You could try using a calculator like this one to find how long it would take the aircraft to make a turn based on its speed, stall speed, and bank angle (the result of which can be easily converted into a simple degrees per second value).
Alternatively you could just time how long it takes you to make a certain (e.g. 180 degree) turn and then convert that to degrees per second.
Hmm... let's get a very rough low estimate of the number of active players because I'm up too late and feel like doing this. Incredibly approximated math, GO!
SteamDB gives a player peak of roughly 200 per day over the last several months, so we'll use that as our baseline. If we assume that 50% of active players launch the game on any given day (a total guess, but it seems fairly plausible), we can double the SteamDB average to 400. 400 people seems like a fair estimate for the number of active players on Steam, in my opinion.
Now, if we assume that Steam players make up 25% of the total number of active players (based on the fact that of the 20 current Hot aircraft, 5 were built on Windows), that brings the total count of currently active players to somewhere in the ballpark of 1600 to 2000 people, which - for a fairly niche game that's closing in on its ninth year - seems like a reasonable number. Remember, that's my approximation of the number of currently active players, not the total number, or the number of accounts (active or otherwise) on the site, or such. And it's only an approximation.
There's a lot of problems with this model (not all Windows players play on Steam, the only number that isn't an assumption or guess is the SteamDB player average, etc.) and I'm not really looking for corrections to it because of that. I have no idea whether that number is even remotely accurate or not, I just thought it would be interesting to have a go at it instead of doing normal person things like sleeping.
The simplest way to explain it is essentially as a bunch of variables. If all variables are "true", the engine will turn on. With more advanced things that require you to do steps in a particular order, I think it's similar except certain variables require other variables to be true before they themselves can be true (and then eventually the engine is allowed to start after a series of these steps), but I'm not entirely certain.
Huh, I've never seen the tanker actually turn away from you, at least not when spawned via the "Spawn Tanker Plane" button in the AI menu. Is it actually changing heading, or is it just making maneuvers that cause you to miss the basket?
Hiding the UI is a good way to do it (F9 by default on PC, never found it on mobile so I'm not sure if it's possible there), especially since physical gauge and other instrumentation parts exist now that can still give you necessary info like airspeed, attitude, altitude, and so on. You might want to build yourself a gunsight (or at least a simple pipper) though, unless you just want to aim by tracers, since the default gunsight reticle goes away too.
So... you got banned, made an alt to tell people you got banned, then came back after your ban and denied (really unconvincingly, I might add) that you made the alt to begin with.
Interesting approach.
Yeah, you'll have to buy it again for PC. The PC and mobile versions are different, and unless you have a phone that's running Windows for some awful reason, I don't think the game program assets would even be compatible if you were to try to copy/paste them.
So... ban evasion ("i have been banned for 7 days . . . AND THE SAME DAY I WAS BANNED TOO") and reposting something removed by moderators ("yes i did but the original one got removed lol")?
Honestly the main thing I'd love to see is a fix for the bug that causes on-screen messages ("Group 1 Activated", "Retracting Landing Gear", etc.) to stop being displayed after the autopilot is enabled. That's been around for years and it's really annoying despite how minor it is.
@TheCommentaryGuy I'm not sure it actually should count as one. The Beast is scripted to move in a certain direction, but it's a dynamic object and really all it does is provide a constant "ahead" movement relative to the orientation of the ship, so if you nudge (or yeet) it out of alignment, it just kind of goes off in the new direction. Ideally it would try to return to its original course, but the game wasn't advanced enough for that when the ship AI was added back with the Tiny.
Same here, alternating between "failed to connect (unknown error)" and "failed to connect (No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it.)"
You could still do that with a wing gun if you just set it to do really low damage, but there's no actual flamethrower-type thing (unless there's a mod for one I haven't seen).
It multiplies the power output (and the fuel consumption rate) of the jet engine. For example, an engine with a powerMultiplier of 2 will produce twice as much power at any given throttle setting than the same engine with a powerMultiplier of 1.
oh fiddle

+2There have been 20 new forum posts in the last 24 hours. That's... possibly above average, actually.

Or, in a word, no.

+1Either I'm going insane or you posted this exact thing like two or three days ago, and then deleted it to repost today.
+7Could you do a version with just the water ice?
It doesn't stop. Eventually it'll pass to the west of Bandit Airport and then just keep going out to sea. Same for the Tiny and Tiny 2.
This is, without a doubt, the single most amazing SimplePlanes video I have ever seen.
Wow.
@Dogedogebread13 Punctuation't II, the sequel
...Punctuation't?
Oaksjhsosihwbsndkqi indeed.
+1@Sense2 ...Wait, now I'm confused.
In the original post you say that it silences the game, but now you say it doesn't mute the game sound?
When you put your phone on silent, it silences the app running on the phone?
I'm no Apple technician, but that sounds like the silent button is working as intended.

@Skyler101 Weren't you him for like three weeks though?
@hpgbproductions Thanks! That works great.

...I mean, it's possible to do that, sure. But why?
