@Arne2007 I already have loads

Just grab the thruster off the bottom of this thing and slap it on, if you're still struggling then just tell me
Why is it not balanced, why no hover control, you could do so much more.... I will do so much more cuz this creation is beautiful and deserves better controllability
As many have said, use fuselage blocks, but more than that you can look at detailed reference images and use the built in XML mod to change the size and properties of parts with which you can add a lot of details.... more than that?... just build weird and wonderful stuff that you enjoy building and makes you happy, yeah it's called simpleplanes but I build cars and hover racers, others build mechs and guns and some build anime girls... and memes... and lastly like @VolcanicAsh said, dont be scared to push buttons to see what they do.
I'd say the player character should be able to climb into either a cockpit or chair, which will then give you access the controls of that vehicle because some people might want a part efficient, pretty built cockpit but others (like myself) might want the character to maybe sit in a car or a boat... or a mech... so having an option of a few different seats would be amazing....
@Formula350 there is sadly one major problem with just just using auto connect (as you've now seen for yourself) not mention the fact that a lot of components I had to connect manually (the 3 thrusters at the back) and you said you had problems when mirroring the pods to the other side, that's due to the fact that I used very specific inputs on a lot of the thrusters that sadly just cannot be mirrored without things getting... iffy, but as for reducing how fragile it is, one could easily just add flat (XML edited) hemispheres to the bottom and set bounce to max, I did do this but i didn't like how it looked so I removed it... I also tried just boosting the health of parts that tend to hit the ground but that too didn't help much, due to the speed of the craft (especially when you hit AG4 with max pitch boost) also tried flat wheels, more thrust, changing the neutral pitch, ect. Nothing helps...
Mainly due to the fact that I never really intended for this thing to hit steep ramps, falling off cliffs sure but not ramps, basically because its originally from a racing anime and there weren't really any ramps in said anime (uban star racers)
@TheFlyingPiano @titandeathgripper123
Well understandably so because there is a lot ofbokmy bois on a lot of pistons and rotors so any kind of hard bump will make this thing go bye bye so... don't crash it
Also the input is waaayyy overly complex
For the thrusters
Trim - (AltitudeAgl/10) - rate(AltitudeAgl)
For the yaw of the gyroscope
Yaw - YawRate/20
And boom, simple and stable
You do realise that putting the inputs on the actual VTOL thrusters, you can achieve an easy balance of roll and pitch while still controlling your AltitudeAgl without having to add in a gyroscope and relying on it to balance aircraft
@oan124 yeah steep hills are a pain, now obviously if you watched the anime Uban star racers you'll see they don't really climb hills, but at the same time, I tried my damndest to get that kinda stuff right, sadly with the game only being able to give one place of measurements off the cockpit, it gets kinda tricky to triangulate things, that's why if you go through the inputs of all the thrusters, you'll see that almost everything is based on linear and angular measurements, but hey if you find a way to triangulate AltitudeAgl and the distance of the nearest face or angle of terrain, please tell me, I'm begging you please tell me
@DJ2keroni I will do such, I'm currently rebuilding my whizzing arrow that I built years ago cuz I realized the creation I was so proud of is actually dog doodoo, but if it's helping with hovering and stability, I'm your guy
@Driftman2020 honestly I just downloaded and orthographic projection and used the oblique views image import function and then.... a lot of painful hours screaming at myself for taking this challenge..... and a scientific calculator and a college textbook on trig and area calculations
@RankStarfish201 well first things first, I'll rip out the engine and rack in a turbo rumbler, second imma pump up the back wheels so they slide real nice like and then I'll drop the thing like newborn so its scapes the lowest of speedbumps and then, just for the heck of it... wide body kit
I highly suggest you take a look at my hover vehicles and rip them apart for help with hover mechanics
I also made adjustments, yes it's not your style of hover but this can help you
http://www.simpleplanes.com/a/K6AH3U/tug-bug-adjusted-auto-balancing-and-AltitudeAgl-control
@Itzarock awesome then tells me what shape you need or tag in an unlisted build and I'll lite her up
Imma modify the suspension and add some actual swing to its drift
Take a look at my whizzing arrow build (the latest one) and tell me if that quality is ok
I could easily program those jets for you so that they do VTOL and Throttle

Imma make this walk for you @Baligh
EDIT ok nah you beat me to it.... nice
@MentallyDistorted oooo[ k loom forward to it
@tucan nope.... used to but it.... died
Man I'd love to reshade 4 my hover builds.... how does one do these things....
There used t be this trick where so scale up the size of the minigun bullets but that only worked on missiles

You could push some boundaries and build a hover vehicle, figuring put the perfect settings for the hover is usually pretty rewarding to me
@MentallyDistorted
https://www.simpleplanes.com/a/SN9nKo/AUTO-AIMED-TURRET-AK-2100
@MentallyDistorted
(TargetHeading - Heading + rate(TargetHeading)*(((1000 * sin(asin((TargetDistance * 9.81)/(pow(1000, 2)))/2))/9.81) * 2))/180

@iniMiiW it loads but damn does my phone start cooking.... one day I'll load it on a pc
@iniMiiW bro..... I use my phone that caps my build limit at 600 parts, and that's with heavy lag, if I just load this thing in my game will crash
Damn and here I thought I could shove it in a car

Oh I know exactly what to do with this
I wanna make it hover......
@Zanedavid Idk honestly...
@AWESOMENESS360 many thanks
@DJ2keroni I will do such, I'm currently rebuilding my whizzing arrow that I built years ago cuz I realized the creation I was so proud of is actually dog doodoo, but if it's helping with hovering and stability, I'm your guy
Finally someone who's hover mechanics rival even mine
@Driftman2020 honestly I just downloaded and orthographic projection and used the oblique views image import function and then.... a lot of painful hours screaming at myself for taking this challenge..... and a scientific calculator and a college textbook on trig and area calculations
@210100 same goes for my hover creations in the past, absolute luck, then they added funky trees and now it's just "simple" programming
@210100 I got lucky with the balance
This is sexy... I like
@RankStarfish201 well first things first, I'll rip out the engine and rack in a turbo rumbler, second imma pump up the back wheels so they slide real nice like and then I'll drop the thing like newborn so its scapes the lowest of speedbumps and then, just for the heck of it... wide body kit
@RankStarfish201 well I never built a C10 but I've built an F100 with a wide body kit and dropped suspension
I highly suggest you take a look at my hover vehicles and rip them apart for help with hover mechanics
I also made adjustments, yes it's not your style of hover but this can help you
http://www.simpleplanes.com/a/K6AH3U/tug-bug-adjusted-auto-balancing-and-AltitudeAgl-control
@Dpdfuzz many thanks, I wanted to keep the original V8 so I shoved it in the back
@JJFiRe44 all my hover vehicles tread water like gods, some are just iffy about getting onto the water... gotta be gentle
I made it hover.... also smoothed out the body work a lot
This one too....
I'm gonna rip this one apart too... I'll give my opinion once I'm done
This is unique AF, I'm gonna rip this apart to see how it ticks.....
@GrFrog no problem, and if you got any other hover projects, just hmu and I'll make her fly
Omg a beetle, upvote, favorite and download
Time to make it drift....its my thing I guess
@Craigdimension4 oh I know that, I'm not making some anime chick, it's it's for something different entirely
@Driftman2020 idk
@Driftman2020 idk bro, I saw a sick drifter mini drawing on pinterest and was like yeee imma build that
@Driftman2020 I have, I've watched so many vids but never had the means or opportunity to play either
@Craigdimension4 oooooo its mainly programming of the hinged joints that I neeed
