I intend my builds to fill the ever declining low part count niche. It has always been in my best interest to maximise functional detail and reach the simple, but accurate look and performance, with as little parts as possible.
For future builds, although I will not personally be adding decals, cockpit frame (unless necessary) or details of similar nature, I will optimise my builds to cater the possibility. Moreover, I welcome anyone who wishes to add them.
All and all, a simple build is all they are, I hope you enjoyed them. Whether by flying them yourself, or enacting mass dogfight with them.
@Hedero
to be honest. I don’t know what the code is trying to do either. It is very haphazard, and could be done better. But I can offer some explanation.
.
(clamp(smooth(Throttle,0.015),0,0.05)<0.05)?Throttle * 0.05:clamp(clamp(smooth(Throttle,1),0,0.3)+Throttle * clamp(IAS/(450/3.6),0,0.7),0.03,1)
.
let’s look at the first layer (Ignition Check)?(Spooling):(Normal Running)
Ignition Check gives a bit of time for spooling to occur, before switching to normal running condition
Spooling is the starting of the engine, basically the stage where the propellor runs slowly before engaging fully.
Neither part need changing. They don’t affect flight performance aside from turning on and off the engine.
.
Normal running condition is the fun bit.
It is an equality of a normal throttle, and a throttle based on the airspeed. (evident by the clamping of the two value adding up to 1)
First half of the sum is your normal simpleplanes throttle. I added the smooth method because I can
Second half of the sum is a value of thrust dependant on the airspeed
IAS/(450/3.6) :
- 3.6 is the conversion of value between kph and mps
- 450 is the maximum speed of the plane in real life
.
to get the desired stall performance, tinker with the clamp max value.
that is all.
20000 parts.
Well, like the real yamato, it can’t be used.
+27there is so much drag point, iOS is interpreting it as a phone number.
+9This both feels cursed and should be feature.
+8At least I made those planes fly worse.

Nice, if only a bit big
+2does this match your expectation of a “meme build”@MintLynx
+2oh no
+2Ok, the video taught us simpleplanes could do with better particle, especially water

+2new method of floating is very nice.
+25000 parts is grass
+2Seriously, I look at this, and think
That can be made with at least 200 parts.
+2The increase in the amount of crafts that have more parts than it seems is deeply disturbing.
