  • BAE SYSTEMS Vickers D Delta FGR.4 4.1 years ago

By the way, here is a list of all the possible designations of British military aircraft in case you are interested: click me

  • BAE SYSTEMS Vickers D Delta FGR.4 4.1 years ago

This is a pretty cool looking aircraft! Flies pretty nice and is fun to use. A couple things could help though. This plane has an incredibly low stall speed but happens to need almost 400kmph to take off. This is because the rear wheels are very far back from the CoM. The CoL and CoM in general are very far forward. It would make sense to move them both rearward so that the CoM is closer to the landing gear. This would help a lot with having a more reasonable takeoff speed when the stall speed is taken into consideration. The next thing is small but the name doesn’t actually make sense. GR in the British military aircraft designation stands for ground attack and reconnaissance. If this aircraft were replacing the Lightning, it would need the designation F for fighter (also interceptor). If it were to be a fighter/ ground attack/ reconnaissance aircraft, it would need FGR and for just fighter and ground attack FGA. This is just a small detail though and overall it’s a brilliant build! Can’t wait to see more in the future!

Excellent! It is wonderful to fly and looks great! Lovely improvements

  • Cessna SkyCourier 4.2 years ago

Pretty neat job! Seems to be the first of this plane on SP too. The wing area does feel a bit small though (the actual wing parts, not the visual wing), but I can’t seem to find and info on the actual aircraft wing area. Nevertheless, great work!

I like the shape of the fuselage, engines, and tail section but in my opinion the wings don’t fit it too well. Then again it’s just my opinion and overall this looks pretty cool

  • Sukhoi Su-69 4.2 years ago

@OscarLima no problem! Also don’t underestimate what you can create on mobile. All of my builds are made on mobile as well. I actually prefer it to PC funnily enough

  • Sukhoi Su-69 4.2 years ago

@OscarLima so apart from the just the spelling mistakes, I’m not a fan of the name hahaha. When it comes to looks it feels a bit basic but seeing that you’re a new player it’s pretty decent. You’ll learn overtime to make things looks more realistic and still have them fly the way you want. It’s performance is pretty crazy, feels a little like those 3D RC aircraft I used to build and fly as a kid. If you were going for extreme unrealistic performance then you did a good job at it! It pitches up too much (even full downward trim doesn’t counter it) so a less powerful engine would help. The shape is pretty cool looking too. Overall its a nice build!

Excellent video! I’m sure this was a lot of work but it would be awesome to see even more short films like this

  • CM.170 4.2 years ago

Pretty cool! In Holland there is a place where you can fly in one of these for about an hour. They’re pretty fun aircraft

@Hedero I would love to upload but since I made a new plane while using the beta, there is a glitch on my app where I can’t change the colour of parts. Once that’s fixed though I’ll upload something

    @Inuyasha8215 thanks for the upvote!

  • F-86 4.2 years ago

@lancelot3340 will you give that a go?

  • F-86 4.2 years ago

Also I would rebuild the nose using one fewer intake pieces since you can shape and angle one to give it a similar shape to that on the 86. I would then use panelling to shape it up a bit more. You could also make the entire nose section from panelling but it won’t be as rounded

  • F-86 4.2 years ago

Not too bad! Intake is a little too small and it’s a bit fast but other than that it’s pretty good. Fun to fly and nice to look at

  • Regarding Mass Tagging 4.2 years ago

@EternalDarkness okay thanks for the clarification!

  • Regarding Mass Tagging 4.2 years ago

@Stickman Jetstream is great for that. I wasn’t on for about 2 weeks and had well over 200 notifications from that. It’s not as efficient as tagging one or two people which hardly gives you any points anyway

  • Regarding Mass Tagging 4.2 years ago

@Stickman it’s a bit hard to see something if you’re not on SP everyday or even every week. I like it when I come back on after a while and get notifications from buddies who want to show me their builds they think I will like. Just because I wouldn’t have seen it otherwise doesn’t mean I wouldn’t care

  • Groundhog 4.2 years ago

@BuckFlight fair enough. If that’s what you were going for you did a great job at it!

  • Missile engine ignition 4.2 years ago

@rexzion hahaha if only that was a thing. Look up the piper enforcer to see a P-51 that actually had modern weapons

  • Missile engine ignition 4.2 years ago

@Grob0s0VBRa oh my god how did I not even think of that on my own hahaha. Thanks man!

  • Missile engine ignition 4.2 years ago

@BagelPlane is there an updated version with new inputs because i don’t remember it

  • Missile engine ignition 4.2 years ago

@Grob0s0VBRa thanks for the response but that’s not what I mean. That is just the time between missiles fired. I mean a delay in the ignition of the rocket motor in the missile from the time it was dropped. Some aircraft and weapons systems do this in order to ensure clearance between the aircraft and the weapon

  • RJ Goose 6F.1 3.8 4.2 years ago

Excellent build! Very pleasant to fly and look at

  • Groundhog 4.2 years ago

Looks pretty neat! Quite a good looking build, especially for something so simple. I can’t help feeling that it’s underpowered though. Maybe try lowering drag a tiny bit more and doubling the engine power will help with that. Otherwise I really enjoyed this build!

  • Battle Of Britain 80th Anniversary 4.2 years ago

    @MartinAviationAndAeronautics no worries :)

  • Battle Of Britain 80th Anniversary 4.2 years ago

@TheCCCP with your attitude no wonder you were banned. Hope you take some time to think during the 9.7 days you have left 🙂

  • Regarding Mass Tagging 4.2 years ago

What if you build something with a few players in mind and want to tag them. Is that allowed?

  • Battle Of Britain 80th Anniversary 4.2 years ago

As much as I love to see this be remembered and have the hero’s celebrated, I feel like this should be a forum post. The thumbnail is kind of misleading

  • M163A1 Vulcan(AI Ground Target) 4.2 years ago

@Jauntyccmbr sorry bud but I don’t have it on Windows and I mostly just use mobile. If you ask it on the forums page someone will definitely help you

@Jauntyccmbr this won’t work if you’re on mobile btw

  • Hf-25 Fictional Plane 4.2 years ago

This too is pretty neat. The overall shape is great but I can’t help feeling that the engine is too powerful. If you reduce the drag to around 1750 and lower to engine power to around .3 it will fly quite nicely

  • “1.10 Beta Edition Test Plane” 4.2 years ago

This is really fantastic! It looks excellent and flies pretty well too. Switching the flaps to the VTOL control might be better so that you can use that separate from trim by the way. Overall though this was a lovely build!
