I'm not quite following you here @nickasaurusrex Are you building a miniature plane that you can put on the deck of an aircraft carrier? If so, it's extremely difficult to get much detail out of a small replica. But when I build I always start with the nose and work backwards.
@Notapier yeah I remembered that crazy little one. I am going to put it on hold until the update comes in August. With the new pieces it'll look much better.
@JMicah4 Oh man I've never had that kind of failure while flying it (except for on the beta). What device are you playing on and what are your settings? I noticed it was kind of laggy for ya. Be sure to have the physics set to the lowest. Are you playing on the beta? If you are, I don't think it adequately supports the part-clipping I used to build this plane.
@Rohan awesome man! I noticed some of the pieces were flashing colors (namely the wing stars). Try putting your graphics settings up higher, it might fix that.
@Geebers good suggestions. I plan on getting back to prop planes but I think I am going to wait until the new fuselage pieces arrive. Imagine the ultra-super realistic replicas I could make with those!!
@PlanesOfOld there's no glitch for the air intakes. I just part-clipped them in creative ways to hide them. Structural wings are the absolute best piece in the game. They can attach anywhere and can part-clip without obstructing the function of other pieces. I stashed the air intakes inside the wings.
@Wakescar haha yeah it was a good time though. The bartini was one I remembered though. I got some ideas of how to make it an actual ground effect craft.
@AllStarship I thought it was high time I built a Russian plane. And what better one than the soviet counterpart to everyone's favorite A-10? Glad you enjoy it and thanks!
@LordofLego I'm happy that troubleshoot worked out for you. It's a trick I commonly try when bigger planes cause lag on my device. But I agree with you, I prefer high physics and graphics too. Anyway I just want to help others fully enjoy this great game!
@WalrusAircraft / WalrusJr I actually have no graphic design experience/skills and I don't even remotely understand how coding works... I guess I just have patience and persistence haha. Thanks for the kind words!
@Geebers thanks a lot, my man, I really appreciate it! It actually had much more detail on it than now (numbers painted under the cockpit, stars under the wings, etc.) but it began to lag even on my laptop! And would just crash the game on my ad lol. I'm glad you like it!
@LordofLego I understand. But I have no idea why you are experiencing excessive nose heaviness. I never upload planes that don't fly well and this one has great balance. Can you do a little experiment for me? Set your physics to low but keep everything else at the highest. See if that does anything for you.
@LordofLego seems like you've been seeing a lot of lag on the medium and larger size designs. What device are you using? Have you adjusted your in-game settings? In this game the 'physics settings' eat up a lot if processing power and cause lag on mobile devices. Set your physics to low and see if that helps.
@Authros to be honest I am kind of displeased with the side to side wiggle and tried my damnedest to get rid of it. I stashed vertical stabilizers everywhere and they only made a small difference. I think you are right though, it's most likely due to the 'double decker' wings. But your idea of a cross wind on landing is pretty imaginative and a clever way to cover up the flaw haha! Thanks for giving her a go!!
@kaaraabinerFixtures that's one of the planes that I remembered when I accidentally deleted my list. I'll defiantly make a hyper-realistic one for you!
@WeeBabySeamus One thing is for sure; you guys sure know how to tease new content/updates. Between your response and the pic Andrew posted on the subreddit...its just too much, I can't wait!! That prop wash concept sounds spectacular! You could really hover with a nose prop?! That'd be so useful in making an XFV Salmon! Hope it got the green light.
@kaaraabinerFixtures haha thanks! I just build for the fun of it, dude. Peep my other replicas and be sure to request your favorite real life plane and I'll try to build it!
@Cedy117 Oh awesome, I love 1950s jets!! Just a heads up though, I'll probably only be able to put the roundel on the top side of the main wings. I can try to do it on the sides of the rear fuselage, but it won't look all that great due to the cone shape of it.
@WeeBabySeamus Thanks, my man! I got a quick question for ya. Is it frowned upon for the Devs to make and upload their creations? I've noticed you kinda stopped uploading since you got your new gig (which is awesome by the way, congrats again!). Or have you just been way to busy lately? Anyways, you've always been my favorite builder!
@Cedy117 it's never a bother to help a fellow builder. But I am afraid XML modding is a bit more complicated than you might think. The decals I make aren't self-contained assemblies that can be dragged and dropped onto any old planes. They consist of individual pieces that I just reposition to make an image. So I essentially need at least a semi- finished plane so I can properly align the pieces to place the symbol where it belongs (like on the wings for example). That being said, if you got a plane, you can upload it and I'll try to slap the leaf on her and give it back to you!
@Hypnoticchicken @JMicah4 @Cedy117 Thanks for the quick response fellas!! Let me know if you run into any problems with it. I was only able to test it on an iPad and iPhone.
@Tuffnut Thanks, my man! Glad you had fun with her. Don't hesitate to make any plane recommendations. And if you need any advice I am more than happy to help!
This is great! You're really developing some great building skills. You absolutely nailed the flight characteristics, she is well balanced. And implementing a bombay is a fairly intricate process, but yours is great! Now just focus on some details. Slap an authentic paint job on it and try to integrate some retractable landing gear!!!
@Kevpilot @Spikerya I am still making planes. But not as frequently as before... I've been crazy busy lately and hope to play as much as I can! I got another hyper-realistic plane coming out soon (this weekend).
@PlanesOfOld my props utilize the plane's airspeed in order to spin. I don't use vtol nozzles to make them spin (I'm not a fan of flaming propellers lol). Mine are just wing pieces attached to a freely spinning rotator. The trick is that the blades of the propeller have to be a certain width to catch the 'wind' and make them spin. The downside to my prop design is that they don't spin until you achieve a certain speed. So during takeoffs, the props don't spin...
@JMicah4 for me it's all about trial and error. A lot of error... It takes me hours to get one aspect of the plane just right. So my best advice to give is have patience and keep trying to improve your build style.
@planelover400 Thanks, my man. It means a lot! I don't build for points or ranks. I do it because I enjoy seeing people have fun with models of their favorite real life planes in a game!!
@planelover400 I know its been awhile and I hate keeping my followers waiting. I've been crazy busy lately. But trust me, when my next plane drops, its going to be a game changer. I've clocked more than 120 hours building it, but I ran into a lot of problems. If I am lucky it will be done by tomorrow. If not, definitely this weekend. I'll upload some teaser pictures to the subreddit tonight.
I love me some big flying boats! You get the freedom to land and take off wherever you want (except for the ground lol). This is a very pretty seabird.
I like it. I am a fan of the minimalist style replicas. They kinda remind me of those rudimentary wooden-block models in hobby shops. You should start a series of replicas in this style. P.S. sorry I haven't been responding to you lately; I've been crazy busy with life and my current build. But keep it up!
@JMicah4 Oh I see. I'm glad you're making that. I scrapped mine because it was WAY too large and lagged something fierce (and it didn't even have much detail on it yet too!!). Anyway, I like my designs to work on mobile devices so I canceled that project. I figured @WalrusAircraft would get around to making it. He's a great ship builder, glad he's helping you out.
Pretty damn sweet! I love WWII heavy bombers!!
I'm not quite following you here @nickasaurusrex Are you building a miniature plane that you can put on the deck of an aircraft carrier? If so, it's extremely difficult to get much detail out of a small replica. But when I build I always start with the nose and work backwards.
@Cedy117 it's ready? Ok upload it and I'll add the leafs
I'll add it to the list. @WWIIPlaneBuilder
@Notapier yeah I remembered that crazy little one. I am going to put it on hold until the update comes in August. With the new pieces it'll look much better.

@AndrewGarrison thanks! Means a lot coming from you. And I can't wait for the coming update!
@DragonCreations lol that's way to much math for my liking. Little late for me to get into that anyhow.
@Geebers good suggestions. I plan on getting back to prop planes but I think I am going to wait until the new fuselage pieces arrive. Imagine the ultra-super realistic replicas I could make with those!!

@Rohan yeah man, post the link!
@Vikdesigns that's one I missed, thinks for reminding me!

@Matthew240 I never left!
@kaaraabinerFixtures haha thanks! I just build for the fun of it, dude. Peep my other replicas and be sure to request your favorite real life plane and I'll try to build it!
@Teus, oh dude thanks so much! You're too kind

@abhay cheers, dude! I build nothing but replicas, take a peek at them. And don't hesitate to make a request for your favorite plane!!!

@Johawks1976 It's an Su-25 Frogfoot. I posted a couple of teaser pictures on the subreddit if you want to take a peek.

This is excellent. I've never heard of the Dragonfly before. Pretty neat little plane!
Play around with the blades' position, angle, and size. The weight of the blades also contribute to its spin speed. @PlanesOfOld

I like the paint coat. Makes it really look like a phantom/ghost. This bird was due for an update. Great job!!

@planelover400 With all these techniques I am learning, the mosquito will be one beautiful bug lol
@planelover400 Its a jet from a country I have never replicated yet. I will finish your mosquito, I promise!!!

This is a seriously awesome plane. Good work!!!
Awesome dude!
