@Johawks1976 Yup, its so my computer doesn't melt when I use this. I will upload a variant with a few missiles on board within 30 minutes. The link will be in the description.
The reason my computer would melt is because each vertical launch tube is a quadruple launcher. It would take over 1000 parts to give the ship its full firepower capability. But if I were to arm it, I would xml edit launch delays to be 0.2 seconds so its like a machine gun of missiles.
@MintLynx Yup, sloped or angled large armor plates resist damage from rams by aircraft and the kinetic energy based missiles the destroyers launch. I’ll post a screenshot of the strength of the ships armor soon. For now, I’ll post screenies on discord https://discord.gg/KeDqacp
Eh, I was working on this because I was bored and saw it in the Visual Novel Muv-Luv. I made my own version of it basing a lot of things off of it. @Johawks1976
Probably some sort of part or ability to configure the strength between connections on parts. It would be great if we could have ships that won't tear themselves apart.
@DEATH2REVIVE Yup, I based it off the Zumwalt’s turrets. Since they were planned to have a railgun in one of them. But I don’t think any of them have. This was a test ship for the Zumwalt Class I’m working on with these turrets. I just got bored and started working on this thing lol.
@BlazeInfinity Yeah, to complete Yamato I'm removing some armor plating to make part space for the superstructure. Any parts I can spare will be going to detail. This ship btw was just to give some sort of a hull so I don't just upload a single gun and thats it. I just took Akizuki and replaced the guns. I named the ship according to Japanese naval vessel naming doctrine. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Japaneseship-namingconventions
This vessel was named after the Shimanto river, I found no Japanese existing vessels with the name Shimanto.
.
Btw I tested, these guns work in multiplayer. Pretty fun to play with.
Will guns be able to work? More importantly flares and chaff? Ship builders are kinda rip when aircraft start dropping bombs down on em xD.
.
Edit: Do bombs explode on the both computers if its hit by a bullet from a gun?
I might make Musashi as it has less AA guns than Yamato. Which would mean having less parts which I could handle. Or the A-150 battleship based off of Wiki specifications, Battlestations Pacific, and Naval Creed models.
Yamato wasn't a dreadnought. Also its not wasted deck space. Using up more of the deck for guns just creates more problems. Too many guns to load ect. Too many main batteries results in the citadel being too large resulting in needing more armor for the citadel. Which means more weight. Also the places with lower armor which is common for AoN ships, contain crew spaces and other types of rooms.
Something like a warship or artillery firing effect. Like a nozzel that activate when the fire guns button is pressed and makes a fake explosion that looks like a battleship firing. Configurable to be smaller blast for smaller sized guns.
You can go inside the Kraken. Maybe they could add something where you have to go inside the Kraken and drop a large payload. But make the tentacles actually target and try to kill you. Then you have to escape through the um "rear end" thats at the back of the Krakens interior.
I'll make a forum post soon with unlisted versions of Hood and Bismarck, and soon Prinz Eugen and Prince of Wales. Those versions of Hood and Bismarck will have a new Citadel system I'm working on added in for PVP where you have to detonate the resized Boom 50 in the citadel to call a kill in Multiplayer. Since damage is only client side you have to either trust the opponents word or post screenshots via discord message of the explosion.
Which ship should I try making first? Prince of Wales or Prinz Eugen.
Anyways, I built Hood and Bismarck for a Denmark strait type PVP duel in multiplayer. You fight by calling kills when the green contact box disapears. Number of "restart here" is based on half the main armor belt thickness in inches. I heard rockets work in multiplayer at close range due to ram damage. Currently Bismarck is a bit crap at taking damage anywhere that isnt its armor belt. Im working to improve its survivability. Hood is fine how it is.
@FlyingManiac Oh, I was watching a video and it said Bismarck hit Hood "Dead Center". But it would make more sense that the aft magazine caused the explosion due to the large collumn of fire that erupted.
@BlazeInfinity The invite link is expired. Also, I found that the rockets do ram damage in multiplayer. Another reason for the low amount of detail is: when me and some friends do fleet battles, we may cause lag if we all were in 800 part ships. Though, I am going back and detailing Bismarck more for non PVP purposes.
Will there be anymore updates coming soon? Also, so this works by putting you in control of an AI plane right? Could machine guns work by sending a command via fire button to the AI on all online players clients?
@FGW2014 Sounds great! I currently rely on downloading xml modded parts from sets to make weapons as I don't have much access to computers editing. Ill come to you if I need something I can't find.
I'm pretty sure this would be classed as a super battleship not a super destroyer. Destroyers are small, fast, light armored, and agile with small guns. Battleships are slow, heavy armed and armored. If this ship doesn't have a lot of armor I would say its a super Battle Cruiser.
.
10/10 tho
@FGW2014 Thankyou, I have been experimenting with artillery weapon design for my battleships. Though they only are able to fire one time per barrel. It is fun to use. I have though a flak shell in mind. Firing toward an aircraft and activating the shell detonation when you see it through orbit cam near the target aircraft.
@Awsomur Thank you. I will be designing more vessels in the future. I hope NPCs will be able to control these kind of vessels one day so we can actually have some ship to ship combat in the skies.

@Dllama4 Multiplayer is screwing up.
@BlazeInfinity looks at rear view screwup
e-e, yeah.

Use more deck for more guns=Larger Citadel=More armor=More weight=Bad no no

Omg I love this. This turret has more parts than my Yamato xD. Keep up the good work.
Dayum this is amazing. I wish I could run this many parts to see the ship in detail xD.

Yamato enters the race lol
Probs would be stuck at the starting line warming up its engines while the others are half way.
Nice
@BlazeInfinity Alright, I sent you a friend request. It should be from Ro ✓ᵛᵉʳᶦᶠᶦᵉᵈ
UPDATE: New Version of the battleship with better guns. https://www.simpleplanes.com/a/xLzK0S/German-Battleship-Bismarck-Rework
@BlazeInfinity you set it for limited uses right? Someone is using them up I believe. Gimme a sec to think of something
@BlazeInfinity It still appears to be invalid. Try giving me the join code. Like a new code, not the prev

@BlazeInfinity Yeah, I mostly make simple stuff to keep part counts low for players.
@Strikefighter04 Lol, I'm working on Hood, Prince of Wales, and Prinz Eugen for a Denmark Strait battle :P
@QuantausAviation Eh, I'm pretty new though.
Image posted.

@Prinzessin Yeah, I got the game on the computer. I just design random stuff on mobile when I'm bored and away from my laptop.
@Prinzessin Sure but I don't know how I could help.
