Really nice build. Ticks all the boxes for a sim while still being usable in VR, I could get to all the controls easily. Apart from the plane itself, I am impressed with the strict, clean organization of your build file and use of Funky Trees. Its tight and efficient so presumably easy to tweak and adjust.
Original too heavy, Removed the 1000 lb loading on most of the parts. Separated flight surfaces to pitch (Tail) and Roll(Primary Wings) having both on both wont work. Also doubled the engine power.
Fixed it 4u Here
Cool. I was watching a youtube on that type of configuration, with the vertical stabilizer on the wingtips apparently it produces a more efficient airplane.
I don't know what priority SP has in Jundroo's range of products. If it were top of the list I think you would see more rapid development. I've played the others and they really have excellent features and arguably a superior physics engine. (or maybe that's my imagination). I get the feeling Jundroo would prefer us to use those games. But there something about Simpleplanes that keeps pulling me back to it that the others dont. The interface perhaps. IDK.
@PlaneFlightX is correct. But if budget is a consideration a general rule if you can, its best to match the ram in both slots (Not always possible as sometimes Ram is on the motherboard. I'd replace the 2 with a 4 so you have. 4 +4. I'd say that would perform better than the 4 + 8. Personally, 16GB is the minimum I'll run.
Nice! VTOL control full down and ease the throttle up until it starts to lift. Then slowly increase throttle and decrease VTOL until you are in level flight. Also does STOL very well.
@Varrell007 Yes. As close as I could to Bartini's design concept, but I took it further than the actual plane was developed. Hopefully I did him justice.
This be much fun. Thanks for a tank with no tank tracks. While I can appreciate the crazy skill to make tracks work, I like playing this tank better because of the wheels.
Amazing. incredible @MisterT that you can use SP to make such realism. Also new respect for pilots that had to jump in these things and quickly get up into the sky. If it were up to me, the battle would be over before I remembered the startup sequence.
Depends on the system, but generally yes. When you setup your headset it asks you to define the limits of the area you want to use. (So you don't walk into walls). It can be as small as just the area around your seat but can also be room size.
Nice. You could even have the X wings open when SelectedWeapon!="" but that's going into personal preferences. Some ppl like to actually flip a switch. Without revealing how into Star Warz I was as a kid, I remember "lock s foils in attack position" and thinking they meant X foils caus its an x wing fighter right? Apparently not.
I can record a normal SP game without the headset without cropping, But I wanted to do it all in VR and steamVR's game window is only a mirror of one of the eye displays. There is special software for VR recording but can't be bothered.
I don't mean to alarm anybody, but I think we are being followed....by a dragon???? sounds of gruesome fiery death
+1I love the word "resistant". This build is missile proof, but it's safer to say resistant, because anything is possible in this game.
+1Yes please!

Here
I feel the need.
+1How about "The Whiplash"?
+1Cool. I was watching a youtube on that type of configuration, with the vertical stabilizer on the wingtips apparently it produces a more efficient airplane.
+1One day I think it may make sense.
+1@HuskyDynamics01 Actually thanks! That makes some kind of weird sense.
+1Congratulations. Well deserved. Your builds are great!
+1Shock and awe. I'm going to sneak this one onto my workstation to enjoy it in its fullest.
+1Looking good. Can't wait to fly it when its finished.
+1That little yellow square is my brain.
+1Nice! Had a quick sail, but this build deserves some serious play time which I intend to enjoy over the weekend.

+1This thing is wild. And missile-proof!
+1Wow. There is so much thought in this build that you can't immediately see until you dig down into it. Very Cool.

+1You know I've been trying to make an AI missile that can defeat this thing. Haven't been able to yet. Well Done. I do love a challenge though.
+1Why does the "Dark Side" have cooler looking weapons and better designed uniforms.
+1Looking Good! I'd love to fly it again when its finished.
+1I think every modern jet fighter should have one.
+1@Wibbley Thanks for the spotlight! Much appreciated.
+1Flyable version of The Jericho Missile This video shows the projectiles ejecting before impact.
+1I can never find one when I need one.
+1Really like this one. Kind of looks like a SR-71 evolved. VTOL takeoff. Activate1 & Activate2. Full Throttle. Then turn off Activate1, then Activate1.
+1This just keeps getting better.
+1its so graceful.
+1I just love the way this build continues to evolve. Really enjoying this one! Thanks!
+1Cool. One step closer to my dream of operating a Gundam in VR. Can't wait.
+1Totally amazing
+1Feature Request can the coal cart be branded ACME? or would that be inappropriate somehow? I can never tell these days.
+1Just love a good joke. Going to have to make a successor of this one;
+1Wow.

+1Its a fascinating concept. I just did some VR star jumps! You can use both hands at the same time.
+1Really nice! I especially appreciate the take off and landing.
+1Very very cool
+1@ReinMcDeer You are a genius. You gave me the clue to what was missing from this build. A pilot! Coming soon.... VR Cephalopod Rider.

+1Red six have you seen red five? Just love this.
+1@Alisuchanka No, you are perfectly correct, I overstepped. I deleted the posts but I can't stop the notifications going out. Really Sorry.
