example which is just the Metric unit system, but defined as SI and using m/s instead of km/h.
After you have added your new unit system inside the UnitSystems tag, it should show up as you cycle through your unit systems with the in-game settings :)
@QuickNils Remove the comma, the IP you're trying to connect to I believe is 157.7.205.136. Only the highlighted part belongs in that box.
If you're still having issues after that, open the dev console and enter the command MPToggleDebugMode, to enable MP debug logs, then try to connect, and after it fails send me your output_log.txt, located in C:\Users\[Username]\AppData\LocalLow\Jundroo\SimplePlanes (you can upload it to pastebin or somewhere similar, and give me the link).
@Axartar it also says he waits dreaming.
How can one wait dreaming while dead?
Perhaps "dead" has a different meaning here.
That said, I was not on the team back during Cthulhu development, nor have I actually read the stories (I've been meaning to pick them up...), so I cannot speak much on accuracy or why Cthulhu was designed exactly that way.
This should work (only did a tiny bit of testing, though. Hasn't been through my standard QA process).
Anybody that has set their icon offset may need to set it back to the default0,0,0.

@5647367267 you need the terminal running in the same directory as SPServer.exe, or use the full file path to the exe in the command.
On mobile you can turn on Gyro controls for pitch and roll under the Settings page in the main menu.
@SenSkysh eventually, but it's not certain. "Eventually" was the plan several years ago, too. I don't work on the mod often.
@se34ruy it won't work in 1.11 anymore.
@Ffffgdxv please do share it. All the mobile players will love you.
I am aware the 1.12 update has broken the mod and am working on a fix.
Thank you for the bug reports.
Edit: The fix is in.

127.0.0.1
, or simplylocalhost
.Your post has been removed because it appears to have broken the website rules. You can read them here

Assuming you're talking about this text again, I recommend against that.
Posting the same long and irrelevant text a third time in a row is a sure way to get a strike for spam.
@KnightOfRen I can't personally recommend any publisher, but I know a few people who have gone through Amazon. As I understand it, they can handle physical printing and of course you can sell it as an ebook
@ayou2005 okay, deal!

@WagonTime yes, that's why they're still up, and the rule they triggered is why they will forever be the only ones posted in the mods section.
Well that's a misleading title.
They're the only ones posted as mods, because in the past people just posted their XML tweaks to the forums, and because they prompted a rule against posting such things in the mods section in the future.
@WNP78 Hey, it's not like I didn't tell you I was about to publish that MP update before you released this!
@WNP78 That was a long time ago, I don't really remember it, but I'd guess it's to match the rocket pod rockets.
@CrashFighter05 I assume the application would be SPServer.exe, as that's the program which will be using those ports, however I have actually never done port forwarding myself. The default ports it will try to use are

No, both mods are just an interface to modify pre-existing properties, so they will not need those mods enabled to use a build made with them.
@BuiltBionixInd10 The mod completely ignores what map you are on, so yes, however it doesn't sync the map itself at all, so if other people are on different maps in the same server, then they may land on things that aren't there for you, or fly through mountains, because the mountains don't exist on their map.
@SgtRXMT yep, just use the local IP address of the hosting computer to connect to the server.
@NaCl10 unfortunately it looks like the Tunngle site is down/gone... I have removed the link, thanks for letting me know.
@sheepsblood @Minecraftpoweer You didn't misunderstand, Activation Groups on parts should be able to parse Funky Trees inputs now... However, it appears Magnets were forgotten in that upgrade, so unfortunately they will not work until fixed (should be in the next update/patch).

Edit: It seems @Mod beat me by just a smidge...
Yes.
@HarryBen47 depends on what you mean by that.
@QuickNils Remove the comma, the IP you're trying to connect to I believe is

@metallicplanes @cadillac1 @LancasterAce @QuickNils Updated :)
@LancasterAce nah
@T8flightcrafts @JamesBoA @metallicplanes We are working on updating it to 1.8.
For FineTuner, you can try this:
PC/Mac: https://www.dropbox.com/s/1jf7iqda4g8uwim/FineTuner.spmod?dl=0
Android: https://www.dropbox.com/s/0l3gjdegkhtswpf/FineTuner.spmod-android?dl=0

.@Prolex917 it should be in

@BlobfishMaster to install on mac, check out the "OSX" section here.
Opening it through Steam shouldn't be a problem after it's installed as directed :)
@KingHandspider Unfortunately I can't think of anything else, and I don't have a Mac of my own to test with.
I will note this down with a link, and hopefully one of the other devs with a Mac can check it out after SR2 development has settled down a bit.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
