I've built a couple of ferries and other ships in SP and aside from the submarine bases at Yeager and Snowstone there really arent many places I can easily get to. I have to run aground on some beach. Maybe put some piers/docks/slipways in places.
This part would be associated with a car engine much like wheels already are. Other parts such as fuselage pieces can be attached to it and it would rotate with the engine, allowing for easier shaft driven machinery.
@Apollo018362 The control surfaces deflect more at lower indicated airspeed to compensate for reduced effectiveness. This as well as other features like the auto trim, angle of attack limitation and air refuelling control mode are enabled by using complex Funky Trees functions for the control surfaces, instead of just a single input (roll, pitch, yaw etc). For example, this is the full input for the left inboard elevon:
I remember the days with the old propeller engines and no procedural fuselage pieces, just blocks. This looks amazing!
Will this be available on mobile? Will multiplayer be available on mobile? Will there be compatibility with SP1 designs? How does the physics compare with SP1 (ground effect)? What happens to funky trees?
@AndrewGarrison Can you allow us to adjust the size of the joystick "dead zone" on touchscreen devices? I often find this annoying as it makes fine control inputs difficult (A-A refuelling is a nightmare as a result).
@AndrewGarrison Will we get underwater cam on mobile? There was a mod for it a while back, which worked brilliantly, until it was taken away. I miss cruising around in my submarine.
@TheFantasticTyphoon on this ship there is no forward ramp, only the stern ramp. You need to reverse off or turn around before disembarking. Most Ro-Ro cargo ferries are like this.
@TheFantasticTyphoon Thanks for your suggestion. I'll start working on a brand new Ro-Pax ferry design tomorrow. The MV Wright Island has over 700 parts making it difficult to work with. The updated construction technique I'm currently using allows me to cut that figure in half whilst maintaining a high standard of quality.
@HelloX No, I decided to work on it some more, better fuselage shape now but the modified flight control system still has some issues which need fixing.
Multiple Crafts Playable At Once
Allow us to spawn multiple crafts at once and switch between them in game.
+30Better Roads
Better roads on the islands so we can actually drive about the place without a 50/50 chance of crashing.
+23More places for boats to go.

+11@BryanO5 in addition to those parts you suggested, maybe also add a
Nuclear Reactor
Operates similarly to a car engine, much heavier but requires no fuel or air. Good for powering things underwater.
+10So is this a bit like SimplePlanes crossed with Minecraft?
+9Engine Output Part

Maybe also disable the rotation speed limit.

Not bad at all for a first plane. I remember accidentally building my first plane the wrong way around, so it spawned facing the wrong direction.

@jamesPLANESii I wanted the correct font. It still runs well enough on my iPad.

@Galaxyace Not a priority at the moment, because:
a) We have a carrier catapult in game now (no such thing when I built my own, that’s why I made it).
b) It was a total nightmare to get working well, we’re talking several hours of minute adjustments to a single part to make it work without exploding.
c) I’m working on this now: https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/53775473747dc7710b9a9o_d.png
After more than nine years, the SimpleCargo has its first upvote!
XML updated to fix an issue with the left main landing gear. No idea how that happened, haven’t touched the gear in ages.
