@MrMecha I was never totally dead lol, I still played time to time, but just had very few ideas for things to make. The main wings are indeed from the Falken, and there's a lot of F-14 in the body, but for the engines Iwasn't actually thinking Falken or morgan :P Theres still a few planes in it
Looks absolutely beautiful, but it flies just terribly.. as everyone else has already said lol. Also not a fan of the modded engine. Still though, +1 for the visuals.
@Cipher I've been totally inactive. only thing I do is check my messages XD The planes everyone is making nowadays are way too ambitious for me to bother competing, I just don't have the time to make 2000 part artworks
@RedstoneAerospaceDivision Basically the trick is you need an airframe design that is very controllable at very low speeds and high angles of attack. Since balancing the mass and thrust is critical for VTOL, you basically need to design the whole plane around this balance. For the wing layout, you need a substantial amount of lift, or the transition will result in falling to the ground, and of course the CoL should be just behind the mass. If you're having problems, try tossing a light prop on the front and make sure it can fly conventionally. Again, needs to be maneuverable as low as 120 mph. Can't think of much else to say, but hope that helps.
@FrogmasterAereonautics Gonna have to take this for a nice test later ^^ For now, I gotta upvote for that kickass camo alone. But there's one thing I can nitpick - the su-37 actually had flat topped rudders and a different tailpiece from this :P
@Rohan The control surfaces are tuned more for low speed handling. I tried 1.5x thrust and it felt kind of twitchy at the higher speeds. Also the lower overall thrust puts the whole powerband in a more forgivable range for aerials. I know what you mean, but that's why I made It how it is. Afterburners are a good idea though, perhaps I could have that on the useless vtol controls lol
Love the sleek design and excellent handling, but what the heck did you do to those engines? The thing goes almost 500mph at 1% thrust, and at 100%, it just goes faster and faster o_o
@MisterMasada @ChaMikey @Liquidfox @Thehtmguy @Cipher @SimpleTechAndResearch You guys seemed to have interest in the project, so here's the final, finished full thrust vectored version meant to blow away the old one! ^^
Personally, something that I would greatly enjoy, is customizable landing gear, with variable length and wheel sizes. I find all too often that the gear is too small or short for my planes. I have to agree with the vtol control surfaces, as it just feels like it should be an option, but isn't. Intake customization, like wheels, would also be welcomed, but things like weapons bays I personally feel should be created out of the given parts
@FrogmasterAereonautics I'm doing some visual tweaks to make it more accurate and realistic, and fixing my ugly canopy to have the more proper sleek look like this one. Other than visuals, I'm also working on post stall maneuverability, and so far its coming along great. I think you'll like it when its all done ('ヮ')-b
@SelectAKey @SUPERSAMROCK @JShay As always, thanks for the support ^^ @ChaMikey Well its not the same plane really, I just wanted to capture some of the essence, mostly being the unique nose. Whenever I try to replicate things, I usually end up doing something different for fun XD
@Waemoth Probably, but that would create ugly shimmering on the wings unless you offset them a bit. Even then, you would need like 6 wings. I'd say try and get more lift by hiding some lengthwise wings inside the fuselage itself.
Great plane! I noticed one problem though.. As you slowly use up fuel, it becomes less and les stable, until it becomes uncontrollable at about 75%. Must be the fuel tank positioning or something.
It's a beautiful plane, but even with all the heavy weaponry removed, it flies absolutely terribly. I did fix it however. Make ALL of the main wings flat bottom, and make all the rear elevator pieces semi-symmetric. This will fix the unstable roll characteristics at low speed, and it will fly much better in general. @TheChosenZebra
@MEGANOOB I know what you mean about speed, but I do have my reasons for keeping it at a mach 1 limit. First of all, I like the look of the 1.5x jet plume the best. Past that amount of power, the effect starts to get sparse, and it looks funny to me. Also, there's no g-limiter or speed sensitivity settings for controls, which kind of feels ridiculous to me at high speed. It's already pulling enough g's to black out any pilot instantly, and turning like that at mach 2 would basically kill them. And finally, I'm not a huge fan of infinite fuel modding, which it would need. Really though, these are all just little things that bug me. Perhaps I could add an afterburner option on my future planes to satisfy the speed freaks.
@FrogmasterAereonautics Yay attention :D Unfortunately I have not the slightest idea what he was saying, other than he seemed upset when it exploded horribly
I have to say I'm impressed. You made a natural looking shark in a game about planes. XD
Its adorable, like a little toy :D

This is pretty awesome.
Nice and simple. I like it.
@IndianaBones ac4 is a classic to me, and i also loved 5 and zero
I find it pretty ironic that this looks more like an F-16 than most F-16's posted, yet was made with zero references. Not bad. :P
@Cipher I've been totally inactive. only thing I do is check my messages XD The planes everyone is making nowadays are way too ambitious for me to bother competing, I just don't have the time to make 2000 part artworks
@Cipher lol, took you a while to notice this version :P
@Cipher Well, they pretty much said nope to all your missiles, until the off chance that one hits or the AI forgets to react at all.
@Cipher @GALM1 I always thought of the yellows as the hardest, but I guess I just got way better by the time I faced all the other squads :P
@RedstoneAerospaceDivision No problem, but I thought of one more thing. Make sure it doesn't have nose down tendencies in flight
@RedstoneAerospaceDivision Basically the trick is you need an airframe design that is very controllable at very low speeds and high angles of attack. Thanks guys :D @yuri26 @FrogmasterAereonautics @SelectAKey @ChaMikey @MrMecha Also a shoutout to @TheRealTDawg, who just made me hit gold
@OrionAstronaut nah, its not that they're modded, they just seem... ridiculously overcompensating lol
Love the sleek design and excellent handling, but what the heck did you do to those engines? The thing goes almost 500mph at 1% thrust, and at 100%, it just goes faster and faster o_o
Very cool. From the cockpit, it really does feel like i'm flying a boat XD
Thank you very much for the feature! I hope all of you enjoy flying this as much as I do :)
@FrogmasterAereonautics Ready for the epic Sukhoi showdown? :P
@aseder Glad you like :D
@MisterMasada @ChaMikey @Liquidfox @Thehtmguy @Cipher @SimpleTechAndResearch You guys seemed to have interest in the project, so here's the final, finished full thrust vectored version meant to blow away the old one! ^^
@SimpleTechAndResearch fixed, had a bad link lol

Very impressive work, i'll have to upgrade my version to give you some competition :P
This thing's pretty cool. It looks great, and actually works.I love the tiny Yak-41 too
@Cipher Well, I didn't think anyone would like it THAT much XD Thanks ^^
@Waemoth If the pitch is insufficient, try squeezing the CoM closer to the CoL. That should help smaller flaps to have a larger impact
@Waemoth Probably, but that would create ugly shimmering on the wings unless you offset them a bit. Even then, you would need like 6 wings. I'd say try and get more lift by hiding some lengthwise wings inside the fuselage itself.
well, your wing load is 303, and it needs to be at most 40 for good flight.. needs more wing area frankly.. a lot more
gotta go fast
@Liquidfox Heh, I've never even seen the XFA-24, but it does have a lot of that in it. I was however thinking of the CFA-44
Loks exaktley liek a f22 i own 6 of dem in my bakyard 01/01 i 3> it wil u b my frand??
The drift is great, also love the inlet dash XD Its just missing a proper steering wheel though
@JShay Thanks for all the upvotes :O
@Chip2222 yea this already drops to a frame per second if u hold the trigger for more than a small burst lol
Great plane! I noticed one problem though.. As you slowly use up fuel, it becomes less and les stable, until it becomes uncontrollable at about 75%. Must be the fuel tank positioning or something.
Hit 280mph in this thing o_o Take THAT, Bugatti and Hennessey.

@JShay Yay another follower! Thanks, means a lot ^^
idk man, it just feels like its missing something.. like it could be a part of something bigger... a bigger minigun :P
@ChaMikey Oh, I'm sure I'll put out a hideous bright gold plane eventually like everyone else :P Cheers
Thanks! glad you like it :D @Forwind @realluochen9999
@FrogmasterAereonautics Yay attention :D Unfortunately I have not the slightest idea what he was saying, other than he seemed upset when it exploded horribly
I haven't really checked out much of your stuff before, but damn, glad I took a look. You've got some good stuff here
