@ToadOad I made the raft and it’s jerky and pretty trash. I’m currently developing a newer, better engine type that uses a rotator instead of the magnet and is reversable
@Squidge did you put the throttle all the way up? That’s what provides lift. VTOL is propeller speed and trim is direction of the propellers
Also, you need to press ag2 to detach the landing mast before you can take off
@jelybaca well, If I look out my window rn, I’d say you pretty much nailed it. If you were going to update it though, the only trees that grow past around 3 feet are the ones behind the rocky outcrops or around other trees. What I would do is have the shoreline especially on the north side almost bare except for small “tree islands” and on the southern face of the hills, and behind that a gradual dome shape of the tree height... if that makes sense? Basically wind comes from north and tree don’t grow in wind
More flushed out idea: there should be a separate camera view to see all the negative blocks, like the x-ray view but it’s a negative space view
More controversial idea: negative space blocks should only work on fuselage blocks
And it doesn’t use vtol, it uses normal jet engines. They have a gyro and are on pivots so it will always point directly upward and thus make it indistinguishable from natural buoyancy
@LtzAsk it doesn’t work. The games gravity effects all objects no matter the weight. You’ll notice my designs only weigh a couple thousand pounds. This is because it’s balanced with upwards thrust and thus flies like a true airshi

Could use some tightening up of the linkages, but otherwise great job!
@sexylips35 I was asking what kind of mechanical wizardry makes this thing work the way it does
@ToadOad I’ll do it. Paddle wheel or propeller?
No, I ment mechanically wise
Ok, how the heck does this even work!?!
@sexylips35 oh jeez, there I am thinking I had an original idea lol
@sexylips35 you might be interested in this
@cruiseman101 it’s just a crappy build. I have much better ones
You never said anything about pistons
Reminds me of a certain museum exhibit
0/10 not janky enough
@Squidge not nice... try on high physics maybe?
@Squidge nice lol
@Squidge what was it?
@Squidge so I tried it out and it worked perfectly fine, are you on high physics?
@Squidge how? Did it rise at all? Was the lift not enough?

I can send you some shoreline pics if you are interested

may I ask what inspiration you took from Churchill? I have a... close connection to there and I’m interested
“I did this on my iPhone 6”
What dark magic do you possess to be able to keep an iPhone alive while running this
Mini an-2
It’s a bit fast. Also, I’d love to see that second, cancelled airship
Oh damm

@jamesPLANESii I know it is
Jk, I thought so because that’s what the “select” option is
@scratch yes, is that not .xml? Anyway, it’s tweaking values
It’s just a way to tweak certain .xml values. I don’t know much about it but as a mobile user it’s a lifesaver
@ChisP but Andrew was far too powerful
Now this is podracing!
You spelled it wrong, the plane is not a homosexual
@InternationalAircraftCompany it’s out! https://www.simpleplanes.com/a/9Ffw5H/a-N-D-R-E-W
@jelybaca I will occasionally take a breath.
Yeah, I’m not very active anymore, usually I’ll just make some neat mechanism and maybe post it
@TankHunters so was i
Damm, such a great craft. Too bad it’s being buried in new
It is done
It’s all good dude. It’s only a game and when you don’t feel like it don’t play it. You’ll probably come back later
Oh, just realized it likes to go backwards for some reason
Can someone please tell me what this is about?
Oh crap. The valve system doesn’t move enough to make the stroke work, so I’m going to need to build my own
then add them
Same story here dude
There needs to be simpleships
@LtzAsk can I see it? Make an unlisted airplane and tag me in the comments I’d love to try

@ACEPILOT109 I’m going to remake this design with heli roters
@ACEPILOT109 in the funky trees thing under scalars (it’s at the bottom) there’s a ground effect tweaker. Scale it up but not by 1000
Oh no you spotlighted it... the heli rotors work way better don’t listen to this
@ACEPILOT109 water provides much more lift than water, so it’s just hydrofoils.
I would use the heli rotor ground effect though, it works better
