No not at all man! I mean, I know I’m not going to be building all of those. It’s just a good list of options. And I, too, share that love for heli’s my friend :) @AerialFighterSnakes
Thanks man, very kind of you to say :) and thanks for your help, the spin limit is most certainly what’s holding me back, thank you for bringing it to my attention. The mod sounds like just what I need. Unfortunately, I do most of my SP business on iOS. I do have a pc for when I need to XML Edit while building, but the poor little machine isn’t really powerful enough to play on. It can handle lower part count builds okay, but certainly not this monster! Haha. Nevertheless, I will give it a go and let you know what I discover.
I definitely understand what you’re saying about this/these build/s being a working model; that it’s more about watching all of the fantastic mechanisms in action and appreciating them. Which is usually what I do when playing with builds like these... it’s just that yours functioned so well that I wanted to drive it around for the sake of the drive as well! @iwannabeelected
Cool man! I’ll keep those in mind! I’m starting small; right now I’m working on a tiny autogyro. But it’s kind of a special one, IMO, so I hope that you like it! @AerialFighterSnakes
Oh and also, if I am successful in my modifications: I wasn’t planning on posting it publicly, but I will if you’d like, as it might get you slightly more exposure, and you’d get some points for any upvotes I might receive (as you know, I’m sure).
Hey man, this build is so spectacularly cool! But I wanted two things more out of it; I wanted smoother power delivery and I wanted more speed. So I took out the pistons (even though the V4 reciprocating piston engine is super cool), and I added some jet engines to the discs (that kind of look like counter-weights) on the crankshaft. I got the car to run and drive alright, and I am pleased with the smoothness of power delivery and operation. But no matter what I try, I can’t get the machine past that 5-6 mph barrier... do you have any suggestions?
So, are you interested in some suggestions that might help it to fly better? If not that’s totally cool, of course. I just like your build and I think I might be able to help make it better. @gunsou03
By ‘more helicopters’, are you referring to this and this?
Oh, and I guess possibly this ?
What sort of helis are you interested in?
@AerialFighterSnakes
It’s a cool build man, I like it! Cool idea, definitely has potential. But it is pretty much uncontrollable, as far as I can tell... I have some suggestions if you’re interested. Also, for a bigger build like this, with more complicated controls, it is highly advisable to add instructions — flight controls, action group controls, etc. to the description of your post.
Oh yeah what a cool car that was! Although the only two things I know about it are that 1) the T in V16T refers to the engine and trans configuration, with the engine (V16) transverse mounted and the trans longitudinal (which would be a cool detail for you to add), making a “T” shape; and 2) something about how the creator/designers were from Lambo and Lambo wouldn’t produce the car so they went off on their own to build it haha. Oh yeah; plus, Cizeta is a compound of the Italian letters “C” and “Z”. Although I can’t remember what that means. Maybe the guys initials or something? You’re right that looks like a tricky build but it would be super cool! Also, on the line of supercars, how about Vector? The W8 is a really funky and awesome car, plus it’s a pretty rectilinear shape, which might lend itself well to SP’s builder? @tylerdeveneuxmusic
Nice work man, looks great, flies great! Just a little tip; if you’re interested in an easy way to add yaw control while hovering, install a gyro with these settings:
Action group — 8 (or all)
Gyroscopic speed — 250%
Gyroscopic stability — 0%
Auto orient — Enabled
Pitch Range — 0%
Roll Range — 0%
Yaw Power — 150-250%
Pitch Input:
Activation Group — None
Input — Pitch
Invert — No
Roll Input:
Activation Group — None
Input — Roll
Invert — None
Yaw Input:
Activation Group — None
Input — Yaw
Invert — No
With these settings, you can give the aircraft yaw control while hovering without the gyro causing auto-leveling or affecting the pitch or roll. You won’t even notice there’s a gyro (except that you’ll have yaw control while hovering haha). If you’re a purist about it and don’t want to use a gyro, there’s other ways to add yaw control that are a little more involved...
Really great detail, really great craftsmanship. Really impressive work. I love the exhaust flames, what a fantastic idea! Works perfectly. Seriously great job man.
I was staying with my sister and her husband and new baby out in the campo outside Granada in Nicaragua. No internet, no SP haha :( I suppose I could have kept building offline but I wanted to spend some time away from phones, computers, games, etc. for a while. Although we did watch some movies and shows @Gameboi14
Fantastic! Well built, and I love the simple but effective cockpit! Great work. On an unrelated note; with the 1.8 update, are you going to continue to build rotorcraft with your amazing made-from-scratch rotor assemblies, or are you going to switch to using the ready-made rotors?
Hey man, I don’t know where to post this question, so here is where I’ll ask. Do you have an easy install version of that Garmin GX touch? Absolutely fantastic display, I’d love to put it in one of my builds! :)
Say, can you explain to me a little bit about the prop wash effect; what causes it and what are the symptoms? I looked it up online and the explanation I found didn’t make sense to me when applied to a pusher-prop setup, like in this case.... :/
Oh and also, if you’d be willing to explain a bit about how you built this plane and what you did to achieve prop wash, I would be so so grateful! :)
Hey man! I just got home. I’ll see if I can tinker with this and maybe get it functioning again. Although I’m gonna be rusty since I haven’t built anything in 3 months... sorry I missed this message so long ago haha. @AtomicCyclone
No it’s cool. So in other words, you want them to be 0.75x their original size, OR shorter than the width of the wing, while retaining the original proportions ( not stretching or squishing them while scaling)? @Rymanx03
No not at all man! I mean, I know I’m not going to be building all of those. It’s just a good list of options. And I, too, share that love for heli’s my friend :) @AerialFighterSnakes

Btw that’s a great list of heli’s! I would love to see all of them built! I can’t even decide what I’d want to start with haha.

And yes, that’s the plan!

Do you have a link to that? @gunsou03
Cool! Is this a WIP or no?
Well it certainly shows/paid off :) @Mattangi2
Fantastic work. Love the driver’s display/car settings screen.

Wow. Well it definitely shows! @WIZARD2017
Really great detail, really great craftsmanship. Really impressive work. I love the exhaust flames, what a fantastic idea! Works perfectly. Seriously great job man.
Thanks man! Glad to be back :)
Are you working on anything right now? @tylerdeveneuxmusic
Truly a spectacular build. I hope one day I will have the skills to build a swashplate/rotor assembly from scratch...
Really incredible work. How many hours do you think you spent on this in total?
Great work, I love it!
Very nice work, I love it!
Sure man! @JelloAircraftCorporation
Yep!! :) @JelloAircraftCorporation
I love the ADI too that is fantastic!
So cool!
Hey congrats on platinum! @CRJ900Pilot

Lol agreed @Cardboard
Hahaha @ICANTFLY

Ridiculously cool, as usual. Good job man.
Woohoo alright awesome!!! :) @Chancey21
Cool man, I dig it!! :)
Hey man! I just got home. I’ll see if I can tinker with this and maybe get it functioning again. Although I’m gonna be rusty since I haven’t built anything in 3 months... sorry I missed this message so long ago haha. @AtomicCyclone
Okay cool thanks man! :) @Rymanx03
Cool man! Thanks! :)
No it’s cool. So in other words, you want them to be 0.75x their original size, OR shorter than the width of the wing, while retaining the original proportions ( not stretching or squishing them while scaling)? @Rymanx03
Umm.. what do you mean? I’m not taking my comp with me, if that’s what you mean @Spectre2520
Thanks man, you too! My pleasure, looking forward to working with you again soon! @JelloAircraftCorporation
Okay, sure I can help :) can you be a little more specific? i.e. what percent of original size do you want the bombs, etc. @Rymanx03
Maybe the best SP walker I’ve ever seen. Brilliant.
Thanks man :) see you soon! @ThePrototype
I’m going to stay with my sister who lives way out in the country in Nicaragua @Spectre2520
Yep haha :(
Keep building while I’m gone! Haha @ThePilotDude
Love the cockpit!!
